I absolutely love all dollar dumpling spots in Chinatown and this is one more to add to this list. I went on a Thursday night and it was crowded in this small corner store and for a good reason. We were still able to get one of 10 seats in the main table and enjoyed some dollar fried pork and chive dumplings (think it was 8-10 for $4 which is amazing). Dumplings came out within 2 minutes and they have the classic soy sauce and siracha on the table. Together it was truly wonderful. Love all dollar dumpling stores NYC has to offer. I would say some of the other places I have visited may be a bit higher on the list of best dumpling spots but this one also doesn't miss.I also got the seseme pancake with duck. It was also $4 but I would note that it was some what disappointing. It was filling and did taste relatively solid, but I think there could have been more filling. There are also better places to get similar foods, but at that price I simply can't complain. I love all dollar dumpling spots and this place matches that vibe. It's quite efficient as food comes out within minutes. There might be a bit of a language barrier when ordering food, and to note it is also cash only. The service is very fast pace and rushed but I loved it, so def will be back.

A no frills bite! Came here as part of a Chinatown/LES food crawl and this was much better than expected! We got the 10 pcs fried dumplings (pork and chive) and it came out piping hot! The dough had a nice chew and crispy on the outside. The filling was juicy and tasty. We got some chili oil on the side and it wasn't spicy at all lol. Overall, a pretty solid spot and I'd return to buy their frozen dumplings!

King Dumpling is surprising. The food is solid, and they are filling a much needed void left in this city post Covid. Which is affordable meals, theirs being this in the extreme. You can honestly fill up for 4 bucks (or 5.25 with a soda). Customers can get an abundance of good food for multiple people for under 20 bucks. It's respectable and much needed. Where most restaurants in this city today are trying to maximize profits per sale, King Dumpling (and this is damn near exclusive of Chinese today) understand the value of volume. Much recommended.

This place is under the category of cheap, authentic and no frills dumplings. I will say that as far as quality goes, they aren't necessarily the best in the city but if you come here with just a few bucks and an empty stomach you will leave satisfied. It's a small place, cash only, and the type of business that makes Chinatown so great. The pork was tasty inside, though the skin was a little on the dry side for me. There are some sauces placed on the tables so make sure to snag some for your dumplings to take it to the next level. I think there was an ATM there as well in case you needed to take out cash. It's a small place that you should definitely check out to see which place you think is the best spot in Chinatown. Glad I tried it since it had been on my list for quite some time.

An affordable place to carb load! After lunch we were still feeling a bit peckish and ordered chive and pork fried dumplings. It's a small shop so more of a grab-and-go or quick bite vibe. You can see them making the dumplings fresh and they are so affordable!

Tiny spot with great shrimp dumplings and low prices. Try a sesame pancake sandwich to mix things up; the spicy cabbage turned out to be kimchi. The group ahead of me may have been experts, or maybe just read the sign that I missed, but you can get a side of chili oil for 50 cents.

Solid 3.5 stars. I have such mixed feelings about this place. I remember it being good the first couple of times, but recently I haven't liked it as much. The food has been warm and fresh every time, but I feel like the fried dumpling dough is too think and there isn't enough filling. It's also a bit too greasy, even considering it's pan fried. There's a place around the corner that I prefer more, but these are a great deal and cheaper. I think I might still go to the more expensive place because it tastes better quality to me. Cash only. Few tables inside. It's a quick eat and a level above hole in the wall.

We recently visited King Dumplings in NYC. While the food was quite good--especially the spinach dumplings and peanut noodles--the experience was marred by the poor ambience. The cleanliness was a major issue; there was water leaking on the floor, and the tables were not cleaned after previous customers. Given the state of the dining area, we decided to take our food to go and enjoyed it elsewhere. Despite the cleanliness concerns, the quality of the food was worth it. If you're considering a visit, it might be best to plan for takeout.

From the outside you might say no way, but this hole in the wall makes delicious dumplings and in my opinion the most flavorful pan fried buns (sheng jian bao) in all of New York (as good as I had in Shanghai) - and they sell them for very reasonable prices. Service is quick, cordial and efficient. Seating inside is very limited but if the weather cooperates, there are a few tables literally across the street on the Allen Street mall. Weekends there is often a line but it is worth the wait!
