Little Ned is one of my favorite cocktail bars in Manhattan. It is nestled on a quiet street and the entrance is not totally obvious. There is a parking lot across from it, if that helps. The vibe here is quiet, intimate and elegant. I have been here before with reservations and have also been here without. When we showed up on a Friday night without a reservation, and a large group, they were able to accommodate us right away. There are two levels - downstairs has some bar seating, some lounge seating and some booth seating. Upstairs, the setting is more like a library, with a bookcase, some two person tables and one or two larger tables. All servers and hosts have been friendly and accommodating. The servers are happy to recommend drinks and describe them to you. I have not been unhappy with any drink or food dish here. The cheese plate is a favorite - comes with honey on an actual honeycomb. The espresso ice cream sandwich is so so good. The bathrooms are on the lower level and are gender neutral. They have upscale soap and lotion in the bathroom which is a nice touch. Bathrooms are always sparkling clean. I love the decor throughout the bar, and the paintings near the bathroom are no exception. I've taken people here who love it here so much that they wind up coming back and bringing more friends. If you are able to get the larger table in front of the window upstairs, it has a direct view of the Empire State Building. The sound level is good - it is not a loud bar, but still lively and the energy is kinetic. Easily one of the coolest, chillest places to come for a drink when you want to keep the night low key.

Little Ned was the new name for the bar within the Nomad Hotel. Though it now might have been called something different, the dim lighting, dark wood, and library vibes were all still present. The atmosphere was classy, but in a cool, rather than intimidating, way. We met a colleague at the bar and nibbled on their spicy bar nuts and the fruit from their cheese plate, which also included crackers and truffle honey. While snacking, I ordered myself the Saguaro, which was one of the best cocktails I had ever had! It was a blend of Olmeca Altos Reposado Tequila, Ilegal Mezcal, ancho reyes, lime, pineapple, pasilla agave, and tincture that somehow tasted much better than a typical spicy pineapple margarita. It was super well-balanced, sweet, smoky, spicy, and herbaceous. I would love to go back to Little Ned to try more of their food and beverage items, but also would happily rush back just for the Saguaro!

I remember when this was "The Nomad Bar" at "The Nomad". The interior is basically the same as before. The bar and food is still very good, but I will say that just about everything is a tad behind the old establishment.Drinks are great, but not excellent (The Nomad Bar was #1 cocktail bar in the world for a while).Vibe was incredible and the place was always packed on a weeknight (many nights there was a wait or no availability), and now the place isn't filled and the clientele isn't as livelyService used to be unmatched both at the bar and for tables, now not as muchFood was a cut above any other swanky cocktail bar, and now it's on par.Don't get me wrong, this place is still great (hence the 4 stars), but the place hasn't evolved / has potentially taken a step back in terms of overall quality.I'll be back, but there are many other contenders now.

What a cool bar. Went here for a drink after eating dinner and we were presently surprised. Even though the drinks are pricey (but hey, you are in NYC! What's not overpriced?), it was worth sitting and enjoying the ambiance, talking and enjoying a cocktail. Bartenders were great and very helpful explaining the drinks.

Great spot to bring colleagues visiting from out of town. I was looking for a spot near where they were staying and have had Little Ned on my radar for a couple of years now. Perfect excuse to finally give it a try!The drinks were all delicious - we each got a couple of rounds and I chose both the Champagne Martini and Japanese Highball. The champagne martini struck the perfect balance of boozy and light, while the highball had an awesome kick to it. My colleagues all enjoyed their cocktails too, so it seems you really cannot go wrong here.We shared some bites too - the warm pretzel, cheese plate, lobster roll, steak frites. My two favorites were the pretzels and the lobster roll, but all were quite good!Given the price range, I'd definitely recommend for an occasion or trying to impress out of towners.

I randomly found this place with a quick search here and immediately loved it. It's a very classic feel inside, our waiter was so sweet and the drinks were soooo freaken good. I usually find the drinks at places to be fine but this place had amazinggg drinks. Me and the girls definitely agreed it's a spot we'd come back to.

A cozy place to take your friends after a nice meal. The servers are so thoughtful, and I do plan to return. The small eats menu is decent and complements the drink menu well.

Came with a group here on a Saturday night after some dinner and karaoking to wind down. We walked in at around 11pm and asked if they had seating for 8. They made us wait by the door and said that we can stand around at the bar. We were OK with that and then suddenly they came and said they have a spot for us upstairs. Decor: The ambiance is lovely. It is dark and had a great sophisticated vibe. We were seated at the touch by the windows on the 2nd floor and had a great unobstructed view of the Empire State Building.Food: We just ordered one giant fountain for the group to share. It was definitely worth it and I loved how the pitcher had 4 nozzles providing easy access for the entire group no matter where they were sitting. We asked if it was suitable for a group of 8 and the waitress seemed to imply it was more for a group of 6. We were fine with that since we aren't heavy drinkers, but even our group of 8 had trouble finishing it.

Around the corner from The Ned, Little Ned is delivering great cocktails in a terrific atmosphere with excellent (and knowledgeable) service. Unlike other spots at The Ned, Little Ned is open to the public (reservations strongly recommended and essential on weekends).
