We had a wonderful and welcoming experience celebrating a birthday at the restaurant. The staff was very attentive to our group's needs, which included at least 13 people. Some of us had food restrictions, and they were very accommodating to those needs. The restaurant was nicely decorated, and we were glad we made a reservation, as we saw a few people waiting to be seated. After we placed our orders, everything was served promptly. The staff even helped grill our food, which was fantastic since it allowed everyone to communicate and enjoy the moment together. After dinner, they informed us about their karaoke options, and we were all excited to give it a try. They had many rooms available, and the system allowed us to connect our phones for the music, making it very easy to use.

food is decent as always. I used to not mind the staff cooking for the table when I used to come here with bigger groups. The latest time, it was just the two of us and the staff just kept cooking despite we didn't finish the food yet. It felt very rushed and not very enjoyable. Interior was clean. There was no wait time as we went very early about 5:30pm on a weekday

Jongeo wasn't what we expected. We were seated next to a messy table that had a lot of clutter, which wasn't a great first impression. The food was just okay. The Prime Saeng Kalbi ($55.99) was disappointing, and the Marinated Tenders were good but definitely not worth the price ($55.99). No one checked on how our food was, and it felt like they were rushing while cooking the meat. I originally thought we'd be able to grill it ourselves, but there's always someone at your table doing it for you.On the positive side, the servers were very friendly and worked hard.Overall, it wasn't the experience we were hoping for.

I came here one evening with a friend and had a great time at this KBBQ spot. The inside of the restaurant is spacious, with lots of wood seating and pretty good ventilation (so you don't leave REEKING of KBBQ). Staff here was attentive and kind. When I went, I got the beef platter with their spicy seafood soup and a seafood pancake. The beef platter portion was huge, the meat quality was good, and the banchan was pretty solid. I also loved the corn cheese that came on the side and the veggies were fresh and great to pair with the meat. Seafood pancake was also a big portion and full of seafood! Not a bad spot for KBBQ!

I love this restaurant ! We come here often when we're in K-Town. From the outside, you would never know this restaurant exists and you could easily miss it. But once you reach the second floor via the elevator, you're magically transported to a different era of old town Korea, and with the wonderful smells of delicious food this is the perfect place to come for Korean barbecue.I love to order the pork belly ($38) which is perfectly grilled at your table by your server. So delicious. I also enjoy the japchae ($19) With seafood(+$3).Service is friendly and attentive. And feel free to ask for more Panjon if you need it.This is always a fun experience when coming to Koreatown, NYC. And I surely will be back again.Follow me on Yelp, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube as a travel, the world for more delicious food experiences.Insta: @noodlesoupr

Came back here for a late lunch yesterday after the SJU game. Food was delicious as usual but I missed the steamed egg. The waitress told us because of bird flu they were unable to get eggs. Unfortunately, when we sat down, the waitress accidentally spilled an entire glass of water on me. All over my jeans. She was appropriately apologetic, gave me some napkins and tea but that was about it. I'm surprised the manager did not come over to offer anything for our troubles. Usually, a restaurant would take a dish or something off the bill or offer something else. That was disappointing as I pretty much sat there soaking wet. Overall our meal was good as usual understandably. it was not the experience we were looking forward to.

Vibes are immaculate. Food is delicious. I came with a large group of coworkers and we ordered an insane amount of meat. The ribeye, pork belly, and brisket were so good. The brisket especially was my favorite because it was the perfect thinness and texture. They were super accommodating for my gluten allergy and they gave me a sesame oil and salt on the side instead of soy sauce. I was very happy and will definitely be back.

I have been to every Michelin Star KBBQ restaurant in NYC, and honestly prefer Jongro over all of them. They are a chain from Korea; this is their first USA location. Occupying the 2nd floor of a Midtown office building, the ambience is a distinct nod to old Seoul. We walked in without a reservation at 9pm on a week night, and were seated immediately. The staff were friendly, and had bottles of Korean wheat beer on the table in what seemed like seconds. K-pop played loudly through the speakers, punctuated by sizzling tabletop grills. My husband opted for their Beef Platter, which serves 2-3 people and comes with your choice of soondubu or soybean paste soup, plus unlimited banchan. I do not eat meat, so he was on his own with that and managed to finish it. He remarked that the meat was high quality for the price. Every side dish, from the kimchi to the fresh green salad to the corn cheese, was delicious. The Kimchi pancake was crisp and savory, but needed more kimchi in my opinion. I enjoyed the brightly spicy soondubu jjigae. As a pescatarian, I usually stick to banchan at Korean BBQ, but could not resist trying their Impossible Meat Bibimbap. The "meat" was marinated and bursting with flavor, and served in a sizzling hot stone pot with rice and various pickles, the blend of textures and flavors was nothing short of exceptional.

Hard miss.First time leaving Korean bbq still feeling hungry. Expected way more meat - cheap portion for the cost. Server wouldn't let us touch the cooking meat, burnt some of it, and kept moving our dishes around on the table (like why tho, leave my things alone..!). Loud atmosphere. Not worth 50$ (200$/4).Would not go back..

Came here with a friend and shared the large beef platter... probably could have done with the regular beef platter instead of the large because it was so much meat to finish! We definitely overestimated ourselves haha Upon entering with reservations, we were brought to our table (booth style seating). The interior is much larger than you would think from only looking at it from outside! The staff were quick and efficient as they brought us drinks and helped to answer our questions about items on the menu. After ordering, they quickly brought out the bbq additions and side dishes. While everything was quick, at no point did we ever feel rushed. Service was absolutely on point! Their steamed egg comes to your table and they cook it at your table instead of bringing it to you already cooked, like they do in other Korean restaurants. That itself was pretty cool and a welcomed different experience. It tasted sweet, nice and hot, and fluffy! The bbq itself was excellent. They came back in time intervals to cook the meat for you, in batches, and never once over or undercooked. Never dry and had a good bite to it. They also explained the cuts of meat they were cooking so you knew which parts you were eating- very informative! The quality of the meat was definitely noticeably higher than the cuts you'd see at say, an AYCE bbq restaurant. The dipping sauces that came with the meat paired wonderfully. You might already know but wrap the meat with lettuce wrap and top it with the side dishes to really elevate each bite! I was a fan of all their side dishes, especially the pickled jalapeño, onions and sliced scallions. Their kimchi was okay.Needless to say, I'll definitely come back here! It was a great experience and a perfect place to go to after a hard day of work. Give this place a go!!! Slightly more expensive but so worth it!
