I celebrated my engagement here a few days ago and we truly had the best experience here. There was about 12 of us and we had our table upstairs, next to the window with a beautiful view and there was couches behind us. Just a beautiful and comfortable setup. The service was amazing as well as the food. I felt like family style was the best decision for such a large group as everyone can just pass food around. And that's exactly what happened. The waiter knew it was a special occasion and kept sending us out goodies and pampering us. I'll forever be grateful for the hospitality. I will most certainly coming back in the near future. I cannot thank this place enough for allowing us to celebrate such a special moment there. Thank you!!!

Lulla was a random Yelp suggestion and a decent restaurant. Located in the lobby of a hotel and was dimly lit for atmosphere but mostly just made the place feel dark. We ordered an eggplant parmesan, the vodka pasta, and a burger. - The eggplant parmesan was nothing to write home about, very standard and tasty. - The pasta's sauce was very flavorful but the pasta itself seemed like it could've been cooked a bit longer it was not quite al dente. - The burger was also pretty standard, the grilled onions were good.

I would've given Lulla a 3.5, however what should've been a 1.5 hour dinner turned into a 3 hour dinner so I have to downgrade it to a 2. The food was ok overall. The focaccia was great; the eggplant parm, potatoes and crispy artichoke were just ok. For mains we did the vodka fettuccine, the lamb ragu and the ricotta lasagna. The vodka and lamb dishes were the standouts. At this point we were 2 hours into our dinner due to slow service, there was an event occurring at the same time, so I don't blame the staff at all, but the building regularly holds these events so they should be staffing accordingly. We then made the mistake of ordering dessert because we were tempted by the fresh baked cookies. The cookies were great, however the 45 minute wait for them was not great. So yes, go at your own risk and don't make plans afterwards.

Great food, ambiance was nice too. We came here for breakfast with my family of 6(2 of which are kids). You must try their breakfast menu! The pancakes melts in your mouth, so delicious! Only giving 3 stars because the 2nd time we came here the waitress lied to us, she gave us "milk" for my children (1 yr old and 3yr old) even though our main waiter already told us that they do not have milk. That bothered me, I wanted to ask for a manager but I am a one tired mama. I respect the honesty of our waiter he was a young and reputable person. I hope he gets a raise her deserves.

Went here following a hair appt in the area and was attracted to going because of the outdoor seating and being with my dog, but was told the hotel is dog friendly overall. They do an apertivo deal which you will not beat. Staff was so friendly and when a downpour came out of nowhere they invited to hang out in the lounge on the 2nd floor to wait it out and offered drink service there. They also do a Sunday supper meal which I want to try. Can't wait to go back!

I visited this establishment in December after a nearby place botched our dinner reservation. This is in the lobby of a hotel which was a little weird when someone stepped out of the elevator and unpacked their suitcase on the floor in the middle of the restaurant while a live band was playing in the dimly lit dining room. They did a good job of making it feel a little nicer than a hotel lobby but its not remotely private and seats are spread around the lobby with both the check in desk and elevators regularly distracting conversations at the table. The handmade pasta, focaccia, and other items were all so good that we easily looked past the less than stellar layout. It was my dining partner's birthday and they brought us the most delicious tiramisu. It was so good we crowned it the best of the three different tiramisus we ate that week! (The tiramisu and pasta are Leaps and bounds better than nearby Eataly!)

