Phone did not eat first when I went to Luigi's! I had been waiting to try this pizza after hearing so much about it!Service was quick and the workers were friendly. This location was small, but with plenty of seating in the back. I grabbed a traditional cheese and tried a grandma slice. I was honestly more of a fan of the grandma slice; I enjoyed how it was saucy and had a nice crunch to it! The cheese pizza was good, but a bit drier compared to the grandma slice. Also cash only!

When you think of a Brooklyn slice, this is it. I am transplanted NYer living in California, and when I visit NY area, I always have to try essential pizza joints I never experienced when living in NY. Luigi's was one of them. I'm glad I did! I ordered a regular slice and a corner square. Both really excellent. The crisp and chew of both was extremely satisfying the quality of the cheese and taste of the sauce filled with nostalgia. Very even handed, and not salty or greasy. I very much enjoyed both, I would say the square slice needed a bit more cheese to my liking. The interior has great old school time machines vibes. Love it. If i would make one change, honestly it would have nothing to do with the pizza itself, but from the exterior sidewalk. There is a concrete step up/riser pad right outside the front door. I almost tripped going into the shop and leaving, Lol. Perhaps my fault. but I saw someone else do the same thing. I think it needs a painted border or tape or a 'watch your step' stencil before someone has a bad day.

Staff is rude and not nice. Pizza was cold when we got it. Nothing special about this pizza. I guess it's more of the hype about this place that gives it more traction. Don't recommend. Yes the pizza is crunch and thin but I've had better. 2 pepperoni 2 cheese and 2 small sodas $15.50.

Brooklyn! I love NYC for its food, culture, history, and PIZZA! This park slope staple is where it's at. A blast from the past, this old school small pizza joint combines love of pizza making with simple quality ingredients. Proud of this Italian stronghold, it has certainly lasted and must be for good reason. Pizza is thin, crust is crispy, no flop, delicious pizza sauce. Grated pecorino Romano how you doing with a good drizzle of that olive oil. Pizza makers were friendly, and served fast. The ambiance of the place makes you feel like you stepped into the past the way it used to be. What a great slice.

This has to be one of the best plain slices I had. There's absolutely no flop and it is the quintessential NY slice!!!! It's only $3 and the sauce is just perfect. You just have to try it yourself. I also ordered the fresh slice which has fresh mozzarella slices on top. I think that slice was about $4. It was very good. I love Gio's attitude- no frills and straight to the point. There's usually a line and the decor is very old school. They don't have pizzerias like this anymore and I'm thankful that this spot is around.

Taste is subjective even when it comes to pizza. I didn't understand the hype. The dough was so thin and it's a 1 to 1 ratio of the dough, sauce and cheese. The pizza tasted more like flatbread because it was crunchy. The fresh mozzarella pizza was my favorite especially with the basil oil.

I love this pizza, I just load it up with spices and herbs from their counter and BAM!! Masterpiece. The people rock and there's always a private place to sit available.

It has to be the greatest pizza I have ever put to my mouth, as the second I walked in I felt at home. I talked to the owner he is the most modest & kind man I will 100% come back

I grabbed a regular and Sicilian slice small fountain soda and sat in the back. $7.00 for everything. Seating is limited. The pizza perfect cheese, nice amount of sauce with a great flavor, and the crust had nice crunch. Don't miss out on this for a great bite.
