I came back to Laser Wolf for my second visit, this time for lunch, and it did not disappoint. The food was just as delicious as I remembered. The Salatim selection was smaller compared to dinner, but there was still a great variety, and everything was fresh and flavorful. I also added dessert this time, and it was so good -- definitely a sweet way to end the meal. The view of Manhattan from the enclosed rooftop is stunning, and despite being outside, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and warm it was. Perfect spot to enjoy your meal without freezing!Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food with an unbeatable view. Can't wait for my next visit!

We went to Laser Wolf for a work dinner and our colleagues told us that they were happy to have gotten a reservation for the 5 of us. Not being from NYC we obviously didn't know but were glad to go. Arriving at the restaurant you will take an elevator up to this Brooklyn rooftop & will immediately see a great view of the Manhattan skyline. Basically all tables will get a good view, I imagine even better when it's not freezing outside as they had everything sealed with see-through plastic. Still, the view was great & they kept everything warm. Receiving the menu, the first thing to understand when looking at the entrée prices (usually around $50) was that every entrée always comes with a appetizer/dip platter and even the dessert included. Once we had understood that we decided to share the cauliflower and the aubergine entrées and waited for the appetizer, which - we had been told already - was most likely going to be the star of the show. Overall, that proved to be the truth. When the platter arrived, it looked amazing, with 10 different dips, salads and appetizers plus pita bread & hummus, it looked great. Trying everything is a must and I was quickly able to identify my favorites (the pickles, the potatoes, the fennel salad & the hummus for sure). This platter comes with free refills on everything which is an amazing option that we did not make use of at all. While we were still digging into the platter, the entrées already arrived, all accompanied by rice. The cauliflower was good, maybe covered with too many toasted pine nuts (they took over most of the flavor) and the aubergine was tender and well seasoned. Overall however, the entrées were good but did not stand a chance against the appetizers. To finish, we received their signature dessert, served in a plastic cup with the tahina shell and spiced sunflower seeds. The icecream was good and I liked the combination with tahina and the sunflower seeds, however it was not to everybody's taste in our group.Overall, this was a very good restaurant experience. Next time, I would even recommend going for the appetizer plate on its own, which is also something that they offer, including free refills on it as well.

I was in the city for the weekend visiting my sister. She really wanted to try Laser Wolf so she made a reservation for Sunday brunch. They are pretty popular so the only time she could get for brunch was 2:45. We arrived and went up the elevator to the restaurant. It was a gloomy day, but if the weather was better, it would have been an amazing view. Our server came over right away with water. He explained the menu and gave us some recommendations. He then got our drink order. It wasn't long before we had some food- fresh, warm pita bread, hummus, and more. The hummus looked small but we ended up not being able to finish it. It was so fresh and tasty. Per our server's recommendations, we got an order of fries. These were heavenly. The fries were thick. They had the perfect crisp on the outside, while being soft on the inside. My sister and I each ordered a protein but we shared everything. We got the steak and the salmon. The steak was juicy. The salmon was cooked perfectly and both were seasoned well. I preferred the salmon but bother were great. We ate as much as we could, but it was a lot of food. We didn't have room for dessert. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. The service was great and the restaurant had a nice chill vibe. While it was pricey, I felt like it was reasonable considering the quality of the food.

Laser Wolf has been my white whale reservation for a while. I was finally able to snag a weekday, 5 pm reservation for myself and some friends who were in town.Let me say first that this is a great spot and time to take out of towners. You get the whole skyline of NYC at sunset which is just dreamy. However, I would not come here during extreme weather. Believe the reviews and notice on their website about the temperature here. It was an extremely cold day when I came, and I ended up putting my jacket on halfway through the meal once temperatures dropped further. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and happy to explain how everything works here. The mezze dishes are unlimited, plus free ice cream, but each person has to order at least one main dish. I came here with two vegetarians and one person who only eats chicken and limited fish which was my second mistake (after coming here on the coldest day of the year so far). My salmon was out of this world, and the chicken (for being just chicken) was really tasty too. But the cauliflower head is tiny for the $55, and not much is really done to it. Same deal with the squash - good, but for $55? Totally get that we're also paying for the mezzes but cmon. Mezzes were good but after trying a bit of each there really wasn't one that I was like oh I really want to go back to that one. Overall, mistakes were made of my own accord that led to this dinner not being the experience it could've been. I will return with people who eat all the meats so that we can share them up, definitely in the spring or summertime.

