I came on a weekend for brunch and there was only a bar seat available for a party of 2. However there was a bunch of outdoor seating so I took up the offer. It was heated so I didn't mind. I got the steak sandwich which was very filling. I think they use a tartar sauce to complement the chimichuri steak. It went extremely well together. I wish I had room for the other half of the sandwich. The fries were amazing as well. I upgraded to truffle fries. I'd love to come back to try their french toast croissant with blood orange flavoring. That sounded very interesting.

I came here on a random Monday. My friends and I were seated right away. We got drinks and shared truffle fries. The bathroom is in the back and there are 2 single stalls. It's very cute inside! We got: - Down the rabbit hole: this was a strong drink and you could taste the vodka... which I don't really. Presentation was super cute though!- oness lychee- daily green- truffle fries: these were on the thinner side but were a good snack

Loved this restaurant. Each dish was better than the next. The restaurant is named after the sweetest dog who was at the restaurant during my visit. The cocktail menu is full of surprises and each drink was soooo good. The presentation of the cocktails were very fun and vibrant being served is fun shaped glasses with signature detail added to some. The speakeasy after dinner was such a fun afterparty. I loved the music and the crowd was trendy and well put together. I can't wait to go again.

I came to this restaurant with my parents and family friends. To be honest I didn't know what to expect. At first glance, the menu seemed kind of boring like a typical brunch place without zing, but that could have just been the website design. However, when I heard about the reviews for the restaurant and when I heard that the food was great. I was more excited to give it a try. I ordered the avocado toast with smoked salmon and a poached egg. I also ordered a virgin bloody mary. The food was really good and I was happy to be proven wrong. The portions weren't too much or too little. I was happy with how much of the smoked salmon they put on the toast because it can be a pricy ingredient. I also loved the flavor of my bloody mary. Many people think that a virgin bloody mary is just tomato juice but it's so much more than that and they went above and beyond to make it good.

Good bread and good butter. Steak tartare was delicious. It goes very well with the bread. My favorite dish of the day. Duck was okay. Have definitely had better duck elsewhere, though it wasn't bad at all!French onion soup was very very salty.

Loulou: A Nightcap Spot with a Vibrant AtmosphereAfter dinner, my date and I decided to keep the night going with a visit to Loulou for a nightcap. He'd been there before and, as it turns out, knows the owner and staff, which worked in our favor on such a busy night. We went during Santacon, so as you can imagine, the city was bustling, and Loulou was no exception--it was absolutely packed. At first, we considered leaving because of the crowd, but the head waiter (who recognized my date) came through and found us an exclusive VIP table that's usually meant for a group. It was just the two of us, and honestly, it felt pretty special. We kept it light, ordering drinks and a side of fries. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with people dressed up and celebrating birthdays all around. The vibe here is definitely upbeat and perfect for a night out.I also had the chance to meet the owner, who was incredibly pleasant and welcoming. It's always nice to feel that personal touch when visiting a spot for the first time.Overall, Loulou is definitely a place I'd recommend for its vibrant energy and stylish setting. I'm looking forward to returning and trying their full menu. Whether you're here for drinks, snacks, or the full dining experience, Loulou is a vibe!

Went here for brunch, and had a really nice time! The ambiance of this place was really nice. I liked the decor and the hanging plants. Their cocktail menu is incredible and is paired with some very creative glasses for serving. The french onion soup is a must try! The breads also seemed very soft and fresh. I got an egg white frittata which I thought was alright, but I'd definitely love to come back and try more things on their menu. I also tried the chocolate mousse, which was sweet and airy. The croissant pudding was amazing, with some amazing gelato and caramel sauce.

French food was very good from the soup and everything we ordered. The only thing is the service. Yes they have nice service but slow. The soup which was squash was excellent. I had the burger with truffle fries. And the moules was cooked with wine broth. Some had four bras and escargot. Big escargot! The place was a bit cold because we were seated in the middle of the room.

Cute cozy casual spot feeling.Really enjoyed the Truffle Mushroom flatbread, lots of toppings, bread texture was good with crunchy at bottom.Duck Confit was also really good.Steak Au Poivre u fortunaly was medium not medium rare, fries were good.Cocktails were so so, gimmicky and pricy but tasted like unbalanced waterdown juice. We tried 5 of them and pivot back to classics, but the Manhattan also tasted water down.

You're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, and it turns out the same is true for restaurants - in this case, a logo featuring a dog wearing a monocle. Monocle-wearing pooches are always going to be a weakness for me, but lesson hopefully learned on my part. Additionally, I'd forgotten that my Skipper is a cagey veteran of this neighborhood, and of course told me after the fact that this place was "aesthetically pleasing" but "not good." That pretty much sums up Saturday night's dinner.I came here with my top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality around 5:30pmish on a very nippy night. As alluded to, the interior is very cool; we both liked it a lot. The dark weathered wood gives it almost a bougie cabin feeling with exposed brick all over the place. Nice vibes, and frankly, exactly the kind of place on paper we both tend to pivot toward. Unfortunately, the experience didn't translate from the paper to reality.I'll start with the highlights, which won't take long. We got the small Cheese Board and the Brussels Sprouts without bacon to split. Fans of both, particularly the Cheese Board, which had a light garlic bread, three types of cheese and fig spread. Nothing earth-shattering necessarily, but a nice spin on a pretty classic/ubiquitous app. I ended up getting a second order of the Cheese Board to eat myself, and for the price ($17), easily the most bang for the buck we encountered. I had two cocktails, La Peche and Cabin in the Woods. La Peche featured bourbon, creme de peche, ginger, lemon and mint, but either the combo itself or the way it was portioned out was off, so you didn't taste any bourbon and it just tasted like an overly sweet/tart wine cooler. Cabin in the Woods had a similar issue, though the issue there is that literally the only item you can taste is hazelnut, which would be fine in a coffee shop but not as an alcoholic drink. Cocktails by definition are balancing acts; I don't expect or want a beverage that tastes like gasoline, but you SHOULD be able to identify the spirit(s) in the drink - that's part of the flavor profile. So the takeaway for me was that they didn't grasp basic mixology, and for $22, they should not only grasp it but have it completely mastered. A huge miss, and when every cocktail has a flashy garnish or glass, it also means you're paying over $20 to look at a cocktail rather than drink it. That's a problem. The one silver lining here though was that when my chum mentioned that she wasn't crazy about her initial drink, the waitress immediately offered to get her a new one. Points for that. The service was uneven in a couple of respects. After reviewing the menu, I decided to get the red snapper entrée. Literally 40 minutes after ordering, the waitress sheepishly came back to inform us that the red snapper wasn't available. Pretty annoying, especially because at that point I'd already been eating the apps and didn't want to order a different type of big plate. There's just no excuse not to be aware of what is and isn't on the dinner menu, especially when that menu isn't particularly large. To her credit, she did come back to the table multiple times to apologize for it. Unfortunately, it wasn't the only time during this meal that I ordered something that wasn't available. The second cocktail I ordered was the Honey Nut Old Fashioned, which is literally right at the top of their menu as a December special but wasn't available. So to recap, the restaurant didn't have two of their menu options, one of which was the first item you saw when you pulled up the menu. It's the heart of Chelsea, so you're paying for the location to some extent - I think the bill between us ended up being around $250ish. (Also annoying - the bill had a $4.99 digital fee for using the Sunday app, which I don't think was avoidable; little financial insult to injury). Even with solid food, it's hard to look at this experience as anything close to positive when the drinks were mediocre and their inventory wasn't stocked. You can do a lot better than this.
