I love Italian food and La Nona didn't disappoint. The restaurant is pretty large with tvs at the bar area. Plenty of seats for large parties. Our waiter was vey attentive. Everything we ate was flavorful and filling. The crab cake was crispy on the outside and delicious. No fillers, it was on a bed of frisée salad. The meatballs didn't disappoint either. My short rib gnocchi was pillowy soft and complimented the short rib ragu perfectly. I have no complaints. I left with a stuffed tummy and leftovers. Great for a date night or a large group. You can't go wrong.

I was really excited to try La Nonna after seeing the great Yelp reviews, but unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I ordered through UberEats, and while the fried ravioli (Ravioli Ripieni) was decent, I was disappointed that the sauce wasn't provided on the side. The ravioli got soggy during transport, which is something I'd expect a higher-end restaurant to know better than to do. The taste was off as well, which I think might have been due to the mushrooms. I usually love mushrooms, but both the fried ravioli and the mushroom fettuccine (Fettuccine Verdi Tartufate) had a strange taste that we couldn't get past. The lobster ravioli (Ravioli all' Aragosta) was also a letdown--honestly, my local pizzeria does a better job. After spending over $100, I was really hoping for a more impressive meal. The tiramisu was the only thing that anyone in my group actually finished, and the pear salad was just okay, nothing special.Overall, I was really disappointed and would definitely reconsider ordering from here again. I wish I'd just stuck to my local spot.

The ambiance at this restaurant is exactly what we were hoping for to celebrate our anniversary. La Nonna is inviting, mellow, and romantic. It felt like stepping into Nonna's home, with all the cozy, old-school Italian vibes we adore. However, while the atmosphere was perfect, the hospitality didn't quite match up.The lack of organization and timeliness from the waitstaff was disappointing. We were seated right away but only received the food menu no drink menu. After waiting a while, I managed to get a waiter's attention. He brought us an iPad to view the drink menu, which was at 1%. Fortunately, we knew what we wanted to drink. The complimentary bread and sauce dip should probably be skipped. The bread was cold and dense. The sauce tasted like store bought Classico with an overwhelming amount of gherkin juice, which unfortunately made my stomach feel off.For appetizers, we shared the Frittura Di Calamari and Vongole Gratinate. Both were delicious, especially the calamari. The batter was light, crispy, and well-seasoned, and the remoulade was a tasty addition. The Vongole Gratinate had fresh clams, perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of toasted breadcrumbs though I wish the clams had been a bit larger. For entrees, we opted for Shrimp Parmigiana with Penne and Lasagna. While the lasagna was flavorful, it was a bit underwhelming in portion size. On the other hand, my shrimp parm was outstanding. Gently cooked, lightly battered, and packed with flavor. Definitely a standout dish.To top off our celebration, La Nonna blessed us with a complimentary Happy Anniversary song and gelato, which was a nice touch.Overall, while the food was solid and the ambiance charming. The service could use some improvement. Still, we'll likely return for the cozy atmosphere and the shrimp parmigiana!

Are you ready for the 411? Here we go...I have visited this restaurant before but loved it when I went on my birthday. I had a solo day on my birthday which ended my day at La Nonna! From the time I sat down until I left my server made me feel so special. My go-to dish is the Carbonara but once he learned it was my birthday, he refused to allow me to order it. He made the choices for me AND I WAS IN HEAVEN! The dish was so good and filling. The salad was perfect. I even got a birthday surprise and am thankful for such a great ending to my special day! Make this a pit stop when in Williamsburg!

Very cute atmosphere once you get inside the restaurant with a very nice and attentive wait staff. Quick to grab whatever we needed, but not pressing by any means. Only funny thing that stuck out a little and gave me a slight jump scare when we left was a robotic Santa at the entrance that started dancing. The food at La Nonna was incredible. The bread and spicy red sauce they served it with was just the right amount of savory and spiciness. We ordered two types of buratta cheeses (caprese and normal buratta with vinegar) both great starters. The mussels also came in a lovely, umami sauce cooked to perfection and super fresh. The Fettuccine Verdi Tartufate is also great for mushroom lovers.Star of the show was DEFINITELY the Sacchetti al Peperoncino. One of the most wonderful pastas I've had in a very long time. Would definitely order and recommend this. I'd likely pass on the cesar salad here. All else was awesome outside of this.Great Italian spot! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone craving some great Italian cooking.
