The store is super clean. The food is premium and fresh. You have to speak up at the counter and present yourself to be served or certain people will jump ahead of you to get served first. This happened to me and then a lady said you go ahead - she was courteous. Anyway, the ravioli was phenomenal. I purchased some tomato puree, fresh mozzarella --so fresh, a pork loin, and 2 types of sausage, and chicken cutlets. All fresh and all nice flavors. Even though there are quite a few counter people, numbers would be helpful.

This is where Brooklyn shines. Italian butcher shops, and not just that, Italian markets with premade meals, sandwiches you can order by the armful, and a time capsule dating back to 1972.Okay, the last one is a lie. The rest is true.I can see myself coming here in the cooler months for some great food when I do not feel like cooking.

Let's just start with this place has been in business since 1928 and somehow I only found it last week! Landi's Pork store is an amazing place for cold cuts, deli meats, prepared foods, and all other fine Italian goods! When you walk in you know everything will be delicious by the amount of customers, staff, and quality of items. If you love local this is a must try and try again and again. The middle of the store is filled with quality Italian pre packaged food, drinks, and goods. The old school nostalgia is alive and well inside this store! I have tried 2 sandwiches and 1 prepared lunch for the deli, and let me tell you they were all delicious! Today I had a chicken cutlet, fresh mozarella, roasted peppers, with balsamic on a hero! The chicken was warm and cooked to perfect! Sorry but even if you are not that hungry you will eat the whole hero since it tastes so good! I will definitely be back the next time I am in the area!

A few years ago I was reminiscing with a friend and she said how she always went to Arthur Ave in the BX when she visited from CT and was surprised why I didn't. Don't get me wrong I enjoy Arthur Ave.However, I am a born and raised Brooklynite, local butchers was common growing up. This is a true old school butcher which sadly is not as prevalent in NYC any longer. I was in the area and stopped in and left with fennel sausage and pork chops. Great service and the sausage was amazing

A lot is based upon the "mood" of counter service. The regulars, don't hesitate to jump ahead. The quality of butcher product, top shelf. Great choices, the service can make you crazy. Walked out many times. Have a guy over 6'2" do the shopping. They never play the stupid act with them.

I ordered online for the first time from the Brooklyn store to,be shipped to Pennsylvania I have to be honest I was very very disappointed everything came frozen in vacuum sealed bags when you order green stuffed peppers and they come so flat as if a steamroller ran over it I placed a $80.82 order I was so happy when the order arrived I place my order on December 8th delivered December 12th here is what the food look like I learned my lesson I will never ever order from landis pork store again !!!! so so disappointed!!!!

Place has been around for almost 100 years (not the same location). It's a small supermarket in the middle, surrounded by fresh meat and cheese and sandwich counters. And I mean FRESH! Like what comes to mind when someone talks about 'the old days.' They cut exactly how much you want. Exactly the way you want it. Dozens of fresh salads as well. Gets very crowded on the weekends, and understandably so. Excellent service.
