The cutest little spot serving Tulum vibes and exciting fusion dishes. It's a smaller, more intimate space so best suited for small groups. Def on the pricier side and the portions were small BUT that just means you can order more Highly recommend starting with the Ma*dé chirashi - buttery potatoes topped with trout, yellowtail, uni, & ikura. Warm base and cold topping combo felt kinda wrong wrong but very unique!! LOVED the yellowtail toast, kewpie mayo always hits Crab dip was solid (salty tho) and tasted better with the nori chips. Endives were a tad wilted. I would pass on the lobster dumplings, came out last and tasted bland & heavy after all the fresh bites. I'm a firm believer in double desserts especially when everything sounds exciting. Mango pudding was YUM Especially with the basil ice cream, there was a nice blend of freshness & creamy goodness. Chocolate mousse is double the fun. You have the rich cholate base with both black sesame ice cream AND raspberry sorbet. Lots happening but tasted amazing together. ma*dé chirashi $28* yellowtail toast $9pp* crab dip $26 lobster dumplings $34 mango pudding $16* chocolate mousse $16* 소호 끝자락에 위치한 마데.

Huge fan of their sister restaurant, Wayan, so was excited to try this. While we enjoyed our meal, it is no Wayan. The tasting menu is family style ("hidang") which I think is fine in theory (everything is served at once), but in practice it means it takes a fair amount of time to prepare the food and the tables (which are very small and packed together, I feel like I knew everything about the table next to us) can't handle so much food at once super well. Ultimately, there are a ton of dishes and we enjoyed some more than others. My favorites were the fluke sashimi, roasted squid, avocado & jícama, and kangkung pleacing. For the proteins we got the spare rib and the butterfish. The butterfish is much more tomato-forward than I was expecting. The suggestion was to eat it in a piece of lettuce, which I do think helped balance out the flavor. But not my favorite fish. The spare rib was superior and this was a pretty standard tear-apart piece of meat. The sauce that it came with I wasn't super blown away by. I do wish we were given a knife to cut it up a bit more than we could with our spoon, though. The decor was cute without being overwhelming (especially since we were all so close together). Service was super nice. One bathroom which is whatever. Ultimately, would definitely go back to Wayan over this place but I think it was an interesting try. They are on InKind, so if you use this would definitely recommend.

Overall, this place had some unique dishes (some I enjoyed more than others) and great ambiance. There's nothing I would necessarily come back for or that I crave, but I think it's worth checking out. Ambiance: restaurant is long and narrow, likely not good for larger groups. The decor is great. They play house music, it's a lively atmosphere, but doesn't necessarily feel like a party spot. Service was great. Food: it's meant to be family style. They recommend around 6 dishes for 2 people. A lot of what we got was quite rich and heavy. Some notable dishes (some better than others):-Sea Trout Tartare: this might've been my favorite. I thought it was the most flavorful and well balanced. -Chirashi: a lot of reviews said they thought the potatoes were weird, but I actually liked them in this dish. My only qualm is that there are way too many. The dish is primarily potatoes with a tiny amount of seafood. -Crab Dip: I personally did not enjoy this dish. I was hoping for a traditional crab dip and there were too many different herbs and seasoning, it was overwhelming for me. -Lobster Dumplings: comes with 4. These are good! Just very rich. -Mushrooms: good, but quite heavy and rich. -Madelines: these are mini and come with a side of warm melted chocolate. Great dessert. -Banana Sticky Toffee Pudding: not too sweet. Perfect dessert.

Really interesting place. Came here for an event and got to try their new Padang menu, all of which was pretty solid. Loved that there was a fair bit of heat to a lot of the dishes. The meats & desserts were the standout, all fantastic. Great service and great space

JOYFUL EXPERIENCE ALERT. Probably closer to 4.5 stars. The style of dining here (at least week nights it seems) is to order a prix fixe menu which comes with about 10 items, one of which is a choice of 4 protein dishes (so if you see that old menu in the photos, know it seems to be gone which was a little safe cause I wanted to try some of it). The food is so yummy and so fun, the staff are kind, and the vibe inside is cozy. I loved how many things we got to try, and the dinnerware is SO cute. The drink I got was delicious and amazingly creamy for how light and fresh it was. The desserts do come with the prix fixe but the serve will kinda make it seem like they don't and ask if you want (additional) desserts, so be aware of that. Otherwise, highly recommend enjoying an experience here.

Wonderful place for brunch for something a little different than the standard brunch fare. We were there for a late brunch on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was relatively quiet. The flavors were amazing - we had the Sea Trout Tartare, Mollet Egg, Dumpling Tower, Egg a La Coque and Golden French Toast - not a miss.A little pricey but worth it!

Great experience from food to service. Beautiful presentation with fresh ingredients and flavors. Would definitely return and the pop up in the Hamptons this summer was welcomed.

Seriously loved Ma*Dé on my most recent trip to New York. The vibes are relaxing and immaculate. Service is so attentive. This was upscale dining at its best. Perfect for a celebration dinner. The miso butterfish is literally everything you want and more. All of the food was incredible. Standouts included the lobster dumplings, fava bean dumplings, oysters and razor clams, miso butterfish and the mushrooms. Straight to the top of my New York recommendations.

The staff here was really helpful as we ordered drinks and suggested the Tulum if I wanted a less strong cocktail. The cocktail was very refreshing without tasting too healthy. The drinks are prettily decorated, and the space matches the summer vacation vibe of the drinks -- bright, airy, and laid back.
