What a hidden gem! I eat a lot of Greek food in Astoria and this stacked up! The restaurant has a very different vibe than the outside decor and surrounding area (sort of speak easy like). Service was very attentive, and led me right with their Greek soda selection! The spanakopita was my favorite, so perfectly done. The saganaki was also incredibly good, and the calamari was very lightly battered and had a nice airiness. Highly recommend!!

A cozy, unique, yet tasty Greek restaurant tucked away in Chinatown of NYC. Reasonably priced, with a large quantity of food. The food itself was delicious! Good service, food was brought to us quickly as it was ready so things came out hot. Would recommend the meat platter but also mixing and matching their small plates! 10/10 would go back!

Kiki's came highly recommended and a colleague even said it was their favourite restaurant in New York! The experience was cool from arrival as the restaurant has kept the signage from the print shop that used to occupy the space. What we got:- Grilled Octopus- Roasted Lemon Potatoes- Lamb Chops with fries- Saganaki Final Thoughts:The space was very cool it felt intimate and like I was walking through a tavern. We were seated at a high top with other parties next to us so it was a bit tight. The grilled octopus was incredibly tender, and it felt like you were eating chicken! I usually have saganaki flambeed and served with pita but Kiki's version is wrapped in phyllo and sweeter due to the honey on top but still very good. The potatoes could have had more lemon flavour to them but I liked the lamb which was tender and not gamey at all. If you can get a table or don't mind a wait, I think Kiki's is worth checking out!

Kiki's is famously known for its long lines and no-reservation policy. I was incredibly fortunate to stop by on a Friday around 5 PM, when there was no wait and plenty of tables available. By the time I left around 7 PM, the restaurant was bustling, and lines had already started to form outside. We were warned that we might have ordered too much, but we were confident we could handle it--and we did! Here's what we tried:* Saganaki: A must-order! It was absolutely incredible--crispy, flaky, and drizzled with honey. I'm completely obsessed; it's a standout dish. * Grilled Octopus: It was just okay. I was expecting a charred, crispy texture, but it didn't quite deliver. * Mixed Grill: This platter included two lamb chops, four beef patties, and sausage served over fries. The lamb chops were phenomenal--the best I've ever had! Cooked to a perfect medium-rare, tender, and not gamey at all. The beef patties were deliciously charred and juicy, but I wasn't a fan of the sausage or the fries. The side of white sauce was confusing--it seemed like mayo but didn't add much to the dish. * Grilled Branzino: It was just okay. Served with lemon potato wedges and a butter sauce on the side, it didn't stand out much.Despite some hits and misses, I'd definitely return to explore more of the menu.

Came here for an early dinner. The crowd picks up around 6:30. You wouldn't find a seat at the bar. There are long bench for large groups. As we were seated and looking at the menu, I overheard the server messed up the drink order for the table next to ours. I joked with my friend, I hope it doesn't happen to us. It did happened to us. I ordered shrimp pasta but got sautéed shrimp instead. They brought the shrimp back and told me it's going to a wait for the shrimp pasta. The restaurant was only at 40% occupancy and they messed up the orders. The entree Mama' chicken came before the zucchini chips. We did enjoy the appetizer. The wait for the shrimp pasta was at least 15 minutes. Which we finished the appetizer. I asked my friend to start on her entree. The Mama' chicken was getting cold. Nobody came over to check on us or refill water. The server did not removed the wrong order from the bill. It took another 10 minutes to get the correct bill since the restaurant was starting to fill up.

AMBIANCEPassed by this restaurant many times. All the times, there are always a line! Always thought they have limited seats, but looks can be deceiving! they have mamy many seating inside. SERVICEAll the waiter and waitress are very friendly and nice. But they made mistakes even before we order. Both waiter and waitress keep mixing up the orders or they served the wrong drinks or forgot if the dish was serve or not to other tables. For our table, they gave us the wrong order and forgot to omit it from the receipt. The waiter/ waitress apologized and make all the corrections. FOODoverall the food tastes not bad. The appetizers were better than the entrée. The roasted chicken was soft and the meat felt off the bones. The shrimp was perfectly cooked.

Been here twice now and it's pretty solid when there isn't a line. We came on a Saturday around lunch time and we didn't have to wait. We opted for outdoor seating and it was warm out which was nice. We always order their saganaki and their mixed platter when we're hungry. We opted for their potatoes instead of fries which is a good call because their meat can get a lil oily. The saganaki is amazing each time and just a great mix of flavors. The service was alright a little on the slower end and it was a bit hard to recognize who's a server.

Hidden Greek resto in Chinatown? That's what drew me in to try Kiki's after seeing this pop up on my reels multiple times. Was surprised to see how massive the resto was with their multiple rooms. Super cute vibe. Dark vibey. Communal tables. Kinda loud and hard to hear cause of the cramped tables and communal seating, but hey; it's a vibe. Got a bunch of stuff to share:1. Melitzanosalata: probably the creamiest one I've had to date. Not the best, but it was alright. Tangy. 2. Grilled octopus: always a good one. Basic but good. 3. Greek salad: pretty good, but it usually is. 4. Lamb chops: lamb was cooked well. Greek potatoes were good. Overall, the food is pretty standard Greek fare. Nothing different. Food was pretty good (though nothing extra ordinary). Vibe is super cute though. It's not really as "hidden" as I thought it would be but still cute. Hmm would come back for the vibe and the decent food.

I can't say enough good things about Kiki's. I came here for a friends birthday and the place was PACKED but luckily, we had our own little "room", which was an alcove, prepared and reserved for our party of about 10.The food here is phenomenal. We ordered a ton of different dishes and shared them including the taramosalata (a favorite of mine), fava (another favorite and perfect for vegan friends), spanakopita (a classic), zucchini chips (do NOT pass these up..so good), and branzino. Someone in our party was of Greek heritage and raved about how authentic everything was, including offering traditional drinks there. As I can be a bit lactose intolerant at times, I held back on the drink and instead opted for pitchers of the sangria to share which was delicious. One of my favorite things about this spot was how easy it was to find plant-based dishes to try and share with the table as we had vegan members in our party. Everything was done perfectly and the staff even allowed us to bring in our own birthday cake from outside which was nice.I recommend Kiki's to anyone seeking an authentic Greek experience in NYC!

Except for the remnants of an old printing shop sign, Kiki's bears no exterior identification. Walk inside, and you will feel like you have stepped out of NYC and into a time-worn Greek taverna. Several intimate dining rooms, with stone walls, wide-plank floors and simple wood tables create a cozy ambience. The menu features classic Mediterranean fare, with such traditional favorites as tzatziki, moussaka and grilled whole fish among the offerings. Everything we had was fresh and delicious -- and prices are refreshingly reasonable too!