Visited here for Sunday lunch and expected to be blown away because of the hype but was definitely left desiring more. My husband got the keves kebab and I got the chicken, and both were just so so, I felt like the chicken thighs were cooked in a way that made it kind of rubbery when chewy, and the keves kebab was just ok, cooked well but taste was rather overpowering. The little bites they give you before the meat comes out were decent, and the pita was really delicious, as was the hummus. We also ordered fries, which were good but for $15, I found them super expensive.Service was good, the restaurant itself is beautiful, with a stunning view, but unfortunately the food falls short and I don't think I would go back or recommend this to anyone - there's definitely better kebab options in Brooklyn for wayyyy cheaper, and way better flavoured.

This spot in Philadelphia is maybe my favorite restaurant in Philly, a city with many many similar-cuisine big name restaurants. I was eager to check out the Brooklyn location to see how it stacked up and did so for NYE dinner. Ultimately, the Philadelphia location is miles ahead. To start with: the salatim. This is excellent and was always going to be. There are so many combinations of flavors, some done better than others. The beans, butternut squash (combined with the hummus especially), and red cabbage were some favorites. Love that they are unlimited and come with unlimited pita. Is it the best hummus and/or pita I've ever had? Probably not, but it hit the spot. One thing I'll say is that I wish you had the option of to-go containers for the salatim, which (may be wrong) I think they have in Philadelphia. Rather than the bigger food containers you'd just pour everything in.The best bite of the meal was absolutely the NYE special of latke with fish roe. An unreal texture and flavor combination. Would have eaten this over and over. For mains, we got the beef kebab and spare rib (+10). The former was delicious. Came with a lovely dipping sauce. The former came with the same dipping sauce and I felt like the texture didn't quite work for me and was definitely not worth the additional $10 on an already fairly pricy meal. The dessert of soft serve with the caramel shell atop was, as in Philadelphia, just great. We sat at the counter, which I chose and think is the way to go. The regular tables seem a little close together. The price for the NYE dinner was essentially double the normal price with no additional frills other than it being NYE, which was a bummer. Overall I think what makes the Brooklyn location inferior is the vibe. I love the Philly location because it's so low-key, unassuming, and approachable. This is very different when you try to do it at the top of an apartment building with (albeit lovely) NYC views, dark lights, and more club-like music. I think it ultimately just detracts from the experience I was expecting. Loved the meal and will continue to say I love this restaurant. However, I'll stick to the Philadelphia location.

A more upscale spot in Williamsburg with a pretty view. Would recommend coming when it's warmer than colder since the rooftop is covered in the winter. Was also still a bit chilly maybe since we were sitting near the door. Heard a lot about this spot, but thought it was somewhat overpriced for what it is. Unless you really like Israeli food/the side dishes offered, I probably wouldn't recommend this spot a whole ton. Was slightly disappointed with the brown sugar soft serve since the soft serve texture was much creamier/yogurty than the type I prefer.Service was fast and friendly which was nice.

Israeli food elevated to new heights. The top of the Hoxton with its stellar Manhattan views. We went for a birthday brunch & my reservation didn't go through but waitlist did. Herby hummus, hot pita and some of the best salmon & crispiest skin ever & I'm mostly pescatarian. I wasn't bowled over by the wine or soft serve but the food & views are fire!

Wow! Everything here was excellent. I came back in June for dinner and was seated on the rooftop with amazing city views. We started with the mezze platter which was perfect for sharing. For 6 people, they gave us 2 platters which was plenty. My favorite appetizer was the cauliflower. We got different kebabs and meats to share as well. The service was excellent and we ended with ice cream that came with the meal. It was plenty of food for 6 people. So delicious and had such a great time!

A really tasty middle eastern spot. Has one of the best hummus I've ever tasted, it is so creamy and nutty, and the olive oil and herbs elevate it to the next level. Slathered on the pita, it is a surreal bite. They also have a wide selection of salatim -- complimentary, unlimited side dishes -- diverse array of flavors and quite refreshing. Then comes the meat kababs. We got lamb and beef, and chicken I believe. They are all super juicy and tender, and very well seasoned. It also comes with seasoned rice, the meat is a perfect pairing over rice. However, we were expecting more meat than one kabob for over $50 each (albeit this comes with unlimited salatim, pita, and rice), as we were left still wanting more of that delicious meat.I do wish to say the ambiance of this restaurant is unbeatable. It is on the 9th floor in Brooklyn, overlooking the Manhattan skyline. At night, it is truly a spectacle to have while munching on this delicious food.
