Junoon (I opted for veg) tasting menu strikes a solid balance between subtle and bold Indian flavors. Their mushroom kichdi is basically the best mushroom barley soup I've ever had--rich, comforting. The panipuri? Crisp shells bursting with bright, tangy goodness that made me want to keep ordering more. I wish I could honestly.Service is spot on, like straight up mind reading. I was secretly craving garlic naan and rice, and as if they could read my mind, they brought it out right before the final savory course. Total wish granted moment!Dessert sealed the deal with a spicy chocolate mousse... smooth sweetness with just the right hint of heat. I did feel that one or two dishes could've used more acid, but overall, it was a great meal. Junoon absolutely earns its spot among New York's top Indian restaurants, and I'm already planning a return visit.

absolutely loved my experience here! got a resy during restaurant week for lunch, which is 3 courses for $45 - great deal! however you can pretty much do this on a normal day as their lunch special is 3 courses for $49 for the first course, i got the ghost chili murgh tikka which definitely was a bit spicy but not too spicy - highly recommend! for the second course, i got the shrimp moilee which was absolutely my top favorite and would come back for this one. my friend got the nadru ghost chili korma and it was spicy but also so good! the entree came with rice and naan and the portions were decent. for the final course, we both got the kulfi pops which were a variety of 4 kulfis, all of which were delicious. overall, we left full but not too full - portions seemed just right! the service was very formal and everyone was very nice! the restaurant itself is quite big and has a decent amount of seating, as well as a bar area.

Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the city hands down. I had some amazing food here that was flavorful, innovative, and so tasty! Came here for restaurant week and ordered the eggplant chaat and paneer to start. We had to wait a little bit for our food so the manager gave us complimentary passion fruit jaljeera shots which were so delicious! The eggplant chaat was my favorite. It was crispy eggplant pakoras done as a form of chaat, and done really well. We then went for the main dishes which was the ghost chili lotus root dumplings and the paneer tikka with naan, and rice. The ghost chili wasn't too spicy and it was the perfect dish. I would go back just for that curry because it was so addicting! The desserts we got were the rice pudding and the kulfi pops. I was so impressed with the Ube malai kulfi and the pudding, both were my favorite. We paid $45 each for a full three courses and left full, which in NYC is a crazy good deal for a high end restaurant. Junoon is Michelin star for a reason and I can't wait to have another meal here!

We had the prix fixe three-course lunch at Junoon, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Every dish was flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. The portions were just right--satisfying without being overwhelming. The meal felt like a great value for the quality and experience. The ambiance and service added to the overall enjoyment, making it a spot I'd definitely recommend for a refined yet approachable Indian dining experience.

Incredible!! I did not want the meal to end, I want that meal for the rest of my life! This restaurant is beyond deserving of their Michelin star! I am not sure why their Yelp rating is so low? That is shocking! I went for a 2pm late lunch. We ordered the eggplant Chaat, paneer Tikka, Achaari Paneer, and the shrimp Moilee! I think the shrimp Moilee was my favorite, but I loved absolutely everything! Service was incredible! Everyone was so helpful and efficient! I never saw the bottom of my water glass! Ambiance is great, it felt so traditionally modern and bright and cozy all at the same time! I will absolutely be back! (Phone did not eat first, but the presentation was gorgeous)

A great restaurant experience but definitely overpriced!Food: I came here for restaurant week, which is a decent deal given how expensive the prices are in the a la carte menu. The appetizers were great - I really liked the tawa paneer - very flavorful and well seasoned! The eggplant chat was amazing - super refreshing! For my main I got the achari paneer which was good but not special ... For desserts we got the kulfi selection which was a really fun way to try many different kulfis Price: I think it's just really expensive for Indian food! The food didn't really justify the price in my opinionServices: great service - I do think this part was an experienceAmbience: really great venue with a ton of seating! Definitely an upscale ambience

We went in for dinner with a bunch of friends and realized this restaurant has now moved to a smaller location next door to the original one. We got the 3 course prestige selection for everyone in our group. Our selection included ghost chili chicken. walnut paneer, Bangla fried chicken, mutton curry, chicken curry, duck curry, dal makhani, mango lassi, the rhubarb, the pan mezcal, rice, garlic naan, jalapeno naan and the pride of India, kulfi pops and ma's rice pudding for desserts. The service was outstanding, the food though was grossly underwhelming. The chicken curry & the desserts were the saving grace of the night.

After been unable to get a reservation for Bungalow, we decided to take a chance with Junoon. Junoon has a cozy vibe and has an amazing interiors. The 3 course menu standard consists of an appetizer, a main and a desert. While my wife ordered the Eggplant chat, the Murgh Tandoor and the Kulfis for desert, i opted for the Tawa Paneer, Dal Makhani and the Strawberry Shrikhand. We understand these are subjective, but there were a couple of things that didn't live up to our expectations:- Although cooked, the Paneer in the Tawa Paneer was bland. Dal Makhani lacked salt as well. - Murgh Tandoor seemed like it was cooked in an unconventional manner - which missed the mark on us. What we loved was the eggplant chat and the deserts! The deserts especially were innovative and had great variety.

Phenomenal! We came here for summer restaurant week and loved everything we had to eat. The fried eggplant appetizer and pan seared paneer were definitely stand outs though. It was also so cute that they gave us coat check numbers to pick up our leftovers instead of having them sit on the table during the different courses. All around and elevated experience
