We stopped by Kyuramen in Chinatown for dinner before catching a Beck concert at the Bowery Ballroom, and it was a great choice! While I'm not as big a ramen fan as my partner, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of non-ramen options. The seafood with burnt rice combos were spot on--flavorful and satisfying. One of the highlights was how reasonably priced everything was. For two people, including an appetizer, entrée, dessert, and three alcoholic beverages, the bill with tip was just $134--hard to beat that in the city! The only downside was the service. We had to be a bit assertive to flag someone down for our order, which was a bit frustrating. That said, once our food arrived, everything came out timely and was well-prepared.Overall, Kyuramen is definitely worth a visit, especially if you're looking for a tasty meal at a fair price before a night out!

The weather has been very cold recently, giving me the perfect excuse to grab ramen with a friend. We started with an order of gyoza (not pictured), which came in an order of 6. My friend ordered a chicken broth ramen, while I got the spicy tonkotsu. Both of us loved our dishes!Of course, we needed to end with something sweet.. the ube crepe cake was delicious and perfect to share.

Had this saved on my Google maps forever as a place to visit and decided to go in finally when I happened to be in Chinatown. Glad I did since the food and ambiance were great! Ramen was on point and omurice with curry was great! We didn't get a chance to sit in one of the beehive looking section but we did sit right in front of the cooking area. Service was super quick too! If you're in the area and looking for some great Japanese food then come by this joint!Wish I could post videos of the place!

I had this place on my list for the longest time and I was so happy to be able to come here. The wait time was so short and we were able to get a seat in the cubes that meet the experience so much worth it. The food was amazing the chicken ramen was full of flavored, and the broth was amazing. I also tried the soju great for sharing and for a night out with friends. Staff was super friendly and make sure we had everything we needed. And cannot forget how cute the decor was.

Enjoyed a dinner at Kyuramen. The service was pretty quick and the seating of this location is so cute and a great use of the space! The tonkotsu shoyu was good but I've personally had better ramen with really tasty chashu. The okonomiyaki was fantastic and hit all the right notes. Overall we enjoyed this spot but wouldn't come running to it again next time we are in town.

Amazing spot in the winter. The interior is picture worthy. The food served is picture worthy. The flavors are still on point. Service is pretty fast after you press the button. Right after some yummy ramen you can head next door for icecream.

Sat at the high seats where you can watch them make your ramen (not at a table) since they were pretty packed. We didn't mind because we just wanted to get away from the cold.We each ordered our own bowl of ramen and shared appetizers- fried dumplings and purple sweet potato fries. The presentation of the dumplings was great but don't let that fool you. The dumplings were just meh. The ramen was good. Definitely great on a cold day. Flavor wise... okay. Had better but also had worse. Spice was good level but prefer spicier. They have hot pepper powders you can add to your food but I didn't think they added the appropriate flavors to it. It's a cool option though. Now, let me tell you when I say the sweet potato fries were good... they were so so so good. We don't know what it is because we've had it before but that day, it was like what we imagine crack to be. We ordered them 2 more times in that hour. Came hot and crispy and we devoured it. We like normal fries and sweet potato fries, but these purple sweet potato fries... delicious! I hope we feel the same way when we come back again haha All in all, come for the food. Not so much the service. A bit slow and somewhat dismissive. Interior is modern and cool with the honeycomb seating. Give this place a try... for the purple sweet potato fries! (And a hot bowl of ramen when it's cold outside!)

We visited a wonderful place called Chinatown. But, then ate Japanese Curry.I was about to nickname it Asiantown when my friends informed we are actually in the Lower East Side, no where near Chinatown. I'm so confused. While I'm sure another day we'll taste some of the best Chinese food in America, this could be among the very best from the Japanese. The ambiance is bright and spirited. Very unique design. It's actually quite addicting. The service was great. No waiting and many check-up visits. The appetizers were out quickly and just the right amount of time later came the entrees. Glasses stayed full and everyone happy. It is for all intents and purposes a ramen house. Very few choices without noodles. You would think it was tough for us since our medical stand against ramen, but it wasn't!We filled up on delectables like Takoyaki Octopus Balls, Chili Garlic Edamame and Tako Wasabi (Octopus). Our friends feasted on some special offers-all Ramen and most everything pork. The Japanese Curry is pure fire. Pretty incredible. Another fabulous culinary experience we would love to repeat, if only we could. A clean, respectable eatery and delightful staff behind a memorable night. 10/24

This place is pretty good, always solid ramen. They have a variety of different ramen flavors and add ons. The curry version is my favorite, but having half and half of the white and black garlic is also good. I will say I do not get this place too often because the flavor can be overwhelming. The honey comb appetizer was really mid, probably wouldn't order it again. Same thing with the popcorn chicken. There is a lot to choose from though, so maybe next time I'll order something different. Their drinks are usually solid. The inside and seating is very cute with these honey comb boxes that serve as seating. It was awkward because when people come in this is the first thing they look at, and you have to climb up these stairs to get there. Service was fast.
