super solid bar foods. burger is JUICY and fresh. bacon is a bit disappointing since the menu says "thick bacon". the chicken and mushroom nugs are both well seasoned and fried. Szechuan sauce was amazing.service is nice but the bar feels a bit understaffed.

This spot is the "dive-est" of dive bars that I have been to in a long while but I was here for one thing only...the A1 FOOD! Food: we ordered the bacon cheese burger and it was delicious. The pickles snuggled away at the bottom really took it over the top. The steak frites were really good as well, the sauce was a little bit more than I'd personally preferred but still good nonetheless and the Szechuan type steak skewers which were mildly spicy and a bit fatty. We also ordered cocktails which were tasty!"Service" was a vibe and so were the patrons. A really cool couple saw us looking for a table and she called us over at the end of her meal so we can grab their spot. They also gave us some food recs!Def would come back here when I wanted beef and a nice dive bar experience.

Finally got to see what all the hype was about at Lori Jayne! It's nestled inside the eclectic Alphaville, Lori Jayne serves up a selection of bites. We got the steak frites ($20) and the tenders with Lori Jayne sauce. The steak frites were pretty good for the price, particularly the au poivre sauce on top. Meat was cooked perfectly as well.Tenders came out piping hot and were decent, though I wish they were a little crisper. The LJ sauce wasn't my favorite.. it was like a thousand island kind of sauce. Atmosphere was fun - lots of booths and fun lighting inside. It wasn't too crowded when we went a which was definitely a plus in terms of finding seating. Will be back when I want to switch it up in the area!

Superb bartenders, staff, and music. Got the burger and skewers. Left quite hungry. Burger probably 3.5 oz, similar to a slider but on a regular bun. Skewers were ridiculously small, and should be half the price at most. Everything tasty (4 star), but deducting a star for price vs qty.

Love this place! Just moved to Brooklyn two months ago an tried this place for the first time tonight! Had a blast and had amazing bar food - hands down one of the best I've tried at a bar in a while. I wanted to eat more but I'm on a permanent diet lol. I also joined in for karaoke - it was such a fun and chill vibe - everyone was so fun. I'll definitely be coming again!

Best "bar food" in town bar none.Nowhere else can you get a burger this good for $10-11. Can't go wrong with the nugs or any of the sauces.Specials can be pricey but that's because there's a finite amount of it. Half a pastrami sandwich felt expensive until the smoked, peppery meat melted on my tongue. The only thing I think they could improve is the fries, which are inconsistent. I wouldn't even mention it except they do steak frites most weekends. They're also vegetarian friendly (not that I care ya know?)Don't blame the food guys for the bar staff, but I've also always found the bartenders to be friendly and pretty good. But bear in mind this is a restaurant inside a bar that hosts concerts and events. It's gonna get crowded.

Wonderful to see this type of thing popping up in the hood! I'm old enough to remember when there was barely a thing on the Ave, let alone a mouthwatering slab

I've been fortunate enough to visit twice. Both times I've ordered the Steak au poivre (Steak frites). I walked in trusting the cut and temperature of the steak as is, and I was not let down. I am not usually a rare steak guy, but I find that the cut and quality of the steak is just right. The steak is almost buttery in terms of tenderness in between bites of peppercorn sauce and fries. I genuinely love the dish and I love how accesible a good steak frites dish is here at a $20 price point. Let's talk about the wings though cause that dry sichuan rub on twice fried and brined halal wings was CHEFS KISS. I was torn between eating nuggets in curry ketchup (phenomenal) or dipping the wings in every sauce I could or just raw-dogging it. Really great experience and the staff/service was great. They were attentive and kind. If you're into diner style booths with a calmer dive bar vibe (I am) this is your spot. Music plays, people drink, foodies eat, and orders repeat. Shoutout to Chef Sam, thanks for bringing this culinary experience to Bushwick. It's worthwhile and definitely worth frequent visits.

My husband and I came in here literally after the placed opened with no acknowledgment from the bartender. Once she finally acknowledged us (after my husband waved her down) she said we have to put down a credit card when we just wanted to order food. She then proceeded to ignore us again. Not a good look at all; we genuinely wanted to support the business and try the food.
