Extremely cozy and delicious French food. An intimate dining experience with professional and friendly staffThey serve classic French dishes at good portions- not too big or small. This place is a price splurge for sure but in my opinion worth it for the high quality food and ambiance. For example the salad was simple but so well dressed. Those small details make it worth a date night or special occasion. We went for a holidays girls dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our evening.Get the French onion soup!! So delicious Note I wouldn't recommend groups of more than 4-5 here, the it's not a very large room

Hopefully you don't have to wait for your table for long. Very tight space and a bit uncomfortable waiting. Once seated the ambience is cozy, you could tell there were regulars vibing with the staff. Service was great, friendly, and knowledgeable. Food was good across our table (lamb, fish, mushroom pasta, steak frites). My only critique was I feel like the quality could've been a bit better (didn't knock me out of my seat) given the price tag. Specifically the lamb special, was a ragu, they didn't serve the lamb over the pasta. The pasta was virgin from the lamb and when I tried to pair just didn't mix well. I ended up just eating the lamb separately from the pasta and never mixed them together. The fries with the steak frites were a bit soggy. We left with clean plates but the meal wasn't something I will be bragging about.

This is the epitome of an original Greenwich village neighborhood spot. Tiny, cozy, but ever so personal. You may never find a more hospitable team of welcoming and charming restaurant workers When you arrive you get the feeling of entering one's home rather than a place of business The menu consists of true French traditional meals and does not disappoint Nice selections of wines by the glass, paired with delicious crab cakes, and a sumptuous salad complete with toasted bacon and goat cheese Our bouillabaisse was prepared with very fresh seafood selections without a trace of grit or sand. The broth, so savory without being too salty perfect. Very fair prices and a really lovely din from fellow diners. We will certainly revisit!

Their escargot and the bouillabaisse was amazing! I had read they had a good bouillabaisse and I'm glad I went to try it.

Outstanding food and service. We ordered the escargot, crab tagliatelle, and beef bourguignon, which were all excellent. The crab tagliatelle came with a generous portion of lump crab and had the perfect texture. Service was impeccable as the wait staff was highly informative and responsive. It's a small bistro with a very cozy ambiance that makes you forget you're in NYC.

Hits all the marks. Excellent food, warm vibes and friendly, accommodating staff. Great ambience that reminds you of a locals-only place in Paris. Servers are excellent and attentive and front of house staff are super nice. The food is mostly authentically French, but with subtle twists, like a chicken broth base for their onion soup, which made all the difference. Loved the duck confit, coq au riesling and do not skip the creme brulee for dessert. Excellent wine selection too. As in French restaurants, you are never rushed and the meal is well paced. We sat at one of the side-by-side two seaters across from the bar during one visit, but it wound up to be a pleasantly intimate setting with a good vantage point and we were very comfortable. Been twice already, and will definitely return again.

On first glance, this is a nice little French bistro. Dining here, the crab tagliatelle was one of the single best dishes I had in 2023. It defies belief that such an exquisite dish hasn't garnered more attention. The escargot, steak frites, and and bouillabaisse were very good. The cheese plate was uninteresting.

Phenomenal service. An area frequented by locals (skewed elderly) which is always a good sign. Wait staff split one our hangar steak frites onto two plates for us, with more than enough fries for each. Consistently checked in with us and showed genuine interest in our dining experience. Steak was good but wasn't a huge fan of the texture (perhaps I am simply not the biggest fan of hangar steak) -- felt like it was too floppy. The complimentary bread was terrific. Rustic and artisan. Prices are a little steep (though it is French fare, after all) but still would return to try some of their other items.

I absolutely love le gigot. My partner and I come here for many special occasions. Its romantic setting, traditional Provence dishes, and delicious wine are all high quality. If you're looking for a cozy french bistro for a date night or special occasion, this is your place!
