La Pecora Bianca Midtown

I've dined at this location of La Pecora Bianca a few times. It's popular during the weekday during lunch as there are office buildings nearby. Like several other La Pecora Bianca locations, they have a nice lunch special. It's $30 for two courses. I'm making a note that I've dined for lunch and ordered the same items at several locations and I've found the food to be pretty consistent and the service to be very good. Ordered, 2 course lunch special:The roasted cauliflower appetizer- this is the best appetizer they serve in my opinion. The roasted cauliflower is tender and serve atop an aioli flavored with Calabrian chilis. What makes this dish standout is the addition of pickled raisins and pine nuts. The little crunch and sweetness adds a very nice touch. The cauliflower portion size has varied but overall it's been a nice size. Caesar salad with shrimp- I ordered this salad with the shrimp on the side. They gave me five shrimp, which was a pretty generous portion, although another location gave six shrimp. I recommend requesting that they bring the protein on a separate plate because that way the warm shrimp, chicken or salmon won't wilt the lettuce. The salad had breadcrumbs, cheese and a tasty and creamy dressing. I'd return to La Pecora Bianca for lunch. I enjoyed their offering and the vibe, service and decor lends to a positive dining experience.

Upon arrival asked if they had two seats at the bar- hostess brought us right over .Upon sitting down the bartender informed us that where I was seated was not a seat- it was an active bar and servers would be picking up drinks there and I should not be sitting there. I let him know he should educate his hostess of that rather than me. An older gentleman appeared and said he would soon be leaving and we could slide over into his seats Bartender could care less about service, staff is rude . 41$ for two expresso and two sambuca - 10$ for an espresso? CmonUpon exit the what I believe is manager followed us out asking if the old man was rude to us " he is a regular and pretty gruff to people" I informed her that he was a gentleman and the bartender was actually the gruff one with absolutely no service skills. Most importantly what kind of manager talks down about regulars to strangers? How would an interaction with another guest be of any importance to her as I already exited the building? This place isn't worth going to . Across the street is Norma- they will treat you far better there. That's where my dollars will be going. that bartender should be terminated and fyi as I was there watching him make drinks -- he really can't

The food is good, not great.I get that it's supposed to represent simple Italian food but I really didn't feel like it lived up to the hype. I ordered a rigatoni and asked for protein, they offered a chicken breast piece on the side. The pasta was quite creamy and nice, the chicken, on the other hand, was extremely dry, bland and overcooked which ruined the experience of the pasta sadly. The tiramisu for 2 is like tiramisu for 5. It also felt very dense and heavy. Did not have the light, airy and fresh aspect I usually expect from a tiramisu. Unless you're in a big group that could share, I'd recommend skipping, you won't be missing out. Service was pretty nice, the waiter was sweet and gave some good recommendations on drinks and food. The restaurant itself has a very nice ambiance. Love the wall with Italian cookbooks on shelves.

La Pecora Bianca is one of my new favorite Italian spots in the midtown east area - the ambiance here is on key with a candle-lit atmosphere well designed bar wall. The servers are all very attentive always filling up the water glasses. The restaurant was fairly empty on New Year's day at 7PM, but they sat everyone at the front corner by the windows when they could have spread everyone out - the tables were so close together that I could hear everything the finance bros next to me were saying, so they could have taken out one table to allow for extra space. I ordered the Gramigna ($27 - curly pasta, house-made sausage, broccolini, chili flakes) and it tasted better than I expected! I want to come back and try the other dishes, so I will be back soon!

First, please make sure to be aware of what location you make your reservation for . There are a few within manhattan. I found this restaurant to be really. Decent cocktail and wine menu with classic drinks. No speciality menu from what I saw. I ordered the Branzino and it was ok. Nothing I would order again. Spinach that came with it was also ok. I had a taste of the vodka sauce pasta and that was pretty good. Truffle fries were also good. I would not order or recommend the branzino. Rather the pastas seem to be solid and very tasty. Ambiance was very romantic and lovely.

I went back because I had some issues with another location and Matt (not sure of his title) was kind enough to make a reservation for myself and 3 of my friends. (Late, who no longer works there had promised us a return visit but then I never heard back so I went to social media (DM thru IG) and they responded. Once we got through this beaureaucratic mess, all went well. We went and had the lunch special. Daisy, hostess was kind and humorous which helped. We were all greeted nicely and decided to order various apps from the cauliflower with pickled raisins, toasted pine nuts, calabrian aioli (this was good but very spicy), whipped ricotta with truffle honey and country toast (very good). We also ordered the chicken paillard with castelvetrana olives, toasted almonds and parmesean (very good) and rigatoni with vodka sauce and stracciatella (very good). The black coffee was del ious and then Daisy brought us out a tiramisu with the "sheep" logo. It was yummy and adorable. I do love the vibe of this place. Though our one negative was that my college daughter was sitting in her down coat in the restaurant because it was very cold- we asked them to turn the heat on. Of course they did and once it warmed up, the coat came off. the place is very pretty with a "library" on the side and their bar area is very nice as well. Ty everyone for making our visit very enjoyable and n ie! Check out this place for good food and a nice experience.

Stopped by for the Restaurant week deal - a 2-course lunch for $30! If I have a craving for Italian food, the first place I'd think to visit is La Pecora Bianca. I'll admit, I haven't tried many Italian places in the city and LPB has a few locations across the city, so it's an easily accessible restaurant. I'd say it's a good place to take a group or friends visiting town. This day, I ordered the meatball app and the rigatoni pasta dish. The meatballs were so filling and had great flavor. I was stuffed by the time the rigatoni came out so I decided to take it home since I was full and was running short on time. It wasn't a big deal but service was a little slow, although they were friendly. The rigatoni was delicious as expected. I heard they're known for it. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce complimented it well.The interior design is what people might call "Nancy Meyers inspired". Great space and full of natural light.

La Pecora Bianca is my GO TO spot for take out. Their delivery is always amazing and tastes just as good as dining inside the restaurant. Their food is delicious and their service is super fast and everything is affordable! The whipped ricotta is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. It is mouth watering and the bread that comes with it pairs so well and is so perfectly seasoned. I always get the whipped ricotta no matter what. Their vodka rigatoni and garganelli pastas are so good too. The brussel sprouts look weird but taste amazing. The meatballs and broccolini can be skipped. I have ordered from here multiple times and definitely will continue to do so. I need to try more of their dishes, I love this place so much!

Everything we ordered was really yummy. Brussel sprouts were maybe a tad too sweet for our liking but we still enjoyed it. Pasta was delicious. Our server was very sweet and attentive. We sat outside because I had my dog and she gave her a water bowl and some cheese. She made us feel very welcomed. We only sat outside but there was a lot of seating, our area was clean, and I love the color scheme of the restaurant.

This restaurant was the best one we went to on our New York girls trip. Some restaurants in New York had terrible service and not great food, but not this one. The service was impeccable with the nicest servers and hostess. And don't even get me started on the food... it was to die for! If I lived in New York this would definitely be my go to restaurant. Not a single bad thing on the menu-- we all got different entrees to try out many options and they did not disappoint! This was some of the best pasta i've ever had and a beautiful ambiance.
