Katsu Sushi

Nestled in the small and snug 38th Street Food Hall in frenetic midtown, Katsu Sushi is a standout for a quick lunchtime sushi meal and/or bento box. Most are here for convenient take-out to return to their offices, there are a few tables inside if you choose to stay in the cramped space, also, Uber or Door Dash are options for deliveries. The sushi is quite fresh, of standard quality, made to order and the process is quick and easy. Thank you! Arigato, Katsu Sushi!

Imagine your local food court--that's where Katsu Sushi is nestled under, and it's in the company of other Asian foods, like Kingfu Tea, soup dumplings, and noodles. It's relatively new when I went, which is July 2024, so some things were still being constructed, but I valued that it had seating, working AC, and a clean bathroom.Katsu has fresh sushi for a decent price, as other reviews have mentioned. The chef was patient and kind with us, looking happy to be there. I would come back for its accessibility and proximity to other food options! It's easy to come with a small group of friends.

Ordered from here for delivery. Delivery was fast, packaging was effective, and sushi was more than fine. I do like the variety of the boxes you can get, and I have no complaints. A lot more rice than I am used to, but the rice was not mushy which is great. I haven't been there in person so I cannot speak to the ambience, but I would definitely stop by if I'm hungry and in the area.

This stall is in the 38 food hall. Right across from cozy rice. They have a menu that is straightforward. I decided to get the lunch menu from it and ordered the 2 rolls, which came out to $17.37 with tax. I got the dynamite roll and snow crab rolls. There is nothing exceptional about it, but there is nothing bad about it either. The rolls were hearty, and they didn't skimp out on the seafood inside of it. Wish it came with soup or salad though.

Wow!! Stumbled upon this gem ordering rice rolls across the way. The sushi was incredibly fresh and what a deal! $12 for the "Take" combo (12 pcs of maki sushi). Will be back!

Service was fast and friendly. I appreciate the freshness and quality if the salmon. Great place to pick up lunch.

Such a hidden gem. Nestled in an obscure food hall in Midtown Manhattan lies a small sushi stand with some of the best fish around. I got a 10-piece order of sashimi for $20 at the lunch special (including rice), which was a pretty great deal. They also have pretty cheap beverages and give you your food in a nice, cafeteria-style compact tray. The sauce to dip the fish in is also amazing. We were served within 10 minutes of ordering. You have to go here!

Food Hall is so cute and practical! I came in to try the sushi place, Katsu. So good! The chef was super friendly and brought my food to me. They have this delicious and cute roll called: SWEETHEART ROLL yummmyyyy - def try them out! You just have to walk down the hall to see them. Char

I almost missed this place it's really hidden but omg the food was delicious! It's in a shop that has two other dining options as well. The wait wasn't too bad, there's extra seating in the back and up the stairs. I would definitely recommend!
