Corn ($18) - corn sablé and mousse, grilled corn cream. Just OK. Tastes like corn. I wish there were more sable.
Inside of Corn ($18) - corn sablé and mousse, grilled corn cream. Just OK. Tastes like corn. I wish there were more sable.
Apple-Yuja Tart ($17) - honey crisp apple, yuja cream, omija gele. Very tart, fruity, and refreshing. Felt overpriced though.
Lysée ($17) - Korean toasted brown rice mousse, Elliot pecan, caramel. I wish there were more sable and praline. On the sweeter side.

I got takeout from Lysee because the dine in area is reservation only and they were filled up for the day. If you want to have a dine in experience, make sure to book a reservation in advance. Though the desserts are on the pricy side, they did not disappoint! The corn mousse is so cute and really resembles corn! The mousse was so light and fluffy, with mild corn flavors. The bottom of the corn mousse was a crust like mixture that contained corn flakes which I thought was really clever. It gave the dessert a nice crunch. The mango and passion fruit tart was my favorite - the tartness was perfect to balance out the sweetness. I loved every component of the tart - starting from the mango sauce to the passion fruit cream, and even the fluffy coconut mousse. The crust was so thin and the flavors complimented the pastry well.

The signature milk drink was life-warping. Yes, I know it's usually "life-changing" but that's how much it has changed my life.IG pics of Sujungwa featured frosted glass bottles. It doesn't taste as good in the classic clear variety.

I've had my eyes on this spot for a long while, and finally got a reservation to try them out, especially since "the sweet tooth" runs in the family here... The whole concept is great - desserts as art, immaculately plated, very Instagramable (guilty as charged too), and - which can sometimes be an afterthought in these situations - the desserts we tried also actually tasted great! The a-la carte savory options are quite limited (but we won't hold it against them, it is a dessert shop after all), and the winter quiche with the addition of pickles was very comforting in the subzero weather. The V.I.C (multi-layered chocolate cake) is to die for, and the seasonal pear-yuja tart (with both Korean and PNW pears) was fresh, not too sweet, and just lovely. So why not 5 stars? Well, here is my take on it: for a takeout option, this place is golden - if I lived in NYC, this would be my go-to for something sweet for a special meal at home, a celebration, or just because there is always room for dessert. However, the sit-down experience is a bit awkward - the space is small, feels crammed, with tiny tables that can barely fit two sets of drinks and desserts, and the service is sometimes a bit clumsy. Would I go back? See above - for a takeout, 100%.

Enjoyed the dine in experience. Lysée was a decent spot. Wasn't incredible but everything was fine: food, service and ambiance included. I expected a bit more due to the high price points. Ordered 3 items: the Lysée signature, Corn and Chocolate Chip Banana Caramel Cookie. Lysée was good, Corn was a little disappointing as it didn't have much flavor. The Chocolate Chip Banana Caramel Cookie was by far my favorite item ordered, very yummy. The items were very visually appealing.Ordered 2 drinks: Lysée milk and Yuzu Pear Juice. The Lysée milk was initially really good but as I drank more, the after taste was a little strange. The Yuzu Pear Juice was good.

This place is so cute and features some very delicious, hyper realistic desserts! Definitely a place that is best experienced with friends or a partner :) Please be warned that despite having a fair amount of seating it does get full fast! Also be warned that many popular items (like the mango dessert for example) often sell out well before closing time. Get there early to make sure you get the goods you want!

I love this spot! Feels like iv been transported into a cute cafe in Korea. The deserts are beautifully crafted and delicious as well. I got the corn and the Christmas tea. The corn was very smooth and creamy in the outer layers, and more textured and flavored with corn bits in the center. I do with there was more inside filling for the ratio but it was still yummy. The leaves on the outside were made with white chocolate. The Christmas tea paired well with the corn, which comes with a free refill of hot water. The space was clean, aesthetic in a small space. Upstairs is where you can order to go options and take a look at all of the desert options. Will definitely be stopping by next time to try more desserts!TIP: make a reservation online ahead of time if you want to sit without waiting.

Honestly it was pretty overpriced. Each piece looked like an art but the taste was alright. The tea that I ordered has small portions and I didn't like the taste of it. Tasted like something that I can get easily from a regular corn tea bag. I don't think I would visit here again. One time only.

The pastries are indeed top notch but not sure if I would consider magical but do look amazing. The presentation is indeed perfect. The corn was good but may be not the fav item i tried. My fav thus far is the tomatoes quiche. Service is excellent. The ambience is fantastic. One can complain about the price but that's always a bit true for fancy stuff lol...Highlights:Tomatoes quiche - perfect harmony here but I love savory foodMille Feuille - a bit on the sweet side but rest is perfect, better than the corn in term of foodHojicha Latte - perfectly executed

Took my friend here for her birthday and we got the signature tasting menu. Every item was an explosion of seasonal flavors. The corn, kouigh-amann, and the pear tart -- were all incredible. This place definitely delivered as one of the best bakeries in the city! The server was really knowledgeable and friendly as well. My only minor complaint is that the place is rather small and has a communal/cafeteria style dining vibe versus a cafe or bakery aesthetic.

The upstairs is like an art gallery but instead of artwork you get to marvel at the cutest little pastries on display. (My favorite type of artwork!) Lysee is a Korean and French inspired dessert shop with the most creative and delicious goods. The downstairs area is a sit-down space but reservations are recommended (they quoted us a 30-60min wait for a party of 3 in the middle of a Friday). The upstairs area is a grab-and-go where you'll definitely get analysis paralysis because there are SO MANY pastries to choose from.I recommend getting the viral corn ice cream. The sweet corn flavor is excellent and the texture is so crunchy/unique. On this trip I was only able to try two items, but I can't wait to be back to try more
