Ate here our first night in NYC when we were looking for something quick, easy, and delicious and it delivered on all three. The ramen and soup were delicious but the real star were the pan fried buns. They were delicious and we went back another night just for those and some pan fried dumplings. Two months later and I'm writing this review because I wish I could go back and eat them again.Restaurant it's self was small but that is common in any restaurant in Manhattan. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Didn't have to wait forever for our food.

My wife and I came here to eat back in 2019 and since we are back in NYC, we decided to try this place again with our kids. The staff were super friendly and food quality was as good as when we were there in 2019.We ordered our usual pork soup dumpling since my kids love soup dumpling. We ended up ordering another one. My older som wanted to try the duck bun and it was really good. the bun was soft and the duck had a lot of flavor. My wife tried it and liked it a lot. I told her it was duck since she doesn't eat duck but only after she finished it and got her honest opinion about it.The steamed dumpling packed a lot of flavor. I prefer this traditional dumpling over the soup dumplings since you can taste the meat and seasoning more. The soup was ok. I prefer the spicy beef soup with their noodle over ramen but my wife can't handle spiciness. I wish there was a little mire flavor like the spicy noodle. If you like the fishy scallop flavor, I would recommend ordering the scallop and pork soup dumpling. The flavor can be overwhelming if you are not a fan of seafood or scallop taste. My kids were not a fan of it so that meant more for me.I recommend this place if you are around the area and want to get something small to eat for lunch before exploring NYC that doesn't break the bank.

My husband and I loved this place. It's a small restaurant near time square and very easy to overlook. However, it's Michelin recommended and we could see why. We came back twice in a week while visiting NYC because we loved our meals so much. Honestly could have gone very day but we forced ourselves to try other places. The food is incredible. Seriously, so authentic and so good. The flavors are spot on and you can tell it's all homemade. I live in California and have yet to find a dumpling place that matches this quality, though a few have come close. The soup dumplings are 10/10 good and the clear star. However, we seriously enjoyed every single dish that we tried. They've got a large menu with a lot of options to choose from/try, so we had to come back to get other dishes.Inside it's a very cozy atmosphere and clean. Service was quick. We came fairly late in the evening both times, but there was no wait at all. They seem to do pretty good business. 100% I'd come back when visiting NYC in the future, especially if you're staying or visiting near time square.

Yuuuummmm. This food is authentic, fresh, tasty and delicious. Visiting from Los Angeles we were craving Din Tai Fung, and looked forward to this spot. Cute! I would almost suffice it to say that it was BETTER! Even the story behind this place added to the experience! DELICIOUS & MEMORABLE! Did I mention GREAT price point and open late.

This place is a must if you love soup dumplings! We got the pork soup dumplings and they never disappoint. So flavorful and the soup has a great flavor as well. This is our second visit to NY and we have came here both times. My hubby got the roasted pork spicy ramen. It was good and you should know the broth is miso. I had the spicy beef stir fried and ur was spicy! But oh so good!

I ordered food through Doordash for delivery.Loved the reusable bag the food came in. I ordered the shrimp dumplings, roast duck ramen and milk tea. Loved the food, but probably wouldn't order the milk tea again. I also loved that they included a soup spoon for the ramen. Would definitely order again.

I tried a few different dishes here, and overall, it was a great experience. The Panfried Duck Buns were good--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The Scullion Pancakes were a bit on the sweet side, but still enjoyable. The Beef noodle Soup was ok but it hardly had any meat (they only put like 1-2 pieces in there) and the The Chicken Soup Dumplings were solid as well. Definitely left with my cravings satisfied.

This was the best Chinese food restaurant experience I have ever had. I got the pork soup dumplings and the shredded beef and peppers dish. Both were excellent. The shredded beef with peppers was wonderfully spicy but not overpowering. The service was good, quit and courteous. The food came within 10 minutes of ordering, with the pork soup buns coming a few minutes later. It was cool but also somehow strange to have 80s rock and roll playing in the soundtrack while eating the most amazing Chinese dishes. Come expecting excellent food but not a traditional Chinese ambience. It was not a negative, it was just a bit surprising

My friend and I stopped here randomly when she saw the Michelin recommended sticker. We decided to just order some appetizers since we were on our way to a show. We sat at the big table in the back by the bathrooms (the communal table) and order three things: the mushroom buns, scallion pancakes with beef and the duck buns. The mushroom buns were okay. Didn't have much flavor. The duck fried buns had more flavor but not as much filling I would have liked. I thought the scallion pancakes were the best with the seasoned meat inside. Very good. Overall service was a bit slow since we were in a rush but typical Chinese food.