Before stopping by Lulla, if I'd known what I know now, I'm not sure I'd ever have given it a chance. I'd been lured to the 1-year-old restaurant by cursory glances at its Yelp page and website, and in my haste, I completely overlooked a big red flag: Lulla is inside a Hilton. That probably sounds really pretentious, but don't get me wrong: I'm a fan of Hilton for business travel (I even have the Hilton Honors app), and I can't remember ever having a bad meal at any of its properties. But I also can't remember anything about any of the meals I've had at its properties -- they've all been simply satisfactory, lacking anything distinctively good or bad to leave a lasting memory. And I could say the same thing about restaurants at Hilton's fellow mid-priced hotel chains. The dining options at those chains have come a long way since the days when it was still considered a big selling point to offer complimentary continental breakfasts, aka toast and honeydew melon and maybe some scrambled eggs or bacon strips that had spent more time under heat lamps than Tan Mom.Those improvements, however, have only occurred after decades of mediocrity, and reputations for dismal dining don't disappear overnight. That's why I still can't imagine going out for dinner at a Hilton or comparable hotels, even though I've gone to great lengths to score restaurant reservations at many boutique and luxury lodges around Manhattan, e.g., Koloman at the Ace Hotel or The Bazaar at the Ritz-Carlton.But as I said, I was blissfully ignorant until I arrived at Lulla. Upon my arrival, when I realized Lulla was inside a Hilton "micro-hotel" called Motto, I did pause and hesitate, but I decided to forge ahead, partly because of Lulla's comfortable vibe -- it's got a spacious bar/lounge that opens up to a big patio, and it feels like an oasis in a busy Manhattan neighborhood that's sort of a no-man's-land, not quite Flatiron or Chelsea or NoMad or anywhere else. (I used to work in this neighborhood and was endlessly fascinated by its high-low juxtaposition of grand, historically significant buildings occupied by places like Old Navy and Marshalls.)Anyway, aside from Lulla's pleasant ambiance, I was also compelled to continue because of the main reason I came in the first place: the "aperitivo box," basically an antipasti bento box that's less adorable than its Japanese counterpart but certainly no less appetizing. From 3pm-7pm, the box is $26, a $12 discount off the usual price. It serves two, and everything inside is so delicious that you'd be fighting for the last bites with your fellow box-enjoyer -- but only if the portions were small, and happily, they're quite generous. The box is customizable to some extent, e.g., they let me swap out the nduja crostini and pork meatballs for extra focaccia and roasted fingerlings. And for people like my wife and me -- those with fairly light appetites and a fondness for variety -- it's a complete and compelling meal. Even the simplest-sounding items in the box, such as giardiniera and olives, were elevated with abundant herbs (both dried and fresh), bold acidity from citrus and vinegar, and a spicy kick that'll impress lovers of heat (such as yours truly) and probably be a bit too bold for others (such as my wife).I also came away surprised by the execution on the aforementioned fingerlings, which were craggy and crisp without being dried out, and the panzanella salad, which had chubby little orbs of mozz and croutons that somehow stayed crisp for a couple of hours after being bathed in a punchy vinaigrette. Similarly, a slice of ciabatta remained fresh and crisp long after it'd been generously smeared with ricotta (which, speaking of spicy kicks, had been sprinkled with vibrantly red Aleppo pepper).Ultimately, I can't quite say that I'm ready to plan a date night at this Hilton restaurant. But I can say I'd definitely return for the aperitivo box, and maybe even for a work gathering, and that thanks to Lulla, the idea of a Hilton restaurant suddenly seems very different to me.

LOVED this place!! First and foremost they have TONS of vegetarian options on their menu which I really appreciated. All the options looked amazing but my friend and I both got the Honeynut Lasagna and it was phenomenal. They also have a daily happy hour from like 4-7pm and we got the $12 spritzes which were also really delicious. The vibes were also amazing. The restaurant is really cute and they also had live music playing which just added to the fun! The server we had was really nice and we had such a nice time.

Decent food, but not worth the price!Ambiance & Service: Modern, trendy spot in the Motto hotel lobby, but bugs affected our experience. Service was friendly and attentive.Food:- Aperitivo Box: Great for happy hour, feeds 3 with a variety of small bites.- Fries: Mid and forgettable--would skip.- Hand Cut Fettuccine: Delicious with perfect toasted breadcrumb texture.- Summer Lasagna: The standout! Fresh veggies and tasty sauce.TL;DR: Trendy spot with friendly service, but the food doesn't justify the price. Lasagne is the highlight.

Nice trendy spot that has a nice vibe on Friday nights. The menu is limited and based on the reviews, I decided to stick with something simple, which was the fries. Can't go wrong there, right? Again, nice spot, a little pricey but just will say I LOVED the drink that I ordered. I can't recall the name of it but it was top tier.
