One of the best roti spots I've been to in Brooklyn. They even have frozen roti so I always ordered roti to travel with.

Jen's Roti shop is my favorite spot for chicken roti with tamarind and pepper sauce! It can get a bit busy, but the wait is never too long and worth it. The cozy little space adds to the charm, even if it sometimes feels tight. I always leave with a smile and a full belly!

Come to this one even if the line is longer than the place across the street. You will thank me for this recommendation later.No matter what you were craving that brought you here (ie curry goat roti, bake & saltfish, etc) get some DOUBLES. A double is a deliciously sloppy mini sandwich of sorts and they made wonderfully here. Between the two pillowy soft baras--flat fried breads--is a flavorful spoonful of channa (curried chickpeas). Feeling extra snackish, you can add any meat to your doubles. And don't forget the sauce: in this case, it's tamarind sauce and pepper for me even though there are more options.I'm drooling while I'm writing this...

Chicken double with everything was superb! So delicious. All the right flavors combined into a fried bread of sorts. I was there Saturday, and I had to write a review because I could not stop thinking about it.My friend had a veggie double and chicken roti, and they devoured their food. So if you are in the area, don't miss your opportunity to try this deliousness.I only took a picture of our drinks. SMH. I was too busy chowin' down.

Doubles with tamarind sauce are my personal go to & vegetarian. But everything is generally good but Roto, Aloo pie( potatoes pie) & doubles especially. Everything can be specialized in the true trini way. But they run out of sauces fast. Add tamarind sauce ( sweet) , spice or pepper sauce(hot), Kuchela or Amchar(pickled mango chutney: sweet & sour), sea moss( it's a green sauce that has a distinct flavor) or cucumber sauce ( tasty cooling sauce) to anything.

Jens used to have horrible workers. Their energy made u want to jump through a window. But now..... OH MY GOD, Beautiful. I bought a shrimp roti yesterday and it serve to me with such amazing energy, that it was THE BEST roti I have eaten in a long time. Nigel was such a welcoming energy that you want to buy more than you plan to. It's not fake, it's so real. The lady with light brown eyes is pleasant also. There was another Indian lady with glasses, she was also pleasant. Nigel is cool. He makes you feel like you on Independence Square limin on a Friday afternoon.

On 6/19/24, I ordered a number of items from this restaurant on Uber Eats. Of the items, I ordered four beef doubles but got four goat doubles instead to share between my friend and I. On 6/21/24, my friend sent me pictures of a foreign metal object lodged in the meat of one of the goat doubles. I was embarrassed when I got the pictures because I ordered from here before and have never seen this before. And now I'm unsure on whether this happens often and no one noticed or paid attention. This is very unsanitary since I'm sure of how the meat was cleaned, prepared and cooked. A warning to all, please inspect your food before you eat and report immediately to 311.
