Stumbled upon this place while wandering around K-Town. I had only ever been to the well-known spots and wanted to try something new and unplanned. It worked out nicely. The wait for a table was about 5 minutes, and they hand you a menu while you wait. They couldn't have been more pleasant. The place is small, creating an intimate atmosphere. The service is quick but they do not rush you out or make you feel like it is transactional. They always replaced the water quickly, and brought the check when we asked. Overall on ambiance and service, a complete 5 stars! We had the pork belly and ribeye skewers, the tonkotsu ramen, and the bimbimbop. Everything was delicious, and the portions were very generous.

Small & affortable place in Ktown. We came on a weekday for lunch, wait time was minimal 5-10 min. Wait stuff busy but efficient, place was bustling but not noisy. We ordered ramen~ chicken shoyu & pork tonkatsu. Both was okey. Im used to having my tonkatsu spicy so i ask for extra chili oil which they gladly provided. Chicken wings was fresh, crispy & delicious. Not the best ramen or chicken wings i've eaten but i like the laid back, simplicity of this spot, ill mostly likely come back.

Small affordable Japanese restaurant in K-Town with good service and good ramen! We got miso and black garlic ramen and both were super flavorful. I'm a fan of thick broth so the black garlic hits, but it's also pretty heavy. Both were $16 a bowl which was surprising considering the area. The chicken was nicely fried and tender but also pretty greasy. Their portion sizes are fair and we got full so quickly; my friend and I were in a food coma for two hours after.

Tight shotgun restaurant that seems to have no problems with staying full. Surprisingly not as loud as it could be when you're packed in close to each other. Yakitori stations are by the front to entice those looking in to enter and eat. The services was attentive and nice. Takoyaki - started with an order that has 6 doughy balls with a little piece of octopus in it. Drizzled with sauce, kewpie mayo and bonito flakes. This one is good for sharing. Two is about my maxChicken Kara-Age. Crispy hot and yummy!Skewers - you can get some combos, but we elected to pick the ones we wanted. Thigh - nice juicy cuts of chickenRibeye - cooked up tenderGizzards - crunchy bits with some sauceBaby corn - wrapped with a little baconEnoki Mushrooms - wrapped in baconKing Oyster Mushrooms - wrapped with a little baconQuail eggs - wrapped in a little baconAll of them cooked to smokey perfection. There are only a few bites per skewer so it's good to order a ton and share. Or just hog them all when you find a favorite.

Lots of variety when it comes to yakitori- I tried the gizzard yakitori, as well as the yakitori bento box which came with the chef's suggestions. Mine had 2 pork sausages, small corn with pork belly, 2 zucchini and 1 chicken. I also got their gyoza since I was extra hungry- worth it!! My favorite out of the 5 yakitori I tried is probably the chicken and gizzard. The chicken yakitori was so tender and flavorful, it had slices of onion in between the chicken, and the gizzard was crunchy but so meaty. The zucchini and the small corn with pork belly was also very good, and it had a sweeter taste to it, and the sausage yakitori was very smokey- in a good way! I do wish however, that they didn't add so much sauce on top of the bento box, because the rice was a bit too saturated for me. The rice was a bit mushy and it was just too sweet for my preference. The bento box came with pickled vegetables, seaweed salad, miso soup and a small salad along with some togarashi (I think). The gyoza was also quite nice- it had a crunchy bottom and the filling wasn't too meaty. The filling looked to be chives, pork and possibly vermicelli noodles. The waiter was also super nice, he attended to every table with so much care and always a smile, and the chef was equally nice. There were about 40 seats or so (total estimate), and it's well lit. It didn't feel cramped at all, and the front of the restaurant was where they grill and prep the yakitori, so it was nice to see the whole process. Great experience and food!

My go-to for late night bites.Kushi Kushi Yaki is a yakitori joint located on the edge of K-Town. While most K-Town bars are bursting with people trying to get a drink, Kushi Kushi Yaki is surprisingly quiet and accessible, with the bustling sounds of loud patrons replaced with the sounds of quiet chatter and grilling meats. For those unfamiliar, yakitori is a style of Japanese BBQ where small skewers of meats and vegetables are cooked over small smokeless grills. You order by the skewer and each skewer is made on demand, providing each patron with a quick and custom meal tailored to their liking. Kushi Kushi provides an illustration of their entire yakitori menu, which is great for those unsure of what they'll get or too drunk to read and just want to order by picture. They have beef, chicken, seafood, mushrooms, veggies, bacon and pork. You'll find traditional cuts like thighs and ribeye, and some more unusual types of meat such as chicken skin and chicken gizzard. And if you're wondering, chicken skin is beyond crispy and chewy while the gizzard has a more irony taste, similar to liver. The yakitori might be the star of the show, but their sides are no slouch. Also illustrated, you have something for every late night diner from light seaweed salad and edamame, to crispy fried chicken and shrimps, to heavy pork belly, takoyaki, and fries topped with kimchi and beef.Kushi Kushi Yaki has a limited drink selection of sake, soju, beer, and wine. They also have a few selected fruity cocktails, mostly made with soju. If you're looking for hard liquor or harder mixed drinks, you'll have to find them somewhere else. Kushi Kushi Yaki is not the place to get drunk, it's the place to come in drunk and refuel before your next destination.

I came here in a group of 4 around 2 PM on a Friday. When we arrived there was no one in the restaurant and it started filling up a little bit around when we left. We ordered from the Lunch menu which was a great deal. We got the gyoza and chicken karaage which had great flavor and were nice appetizers. For my main, my friend and I split a yakitori bento and tonkatsu ramen. The bento was great, a nice variety of components and the skewers themselves were very tasty. I also really enjoyed the ramen as the flavor was great and the noodles were well cooked. The restaurant itself was a great place to go during lunch and while the server was very friendly, it was a little bit difficult to get someone to help us order our food and get our check even though at the beginning we were the only customers there. All in all, a nice lunch spot for a quick yakitori or apps.
