A wonderful meal during the holidays at L'Avenue on the ninth floor of Saks. The tables are spread far apart. Go to the windows to see the view of Rockefeller Center's tree and rink!We were two for dinner and saw a variety of dishes to choose from. What we didn't realize were that portions for generous! We had two starters and two mains. Way too much but they were all delicious. The eggplant burata and asparagus, artichoke and Parmesan starters were amazing. Highly recommend either. As mentioned, portions were generous so we really only needed one. The veal was actually chop or steak like. Cooked to perfection. 1 inch think. And the morel cream sauce was such a nice accompaniment. It was a nice leftover to bring back. The sea bass was also amazing. With the Thai Tom Yam sauce. Now, the Saks s'mores dessert was a show. And even though we were full, we made room for it. A nice sweet ending to a wonderful meal! Can't wait to return!

I'd give this place a 3.8, but I'm rounding up to 4 for the beautiful venue, the incredible view during the holidays. My most recent visit was in early January, and I finally got to try the C'more dessert--it was beautifully presented, and the flavors were good, though the portion was a bit on the smaller side. What made the experience even better was our fantastic view of Rockefeller Plaza and the Christmas tree. As for the food, while the dishes are good, they don't necessarily stand out. We started with the avocado and tuna appetizer, which was fresh and well-prepared.For the main courses, I had the spicy Thai beef, but it was a bit too salty for my taste, and I didn't even finish it. My friend had the morel rigatoni, which was tasty. However, the fries were the clear winner--crispy, perfectly cooked, and not greasy at all.Service was nice and friendly. Overall, this spot is more about the atmosphere and views than the food itself. The food is a bit overpriced, so if you're looking for a festive dining experience with a stunning view, this place is a great choice.

We stopped in for a cocktail while shopping and place was empty. Not sure if we wanted to eat here. We beat the rush and sat at the bar. Service was slow despite it not being busy. No explanation of the cocktails in the menu; I took a menu book from one of the couch seats. No cocktail napkin. No garnish in the drink. No snacks. Cocktail was amazing though! It had rye, chartreuse, and banana liqueur. When we left place was hopping.

There was an industry networking event my company attended and it was hosted here. I am very impressed with the interior, which gives off a very sophisticated look. The hor d'oeuvres were delicious, which included slides that were each individually put into its own burger box. I can only imagine what the actual food would taste like if you were to get dinner here. Unfortunately, I was unable to take advantage of the event's open bar as I was sick and was on meds.

This saks has pretty amazing shopping, but it turns out the top floor is also a great place to eat. Neimans restaurant has always been one of my favorites (the popovers alone are 5 stars) so I had high hopes for Saks. While it was a lovely atmosphere and a fun spot for my bday dinner I thought the food was just OK.The bread was good, but not popover good. I would have usually gotten a fish entree, but since it was my bday I decided to indulge and order the spicy lobster pasta. I worried it would be too spicy, but it didn't have much of a kick. The lobster in it was great..so good that my 13 year old ate 75% of it. Her friend mentioned that the pasta tasted very much like spaghetti and meatsauce and I agreed! My daughter ordered the burrata and veggies for her meal, which she thought was fine. My friend seemed to enjoy her miso salmon.Dessert was the best part! They very sweetly wrote happy bday on our cheesecake, which was my personal favorite dessert. And the girls enjoyed their some sort of smores creation. The key lime pie was a little disappointing, but 2 out of 3 great desserts is good! The location was perfect since it was walking distance from our hotel in Central Park and also walking distance to the theater. We made our way from dinner to see &Juliet (5 stars!) full and somewhat satisfied.

The service was impeccable and I loved the vibe. I have been here about 4 times and the last time was disastrous. The food was awful. The spicy lobster pasta was greasy and flavorless. I tried my friends' beef tartare and it was tasteless and needed seasoning or something and the French fries were served cold. The tuna tartare was also lacking any flavor. They know how to make drinks but that's about it. I won't be returning and that's a shame cause I like the place but for the price it is NOT worth it

This place is fantastic but it's a little difficult to find unless you know what you're looking for because it's on the top floor of Saks Fifth Avenue. The staff is friendly and talented. They have an excellent selection of craft cocktails available. The views of the surrounding area are spectacular and I highly recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant.

I had the most wonderful dining experience here. A friend and I were enjoying a quick lunch on our lunch break. I had never been before but was very impressed with the decor ambience. This is a perfect spot for a mid shopping cocktail a catch up with a friend or even a business meal.Although the price tag is a little expensive, the experience is worth the price tag . The food was fresh and excellent, the staff were attentive and provided wonderful recommendations. The restaurant decor is sophisticated and luxurious. The big windows provide views of Rockefeller Plaza. The best part aside from the food being delicious was the fact that our entire meal had been unexpectedly comped! It was a very nice surprise.

L'avenue is the fancy restaurant on the top floor of Saks Fifth Avenue. It is a nice bright space with a big bar. The food is good and the service is polished as you would expect at Saks.
