Stopped by because I wanted to quick slice of some New York pie. The name was Luigi so one of 2 things were true: this is real deal authentic, or a gimmicky name to lure folks in. I am still unsure which it is. The pie was pretty good. I got a bbq chicken slice. Unconventional, I know. The bbq sauce was honestly good, it was sweet with a good tang. The fried chicken atop the pie did not taste fresh. It was dry and rubbery. Not a whole lot going on at this little shop. I think it is pretty cool though. It feels like a place to get a solid NY slice, maybe I am in the wrong for getting bbq chicken (lol). It was slightly crispy. The crust was great with the sweetness of the bbq. I really enjoyed that. All in all, a nice hole in the wall if you're looking for that!

I missed my turn to go to my regular pizzeria to pick up a slice since I'd skipped lunch today. So while I was waiting at a stop light. I looked at my list and lo and behold. Luigi's was right around the corner. I found parking quickly out front. By the looks of things, this place is a staple in the area. My food was done in less than 5 minutes, and it came out bubbling hot. 350th slice and I was on my way.I took a bite, and it was delicious. It's great to know that I have options in the neighborhood. It's definitely a hidden gem that I didn't know that I needed. I'll see you again soon, Luigi's!

Solid pizza, but nothing to go and tell this audience,"HEY EVERYONE, YOU HAVE TO COME HERE!"Because honestly, please do not come out of your way to eat slices from here. Please, I implore you not to. It is not worth it.The slices are not bad, the sauce is nice, but the slice is overly cheesed and that is what ruins it. The crust is also slightly undercooked, needing a little more time in the oven. At least the slices are fairly cheap. The better Luigi's is in Park Slope. This is not the Luigi's you are looking for.

5 stars for Supreme slice4 stars for Mozzarella slice3 stars for Grandma sliceWalking in on a Monday at 11am, they were already getting phone calls and having people order several pizzas for later. There were two guys working the counter, one of them being a fairly tired Luigi as he was constantly shifting gears with answering the phone, talking to in person customers, and delegating tasks to his other counterpart. Its annoying that its cash only, but I cant complain with the prices. The crust is probably the best part of the pizza in my book. The crispy thin bottom is great, but the end crust was a delight rather than a chore. It shows off the craft and technique they use to getting the right amount of hydration, crunchiness, soft interior, and glutinous chew. While I was hoping for some more exciting slice options, the supreme was the most exotic option compared to cheese and pepperoni. This ended up being my favorite slice! Normally I don't order supreme, because the veggies are too watery and not cooked enough. Not here! The texture of the vegetables felt more like a casserole than a fresh salad, which I immensely enjoyed. The mozzarella slice is like an better cheese pizza slice. The grandma slice was my least favorite slice. This was subpar compared to Prince Street Pizza. Id recommend you ignore the grandma slice, unless you're starving and want more bread and cheese per square inch in your body. Id say depending on what you get, this is still a good choice for pizza in the lower Brooklyn area. Its not the most accessible by transit, and there's not much else surrounding it that's truly worth trying out, but it's been longstanding for a reason.

The pizza is usually really good. There have been times in the past where they might over cook the pizza or it has not been up to par. But it's still a pretty good NYC slice and deserves the recognition. Their service is always great, the people there have been working there for years. It's a small to go spot, they do have high tables on the sidewalk but no chairs. I recommend Luigi's...90% chance you will get a good slice...that 10% is the hit or miss.

A small takeout window with a couple of tables and no chairs placed outside (the line nearby was for tables at a corner cafe). They were not ready with pizza when I arrived just past their opening time, so I wouldn't come in a rush. When I did order a margherita slice, mine arrived piping hot and full of flavor. I think it needed a bit more basil as a margherita, but the texture of the crust and the richness of the cheese certainly left an impression. There are plenty of places in this world where you can't get a decent slice of pizza, I hate to inform the New Yorkers, and this satisfied as a quick diversion for me.

If you're looking for amazing pizza in Brooklyn , Luigi's did NOT disappoint. Living in LA have deprived me of my pizza. So I had to stop by Luigi. It's a storefront but they have a tall bar table outside for you to enjoy your pizza. My friend and I ordered cheese and Margherita pizza. The crunch factor. The cheese. Divine. The pizza was super fresh. And the staff were super duper nice. Especially when my card was acting up, they were very nice and even offered to let me get my pizza for free. But third time was the charm

Luigi's is probably my favorite pizza by the slice spot in the area. You order by the counter and then pay when the pizza is heated up. There's no proper seating but there are a couple of tables where you can stand and eat. On a busy day, it might be full so it's not ideal. In terms of the slices themselves, they are always pretty crispy but not burnt, and the quality is definitely there. Are they the best pizza in the city? No. But I think the sauce and crust are usually pretty good and it's always reliable when you need a quick bite!

The most fantastic slice in all of Brooklyn. The shop has beautiful ambience, with true New York sounds highlighting the dining experience. While that very dining experience may be al fresco, the food is nothing short of extraordinary. With attentive and quick service this niche local establishment leaves nothing to be desired. A sincere thank you to whoever Monsieur Luigi is for founding a business of such exquisite quality. 5 golden, shining stars.

One of the best slices of pizza I've had. You can taste the freshness in their ingredients. It's thin and toasty. The restaurant and the people feel very homey.
