I dined here back on Christmas night 2024 after watching Romeo & Juliet at Circle in the Square theatre, which was great by the way. La Grand Boucherie was packed, with every seat in the large space occupied, as well as their patio which is basically a corridor through the building. We sat at a small two top out of the way from most of the busy restaurant. The Boucherie Old Fashioned was nice and smooth. The complimentary bread was ok. We weren't given butter or bread plates, but eventually flagged down our server. The Caesar salad was very good, with hints of anchovies in the dressing. The loupe de mer was excellent -- a whole fish deboned and covered in roasted potatoes and peppers. My kid got the prime steak frites and loved it. We ended the meal with the sorbet (scoops of lemonade, grapefruit, and raspberry) for him and I had the milk chocolate caramel tart. Based on the location and knowing this is a chain, I knew it would be very touristy. But, the meal and service were very good. Definitely didn't disappoint for our xmas dinner. 4.5 Stars

I rarely visit same restaurant when I go up to NYC. It has to be impeccable for me to come back and this place does that. Anyone who is looking for an exceptional dining experience, please check this place out. Their interior makes you feel like you are in France. Visiting for dinner is great but also go for lunch and sit outside. All those flowers will give you the warmth. They have great selection of wine and cocktails and it's well curated. Their staff is so welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable. Food is just amazing with full of favor. We had roasted chicken, french onion soup, fries , creme brûlée and escargot. I recommend all of them!

This place is gorgeous! It's a large restaurant, with covered outdoor seating in the atrium as well (if it's chilly out, definitely sit inside).I went here for breakfast with a large group of friends, and we really enjoyed our dining experience at La Grande Boucherie. The service was good, the food was enjoyable, and we never felt rushed, which is nice when you're getting together with friends you haven't seen in a while. The breakfast menu is fairly comprehensive. From classic pastries to larger breakfast entrees, there's definitely something for everyone here. I ordered the Norwegian Eggs Benedict, which was eggs benedict with salmon, and came with crispy potatoes. It was great! We also ordered a trio of croissants - classic, almond, and chocolate - for the table. The food is simple, classic, enjoyable. I thought the prices were mostly spot on, although some items seemed to be priced a little high.Coffee drinks were lovely. It took a while to get coffee refills, but the staff were all very nice. Because of the large space and the atmosphere, this is a great spot for larger groups, families, work lunches. And the location is close to Times Square, so it's great if you are sightseeing in the area.

My food was very good, my partner didn't have the same experience, but I'll let her leave her own review. You should know it's pricey. Even for New York. A few things took away from our experience: first we were walking so we ended up 30 min early, they wouldn't seat us and the bar was overly crowded so they told us to come back at our time, however we could see empty clean tables it just felt like they dismissed us a little. When we came back a different seater/host was at the desk and the experience was much more pleasant. Secondly, the gentleman at the table next to us was very unhappy no matter what the staff did to accommodate him, and he for sure hindered our experience by complaining and talking to us about how bad everything was. My pork was well cooked and the sauce was amazing. The French onion soup was filling as well and on a cold day it was worth itEspresso martinis were also great! Well made, and with real espresso

La Grande Boucherie offers a truly immersive French dining experience with its beautifully designed interior that feels straight out of Paris. The European vibes are strong, from the elegant décor to the charming Parisian-style table settings, making the ambiance both cozy and upscale. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. Despite not having a dedicated kids' menu, the staff was very accommodating and kid-friendly, which made the experience even better for our family. They started us off with fresh bread and butter--simple but delicious, setting a great tone for the rest of the meal. We ordered oysters as an appetizer, and they were exceptionally fresh. The lobster bisque was another highlight, with a rich, flavorful broth and generous portions of tender lobster in every bite. The French onion soup was also a standout--easily one of the best I've ever had, with deep, rich flavors and the perfect cheesy topping. For our mains, we had the filet mignon and the bavette Diane steak. Both were cooked to perfection--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We ended the meal on a light note with the raspberry sorbet, which was fresh, bright, and incredibly refreshing.Overall, La Grande Boucherie delivers not just a great meal but an authentic French dining experience, perfect for both adults and kids despite its more refined setting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a taste of Paris in the city.

Like stepping into a Parisian bistro, La Grande Boucherie is magnificent. Fabulous food and service, from brunch to dinner, replicating French menus with a slight American twist. Tables are quite close together but there are so many you'll generally have space unless at peak brunch hours on weekends. Bar is long and attractive and in summer seating outdoors extends the venue even further. Good for intimate groups of six.

La Grande Boucherie is my favorite French restaurant located in the heart of Midtown. The entire ambiance is so beautiful, feels like you've been transported to Paris. This place is always super busy! The staff and service is always amazing. I always recommend this place when I have friends visting from out of town or craving for French food. They always have a great dining experience. Their escargots is the best I've had in the city! I love this place, definitely a must visit!
