Living Room Sushi & Steakhouse

Living Room Sushi & Steakhouse is one of my favorite places to eat in Brooklyn!Food: the food my goodness is finger licking good! We had the special 20oz steak with crab legs combo and the lamb chops with mash potatoes. The food was well seasoned, juicy, and prepared to liking. The cocktails are always strong and good with a kick. There's a lot of specialized cocktails that the bartender often creates.Service: the service is very top notch. All the waiters/waitress is very attentive, check ins, and always singing or dancing to the music playing. They are super polite and also provide suggestions that are honest if you ask.Ambiance: wow the place was full decorated for Valentine's Day. The live DJ was playing the best and hottest, and boom the belly dancer comes out and wow everyone! The decorum was the perfect vibe!My overall rating is 4.9 well deserved and strongly recommended!

Came here a couple of times for dinner and really enjoyed myself. I ordered the calamari as my appetizer and it was cooked to perfection. I personally enjoy when calamari is fried well and crispy as opposed to chewy. The stuffed shrimp with roasted potatoes and creamed spinach is my go-to meal here. As far as my drink of choice is concerned, it's the Passion Fruit Margarita. This location is great for late nights since they close relatively later than most restaurants. The staff here were sweet and attentive. It took a little long for the food to come out but it was worth the wait. I can definitely see myself coming back here for another date night or to catch up with a friend.

I stumbled on this place by accident originally me and my friend were going to the place right across the street. They are by the same people with the same name.. it just so happens the other place had a long wait time and referred us to this one. Now I walked past this place to get to the other one and could hear the music from up the street where we parked. But anyways we were greeted and walked to our seats immediately everyone was pretty friendly. And it's really nice on the inside. Which is where I started to get confused because there's tables for you to sit and eat but then there's a DJ playing music extremely loud. I couldn't figure out if I was in a club or a lounge or whatMe and my friend sat down, and we're looking to order a few things the vibe that we was trying to go for was a LOUNGE. We got the menus and it's pretty extensive like pages long. So I am looking at the menu and the waitress keeps coming over asking if we're ready to order. Which made me feel kinda rushed, but I also kind of feel like you know when someone's ready to order. Like their face wouldn't still be plastered in the menu. I appreciate her attentiveness though. I ended up ordering the passion fruit Mojito and it was really good like 10 out of 10 the bartender really did her thing on that one. I also ended up ordering the vegetable spring rolls, which I did not like at all. They were barely stuff with anything but glass noodles oh no. My friend ordered some chicken wings which I did try and we both didn't like those either. It was given fried frozen vibes. All in all beautiful place, customer service is good it's just not for me.

I did a doordash delivery order yesterday and ordered the shrimp tempura roll & the spicy Crunch salmon roll. Both of these were buy 1 get 1 free on doordash so I ordered 2 of each. When I received the order, it felt like the buy 1 get 1 free is a scam they use because it looked like 1 roll each. The food itself was good.

This place was absolutely crazy. There was a DJ rocking music at 4pm on a Sunday. There's an extremely nice lady with such a disciplined parrot that won't leave her shoulders and head, even as she dances with little kids that were celebrating a birthday. I ordered the Montauk crab cakes which was okay. I've tasted better crab cakes. My partner ordered the brunch special which included skirt steak, eggs Benedict, with a mixed spring salad. Overall, he enjoyed his meal but thought it was a bit salty. There were some nice sauces for dipping. Service was quick. Wait staff was friendly. The restaurant does add a service charge of 20% which is your tip. For all the music and entertainment, we didn't mind the 20%, and my partner added an extra tip. Our meal, as stated above with one Sapporo beer, and a coke, with tips and tax came out to $80.00.This was an amazing uplifting restaurant that brought us a lot of smiles and laughter. Not what we expected in the heart of Avenue U on a Sunday afternoon.

