Loring Place

I came here with my coworkers recently for lunch during Restaurant Week. For $30, you can pick an appetizer and entrée from their restaurant week menu.For my appetizer, I picked the beet salad (with ginger, orange, toasted cashews and crispy sunchokes). For my entrée, I picked the grilled Arctic char salad, which was served over quinoa and chickpea purée. Both dishes were good. Service was great! Everyone (host, server, etc.) were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back.

Great brunch spot! We made reservations ahead on Resy. We got the tuna crudo and butternut fries. The fries were delicious - highly recommend!! You won't even know they're not real french fries. The tuna crudo was very flavorful but on the saltier side. For our entrees we got the grandma pizza and the grilled chicken paillard. The grilled chicken paillard is light and a great salad - flavorful dressing and very fresh. The pizza was pretty good as well. Note that portions are all the smaller side. All our food was for two people but I don't think it would be enough for anymore. Modern vibe, nice service! If you're looking for a nice brunch New American Place this is it. I would come back to try the dinner menu.

Loring place feature delicious plant-forward cuisine (that's how I would describe it). While it is not vegan nor vegetarian, there are many vegan and vegetarian-friendly options, and the options that do have meat seem to be centered around vegetables. The service was great- waitress was knowledgeable about vegan options, and took care of me to ensure I was able to enjoy a variety of dishes. I really enjoyed their shaved Brussels sprouts salad (no cheese) & roasted cauliflower with fennel. Flavors were great, had a good mix of textures and presentation is pretty; the cauliflower was roasted perfectly. I also enjoyed their house made veggie burger with vegan mayo & avocado (yay vegan mayo!)- this is not a faux meat impossible/ beyond burger, and is actually made of plant ingredients. I don't know what exactly is in it but I believe a combination of grains, legumes and maybe mushrooms? The texture was a bit loose and didn't bind together, so quite messy to eat. This was served in a pita bread. Overall I still enjoyed it. For me, the star of the meal was the when they brought me the Almond Joy dessert which I was told is vegan- coconut sorbet with a chocolate shell, delicious candied orange & nuts. I wish I was not so full at that point because it was sooo good! Not too heavy since it was a sorbet instead of ice cream. The candied orange was a perfect compliment. I would come back for this dessert, and remember to save more room for it next time. Their drink menu is decent in variety (wine, beer, cocktails) and their cocktails are large! I got the Paloma and it was about double the size of a regular cocktail. Would love to see them just label what is Vegan on the menu, and also point out what can be veganized with modifications. Would be very useful while ordering. I think it would be also nice to have some sort of plant-based protein entree. I liked the vibe/ ambience of the restaurant- it has a modern charm. I would say you can wear something dressier, and not be overdressed. Seems like a great all-occasion spot overall- girls night, friend hang out, or date.

The bright and airy atmosphere makes it inviting and a great place to meet with friends or get brunch. While the portions are small even for NYC, the food is delicious. I ordered the cheedar waffle eggs and loved the twist on the dish. A friend of mine ordered the baked eggs while another ordered the grandma style pan pizza and both stated how much they enjoyed their meals. While the service was friendly, they only showed up to take our first order and then refill our drinks whicu made it difficult to order more food or see a dessert menu. I'd advise ordering all food at once here since the waiters might not come by again later.

Nice place to come for brunch! Good mimosas/cocktails. The vibe is sleek, staff is friendly. We loved the pizzas, french toast and coffee cake. Next time I would try the pancakes.

The Loring place served as the perfect dinner spot for guests of all tastes. They had something on the menu for all tastes and you can just tell the quality and source of the food was high. The ambience was great as well and served as the perfect date spot or just an evening of catching up with friends. You can't go wrong with any of their pizzas and the shaved Brussels were delicious. Definitely will be going back to try more menu items next time I'm back in the city.

Another great visit to Loring Place for a family dinner! I want to express my appreciation for this excellent restaurant, perfect for any occasion, whether it's a family gathering or a business meeting.This time, we tried the chicory salad (a winter special), which was an amazing combination of bitter greens and sweet orange flavors. The broccoli salad featured tender grilled broccoli with radishes--an intriguing addition topped with a delightful dressing. The young beets salad was also very good. Additionally, we were treated to complimentary dishes from the chef, including rich hummus, an apple and celery root salad, and incredibly tasty butternut fries ( !) --yum!For our main courses, we ordered a burger and short ribs, both cooked to perfection. It was an excellent experience overall, providing great value for the money spent! I must emphasize again that the portions are very generous. With good food, ample portions, a calming atmosphere, and friendly staff, I give this place is my favourite:)

The restaurant is lovely- they staff was friendly, helpful and offered great suggestions! The good was creative, very tasty and had nice variety . Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would definitely return. The ambiance is very relaxing and comfortable.

A perfect date night spot. A perfect family night spot. A perfect spot for any reason.Tonight, was a date spot, and darn well it was perfect. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and feels like a place you want to visit, again and again. The staff here are friendly, everyone from the host station folks, to the server that was perfectly timed, and knew exactly what we needed before we even said a word. Let's talk about the food... Calzone (hers) and Roasted Cauliflower (mine). The food was perfectly cooked, presentation was clean, and spot on. Oh, I don't drink Alcohol, but they had some amazing beverages that were spot on delicious. The atmosphere was intimate and low key lovely. Ours was a date night, but I noticed that there was a family in the establishment, with two pre-teens, and they were having a great time. I asked the server what they were having, and he mentioned that they have a Kids Menu... WHOA... okay, so I guess if it wasn't a date night, this could have been a family night. So here's the thing, I love the food, and the atmosphere was great, and if you are looking for a flexible spot, this is it.

If you're looking to avoid the tourist crowd and enjoy a classy night out, this fine dining spot is the perfect choice. With ample space for large groups, it's great for special occasions or an elegant evening. The service is top-notch, and the food is so delicious that it's well worth the splurge.I tried the Date Pizza, and it was a delightful surprise--an incredible balance of sweet and savory flavors. The atmosphere is just right, with low music that allows for easy conversation. The desserts were absolutely spot on--every bite was a treat! My friends ordered the salmon, and it was just as impressive, perfectly cooked and full of flavor.It was my friend's birthday, and the staff made it extra special by bringing out the dessert we ordered with a candle. Such a thoughtful touch!
