Little Maven

What a gem! Such a good find! We met with friends and our table was ready (res made on Resy). Server, Harley, was attentive and super friendly and gave us all the time we needed to catch up and chat and then order drinks. The cherry garcia was a big hit with my hubby. My friend and I had espresso martinis for dessert and they are not to be missed. The secret? Orange. What a scent and what a subtle flavor. Excellent!! The manager is wonderful and friendly and goes to every table to make sure all is well. He checks back and so do the servers. New tableware for each course. Thank you!!!! Water poured constantly (and not annoyingly). The beet salad is bursting with flavor from the red and golden beets and the sweet pop of the pomegranate seeds. The tuna tartare cannolis are fantastic with the sesame and nori crunch. The whipped tahini was delicious and soft and served with bread and cucumber and radishes. The empanadas are a nice addition to the menu and were enjoyed by all of us. We shared the duck orecchiette as a pasta course after apps and before entrees. Great idea from the manager. It was delicious. The pasta is freshly made and the parmigiana on top was perfectly salty as a balance to the duck. Hubby and friend had burgers. Pat LaFrieda meat is the best!! The fries were thin and crunchy and perfect. I had the arctic char that was crispy and salty on the outside and perfectly cooked inside. Leek sauce is a bit too leek-y for me, but was good. My friend had the Black Sea bass and she was in heaven. The green curry sauce was spectacular!!! For dessert we shared vanilla flan (super) and cookies and ice cream. Let's talk about the cookies: amazing chocolate chip cookies sprinkled with salt. Absolute heaven!! The place is decorated very well with a variety of tables, booths, banquettes and the bar. There is a smaller room towards the back decorated in red and black and looks like a great party spot. Thanks Anthony for a great night of food and friends. We will be back! This is a spot to tell your friends and family about. Nothing disappoints.

Great spot for a group dinner. The aesthetic was cool and energetic and the music (mostly r&b) set some immaculate vibes. We tried most of the appetizers and they all slapped. Especially the tuna cannolis, grilled oysters and market salad. Whipped ricotta and caviar tots were good too. The portion sizes vary pretty wildly so make sure to ask. For an entree i got the duck and it was delicious. Its a decent sized portion but for $48 I wanted more. That was probably my main gripe ( and my server wasnt very good). The food was delicious but the execution didnt feel to the level of some of their prices. NYC rent is absurd so Im going to blame that but yea prices across the board felt a little high

Impeccable event venue!We did a full buyout of the space and I could not have been more happy with everything. Anthony and his staff were awesome. The food was excellent and regularly refreshed. The drinks were delicious (especially the Hemingway daiquiri--brilliant execution of one of my most-loved classic cocktails).I've hosted a lot of events this year and Little Maven was far and away my favorite venue (which is saying a lot since we only host in highly rated spots).

Nice place, with very delicious food. What was very nice that chef came to our table and asked how we like food.

As every married man has to sometime, I had to go to the Container Store. Not by choice, but because marriage is about compromise. She got the Container Store, and then we both got to go eat at Little Maven (two blocks away). Personally, I like to choose activities that everyone likes, unlike my wife.And who could possibly not like Little Maven?The front room is pretty loud (but outstanding for large groups), but the more subdued, dare I say sexy back room is phenomenal. Comfortable, classy, and A Tribe Called Quest was playing when I walked in (the music stayed great the whole night). And everything was good. The cocktails (everyone loves a bleu cheese stuffed olive), the service (shout out to Lucas, who is the man), and the food. We loved the whipped tahini, the shrimp scampi (boiling hot but delicious after I burned my mouth), and the empanadas were solid...but if you need oxtail in your life I'd roll with the pasta instead. The steamed black bass was gorgeous and flavorful and along with the sticky rice cake and the little salad, perfectly balanced.Truly, a great choice for a large group dinner, and the back room is perfect for a date as well. Looking forward to coming back for the dishes we didn't get to try this time around.

Little Maven has the feel of a place I'll see in the heart of DC. Very youthful vibe but still with some class. Very active management who have conversations with guests at the bar or those waiting for their party to arrive. Good music playing as well. A bit on the louder side but that's not a complaint. To the food, the salads we got were really really good. I'm not a salad guy but they were great, the bread with hummus was really good. Bread a bit overdone but the dip was amazing. The quality of the fish for the tacos was so good I didn't want to add the rest of the ingredients. Finally the steak frites were great. Fries were really good. I will say that I've noticed a tendency to over cook the steak so medium comes out a bit more like medium well. This feels like a shift in the industry not just here but something to watch out for. Empanadas were forgettable to be honest

Huge fan of Little Maven for all occasions, meals, snacks, drinks. I've been here several times for happy hour and have dined here for dinner and brunch. Every time I am here the service is great and the food and drinks are on point. The staff makes everyone feel welcome and is always looking out for everyone (helping with bags, finding bar seats, accommodating requests, etc.). Little Maven is perfect for a group dinner, girls night out, a fun happy hour, private events, or even dinner with parents. You name it and Little Maven will fit the bill. Overall I would highly recommend Little Maven if you're looking for a welcoming environment to enjoy a fun meal or happy hour.

Decent new spot with great vibes in Flatiron. Here are the highlights:1. Bar seating is the most ideal. 2. Excellent happy hour deal that is a good way to kick off the evening3. Smaller portion sizes4. Cocktails were pretty straight forward. Good quality but nothing so unique. 5. Good and friendly service.

Came here for a girl's night birthday celebration and it was so amazing! The food selection is superb and the dishes have a unique twist to them. I wish I had photos of the gorgeous plating. The drinks are fun and strong, most importantly. Our waitress, Valentina, was excellent with unforgettable energy. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant are sooo cool. I totally recommend!

The food was absolutely delicious! We had mushroom cups, celery root agnolotti, dry aged duck, crab rigatoni special, and arctic char special -- they were all yummy! The decor and vibe were great -- modern, comfortable, elegant, and fun all at once. We were towards the back of the restaurant, and the music level was just right for us to hear it as well as hear each other talk.Anthony and the staff were awesome! Anthony was so personable and fun! We'll definitely be back.