This is the newest addition to the original living room restaurant that's right down the block (can literally see them from each other) and it's much better in my opinion! The 1 on Ave U is more of a chill/lounge vibe, this is more "upscale" but still with great vibes, music, and hookah! We made reservations for a group of 20 for a birthday dinner Friday night at 8:30pm. We arrived to the original location (because there was only 1 to our knowledge) and was told that they moved our reservation to their other location because they weren't able to accommodate such a big group. Naturally, we were a bit perplexed because we knew nothing of a 2nd location but hey!, it turned out great and it was literally like a minute walk. Service: we had AMAZING service from Lori F!! She was such a genuinely pleasant person! She was having a great time working and serving us and it showed. We really felt she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience and she handled our huge group as we were 5! She's very knowledgeable and honest about menu items and made some great suggestions. Even when I was unhappy with a drink order (sidecar) and didn't wanna say anything because she already took it back the first time, she called me out on it! Lol "don't lie to me now! If it's not good tell me!" This is the kind of server/service people need, one that doesn't take it personal! Drinks: the main reason this is not a 5 star rating. Some of them were a miss (like the Hennessy sidecar) but I will say not everyone gets this drink right. I can't remember the name of the others right now but. All 3 flavors of margaritas were great!Food: the food was amazing! Only 3 items we did not fully enjoy were the crab cakes, wings, and the spinach (had a super burnt taste even though it physically wasn't). Also, most people ordered mashed potatoes with their entrees but were given wedges because they ran out of mashed potato (boo! Lol). Lori easily replaced the burnt tasting spinach with another side option without a problem. The sushi is so fresh and good and the presentation is top tier! I personally had the seafood risotto and it was soooo good!!! 5/5! The lamb chops were perfection! Seasoned soo well and cooked to perfection! (Not overly or too chewy). Salmon was also great! Didn't taste the steak because I don't eat beef but the birthday boy had the surf and turf and he enjoyed both. We had way too many food items for me to go into detail but check the pics for rating. Ambiance: ambiance in here is beautiful! I love the decor! Good photo ops! They also had a live DJ and he was great! Had a great mix and rotation going all night! We were either dancing in our chairs or up at the tables lol. They also serve hookah ($40) which was really good! Prices: the prices are great because the portion sizes match the cost! I'm sure I missed something, but in a nutshell, this place is definitely worth the visit and better than the original location.

Made reservations for 8, got there early and was accommodated even though they were expecting a full house , 1st star . The vibes were nice , afro beats, dim lighting - so far I like whats going on lol . We got our menus and started to order - unfortunately the young lady never introduced herself so we found ourselves yelling excuse me alot ... we ordered and beging our lil dining experience . Everything was great except for my waitress not speaking or understanding english rather and my steak having a ridiculous amount of cheese on it . I dont have very many pictures (took video completely forgetting Yelp wont let me upload them)Next time I come here I will ask them to hold off on the cheese (on everything )

The staff at this restaurant are so attentive and kind. The bartender/waiter that we had was so kind and helpful. This was my partners and I'd first time at the restaurant so we did not know what to expect. The music in the restaurant was so good we had to Shazam a few songs. My partner and I do not drink so it was nice of the bartender to recommend and make us mock tails. I got the $1 oysters and had the fresh horseradish with tobasco and lemon juice. They were so yummy and fresh. My partner got the creamy garlic chicken with broccolini and mashed potatoes. Everything on his plate is well seasoned and fresh. While my risotto came out 15 minutes after my partner's entree. It was the best risotto I've had yet! So flavorful and creamy. It was definitely worth the wait. We ended the night with a free tiramisu that the restaurant generously gave us. It was homemade and so light yet rich! I will definitely be back!

An overall vibe. Decided to try somwhere new and her sushi and steak sounds up my alley. The sushi was real good fresh and flavorful. The sweet potato roll was a weird choice for me but we loved it.the shrimp tempura was spot on. My steak was not as flavorful as i like but my mash n brocollini made ip for it. The stuffed shrimp was sooo good.Drinks...i would give them a 6 out of 10.Presentation is keyfrom the flaming drinks to the smokey sushi..we were entertained.The prices are above the average prices but for the service and great dining experience I understand why.

Went to enjoy the Mondays special and when I received the bill there was a 20% service charge. The waitress claimed that it doesn't cover the tip and that's normal for patrons that eat in the restaurant. I've never heard or seen any restaurants charging 20% for no reason. Needless to say will not be going back.
