Been meaning to try this place for the longest time! It's hard to get a dinner reservation without booking weeks in advance, but brunch seems to be pretty light! We got seated at the bar for a reservation for 2 even though I had a dining room reservation, but the space is really beautiful esp with the open kitchen. We got the burrata crostini, mushroom ragu pasta, and a linguine Nero with crab . All of these were delicious. The buratta was so fresh and the figs and vinigarette paired seamlessly. Both pastas had distinct flavor profiles and were cooked at the right texture. Overall, def would recommend giving it a try. It is somewhat pricey for pasta, but nothing unexpected for manhattan. It's hard to be disappointed.

I've tried to come here for a while and was excited when I finally got to come here for brunch recently. We ordered the burrata crostone to start and it was my favorite dish though all the food was good. It was a blend of fig and burrata on toast that was flavorful, filling, and yet light enough that I could enjoy my main course. I ordered the garganelli as my main and enjoyed it due to the abundance of mushrooms but you have to really like mushrooms to like this dish. My husband ordered the ricotta pancakes which were tasty and a bit more on the sweet side for pancakes but he still enjoyed it. For dessert we did the gelati and really liked the espresso stracciatella flavor. There were 3 flavors and we chose 2 though next time I'd ask to get all 3.The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They waitress came by enough to check on us without being overbearing. The vibe was a very relaxed brunch and I cant wait to come back for dinner sometime.

I wanted to absolutely love this place as it had been on my list for years and we finally got a reservation at the bar top. The restaurant itself is beautiful and all of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our experience. The food was good, but nothing I'm dying to come back for. Tuscan kale salad - 5/5. This was hands down my favorite of the night. Everything was SO delicious and flavorful, the ingredients paired perfectly together and made every single bite unique and amazing. Focaccia - 3/5 - it was served cold and I think it would've been a 5/5 if served warm. Not even room temperature, it truly felt cold. The peppers and oil were amazing, but we were completely out after half of the bread and never got offered more. Cacio e Pepe - 4/5 - the texture of the noodles themselves were absolutely incredible. This dish was my boyfriend's favorite of the night. Cacio e Pepe is my alltime favorite dish and this was very good, but a little plain tasting. I much prefer a nuttier Parmesan, and this tasted like it needed a bit more salt or a less mild Parmesan. Hanger steak with potatoes - 3.5/5 - very yummy, but nothing I will remember. We had asked for the steak to be cooked medium, and as the waiter set it down he said "hanger steak, medium rare" so it was a bit too raw for my preference. It was a juicy steak, but the flavors were nothing extraordinary. The potatoes were very good, and truly the star of this dish was the garlic & herby whipped butter spread that paired so well with the potatoes. Olive oil cake - 2.5/5 - it was a fine dessert, but like the bread, it was served cold. Who wants cold cake? It wasn't very moist either. It looks like a decadent, flavorful, moist cake from photos, but just didn't live up to the hype

Had an amazing lunch here last Saturday. My group of 4 was sat immediately (which I appreciate). The service was very quick and attentive despite the place being packed. We started off with the fig and burrata toast and some cocktails. For our main we split three different pastas and the Brussels. I would go into detail about what exactly we ordered, but everything was divine. No matter what you order here, I truly don't think you could go wrong. The price is comparable to other Italian restaurants of similar quality. I would highly recommend a reservation. You will need it (especially on a weekend).

Food is worth it! My wife and I had a great time, and were well taken care of. We each got a pasta to try, I got the Bucatini and my wife got the Cacio y Pepe. Our waiter was awesome! He was patient and gave us great suggestions, while also giving us a solid wine pairing! If you can't secure a reservation I highly suggest hopping on the waitlist right when they open at 5pm. If you go any later then you run the risk of not making it in. But it is all worth it, some of the best pasta we've had.

We made a reservation through our hotel and it was good!It is a dim lit restaurant with two stories - the ambience is very intimate. The tables are a little on top of each other, which we didn't love though. I got the cacio e Pepe and it was good! We also got the sides of carrots and brussels sprouts which were definitely different from others I've had but good. They do have a mocktail list which I liked, and the purple haze was pretty good. They also have a dessert menu with some very unique options- not a lot of ' normal' things you would see on a dessert menu. The service itself wasn't the fastest, but the food came out very quickly

Made a reservation here for lunch time on a weekday- inside is pretty with two floors. Overall, the food was delicious. My favorite dish was the Pici (Cacio e pepe) and I also loved the potatoes and white sauce from the hanger steak dish. However, I didn't love the olive oil cake- I found it to be alittle too sweet and dry and I barely touched the sweetened raisins on the side, as I didn't enjoy the flavor or pairing with the cake. Overall, would come again for dinner time for a date night! Very nice date night ambiance!Pro tip: grab a L'Artusi matchbox from the front on your way out

Still the best Italian in the city! Be prepared to wait since they always seem a little backed up on reservations, but it is so worth it -- I would wait an hour for the chicken alone -- amazing.

One of my favorite restaurants in NYC. 1. Def worth the hype2. Def worth the wait if you don't make reservations in advance.3. Def recommend coming here more than once. This is probably my fourth time visiting L'Artusi. I've come for anniversary and birthday dinners and random evenings when I crave good, no, AMAZING pasta. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Service is always 100% and above. We had the brussel sprouts as starter, then did the Cacio e Pepe and the Tagliatelle and OMG- both were amazing!!!! The drinks (old fashions) were also impressive. I just cant stop recommending this place to people who want some good pasta in the city. Again, I do recommend making reservations in advance but if you happen to be in the area and can wait 30-40 min (on a good day haha!) then do iiiiiit! Let this review be your sign.See you soon L'artusi :)

I came with a friend with a somewhat last minute reservation for a Sunday lunch. The atmosphere is bustling, upscale, and classy without feeling pretentious. We sat at the bar, split an app, and got our own entrees. We got the tuna as an app, while my friend got Garganelli and I got the burger. While I was hesitant to get a burger at an italian restaurant, it seemed to be popular online/on Beli, so it felt like a safe choice. The tuna app was a bit underwhelming especially for the small quantity and price ($25). I felt the tuna itself was missing any natural flavor, or maybe it was because it was completely overpowered by the cream sauce on top which was basically the only flavor I could taste. If I were blindfolded, I would have no idea I was even eating fish. In addition, there were also these citrus fruits on top but for some reason were EXTREMELY sour that I had grimaced when I first put it in my mouth. Needless to say, I did not love that.As for the burger, it was decently juicy and the sauce was good as well. The potatoes were also nice and crispy and tasted great with the sauce. Other than that, it was a pretty normal tasting burger but could probably use more seasoning on the actual patty itself since was a bit bland without the sauce. So although it was okay, for $27 it was definitely not worth it.I also tried a bit of my friend's mushroom ragu, which I thought was not bad but my friend and I both agreed that it also not anything to write home about.Overall, our total with tip/tax came out to about $50 each. I thought the food was quite average so was surprised to see so many people waiting in line for a table at the end of our meal (and it was probably almost 2pm at that point). Maybe we just ordered the wrong items, but don't think this is a restaurant that I understand the hype about or am particularly interested in returning to.
