Le Baratin

Very cute place. I happened upon it completely by accident. The people I interacted with immediately were the host, the waitress - Katya, and the bartender - who I believe is Armand. They were really sweet. I enjoy going to places where you are greeted the moment you enter. It was a very welcoming environment. If you are looking for a place that has a European bistro type feel, this is definitely it. It's ideal for solo date nights, actual date nights, and even groups - I saw all three, and granted, it's not a large place. Now when it comes to food, I may need to return to try an actual meal, but what I had was simply the Pommes Frites with Parmesan cheese, and it was delicious. I eyed a meal next to me which was a steak, and that looked absolutely delicious. They also seemed to be a hit for their mussels. The ambience itself as I mentioned, gives a bistro feel. Lots of sports shirts on the ceilings and walls, and you may spot a few trinkets indicative to South of France. The later was what actually drew me. Haha I should mention, the entrance is very tight. People will bump into you nonstop. But there is a bit more room in the interior. Nonetheless, it is certainly a place worth giving a try.

First off the food was exquisite the photos don't do it justice . The truffle was amazing so was the service and the ambiance was so intimate and cool . I've never been to an authentic French restaurant that felt like a true European experience . If you are curious , please go abeg . You really can't go wrong . The seating was comfortable and buzzing but calm I don't know how to explain it but it was an experience darling . My waiter was so nice as was the rest of the staff . This place is truly a gem . There's so much more I can say but I shall leave it to everyone else to make an opinion for themselves . Until next time

Came here for brunch and was surprised the restaurant was practically empty, but figured I'd give it a shot still. The owner was super friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is really cute.I had the burger and fries, which was tasty but didn't really have anything special to it. I think the prices are a bit high for what you get, but maybe I just got the wrong thing.

Warm comfortable, authentically French restaurant serving good French food (surprisingly no cassoulet). Service was excellent and generous in their wine pours, offering great food.Decoration is a little haphazard, football (soccer) shirts related to French players and clubs adorns the walls, while an aging collection of spent champagne bottles collect dust in the restroom. Probably not the place for an intimate date but great for brunch and early dinner.

Definitely coming here for the food. And if the weather is nice, sit outside. There's a satisfaction in having a good brunch and watching cool fashinable west villagers at the same time.I won't sit inside, There's nothing special about the inside vibe. The decoration kinda weird, tennis racket, mickey mouse tshirt?Quite pricey, but hey its west village. I might come back when weather is nice.

This is a hidden gem that's not really all that hidden. We've stepped into this French bistro a few times now that we are in a close walking distance and have never had a complaint about the food or service. We went during a France World Cup March and still the service was top notch. The burgers are big and messy but delicious but the french onion soup bites are a MUST. The place gets to be a fun party scene at certain times of nights and during some sporting events. Highly recommend.

Chill, perfect brunch spot.I came here with a friend on a Saturday noon and there were quite a lot of seats so didn't have to sharpen my elbows to get a spot thankfully.I ordered the classic Le Burger Baratin and it was cooked to perfection. Very juicy and tasty and perfected balanced with the fries and side salad. The service was also fast and good. The ambiance is nice and is decked in a French theme, along with a huge France flag near the back.Definitely can't go wrong with this place if you're craving a burger with a friend.

First time there and we will definitely be back. Great food and wonderful service. Very tolerant of my speaking French.

This restaurant gave me food poisoning. I am so sick all day. Avoid this restaurant at all cost.

Amazing little french bistro in NY. The mussles and fries are fantastic, so were the tartar sampler and wine list. Fun and great ambiance with friendly service back twice in one week!
