Ethereal, out of body experience. Went here to celebrate my birthday. It was a bit pricy for $1000 for 2 people but in my opinion, worth every penny. The staff were nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. Food was as delicious as it was gorgeous.

It pains me to leave a bad review like this, but this was such an awful experience I feel compelled. Overall: Overpriced and disappointing. I've lived in NYC for almost 10 years, and it has been a really long time since I left a restaurant feeling so disappointed. In short, the food was a disaster for what it cost. This included: - Tiny portions (we left famished) - Awful combinations - Pumpkin for desert?- Cold bread - Horrendous cocktails (candy canes on a cocktail?) - Uninspired dishes (truffles on pasta--boring) - Bland dishes (mushroom + broth was really mediocre) The only saving graces for this place were the ambiance (pretty) and the service was good.

I celebrated my birthday here with a friend, opting for the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing. I appreciated how accommodating the restaurant was--my friend doesn't eat raw fish, and they graciously substituted a vegetarian option for one of the courses. The tagliolini pasta was my favorite, and we couldn't resist adding the shaved white truffles. The honey ice cream for dessert was delightful, not overly sweet. However, the wine pairing was disappointing--mediocre at best, and in my opinion, it didn't complement the dishes. That said, taste is subjective.Unfortunately, the experience took a turn towards the end. I felt rushed as I was finishing my dessert. I paused for a moment, and the server took my plate without asking if I was done. After we finished dessert and petits fours, we hadn't requested the check, but it was dropped off anyway, even though we had planned to order more drinks. It seemed like we were being hurried out, which dampened the overall experience. Just be aware there's a time limit on dining here. I gave the restaurant a three-star review on Resy, and while the GM reached out to justify the rush, it didn't change my impression.

A nice place to enjoy a quiet dinner with friends and family. Food is exquisite. Service is top notch. Seating is so comfortable. Only problem is I don't feel any surprise. There is no wow here.

Very disappointing visit. The room is still beautiful, the service is great, cocktails are good and an excellent wine, but virtually every dish was a miss. The chef wants to be creative and cutting edge, but totally misses the point. Food must be satisfying, flavorful and comforting as well as being "creative."

Great service. Great wine menu. Beautiful presentations for the most part but the food overall was just ok. I added the foie gras flan appetizer which was definitely my favorite dish of the night. The blue fin tuna course wasn't very flavorful and I could've gone without that tbh. The truffle risotto was good but definitely not worth the supplement. The turbot course was excellent - flaky, moist fish in flavorful sauce. The venison was just ok - could've been more flavorful. The truffle meringue dessert was beautiful but it wasn't very flavorful.

Been hearing about l'abeille for a while before I actually visited. First thing first, service is outstanding and I love all the little details in the restaurant- the handwritten happy birthday card for my friend, the restaurant logo designed napkin holder, and the marble bar counter, green velvet booth and golden lighting in the background (the list goes on).... There are always lots of new restaurants in the NYC, but this place feels nostalgic - the tentative service, the pleasant and quiet ambiance for a good conversation, and not to say good food as well. We went with the longer menu and enjoyed every single dish - love the Asian/Japanese take on the French dishes.

Exquisite fine dining tasting experience in the French tradition. Portions were substantial, service was top class.
