One of the noodles. The egg cost $4. I will say on par with a normal Japanese ramen but nothing more.

Reservations were pretty hard to get for this restaurant! The ambience was quite nice. My boyfriend and I sat next to each other (bar style seating). Service was pretty good. We ordered the Toro Ssam Bap, Jeju Fried Chikin, Family Ramyun, and Lobster Myun. My favorite dish was the fried chicken - the chicken was juicy and fried to perfection. I don't think there anything too special with the Toro Ssam Bap or Family Ramyun but they tasted delicious. Eating the Lobster Myun was an interesting experience since the texture of the lobster flavored foam mixed with the noodles and lobster isn't something I often have at restaurants.

This was for sure one of the most difficult spots to get a reservation for when we were planning our trip to NYC. As such, I hoped I would not be disappointed when there was so much hype. We started off with the Toro Ssam Bap - you must get this dish!! The egg, toro, rice, and caviar was the definition of chef's kiss for me. I could eat this in a giant bowl with rice. I normally don't like minced fish/tuna tower type dishes but when you scoop through all layers and put it on the rectangle of seaweed, it is absolutely delicious. They are also very generous in the caviar portions for this dish as well as the fried chicken. I ordered the Family Ramyun and my husband got the Wagyu Ramyun. The Family reminded me of a comforting dish that one would have at home as a child but made to be upscale with the shrimp, wood ear, and porchetta. I wasn't feeling the best when dining in so I mostly had the noodles (perfectly al dente), wood ear, broth, and some bites of shrimp. I did not mix in too much of the Calabrian chili but my husband added it to his bowl as he loves spicy foods and said it was great. The Wagyu Ramyun was very meaty and did have some great flavors! We also ordered the fried chicken. I don't usually enjoy fried chicken that much but even I will say this was very tasty. I can only imagine how great it would be for someone who enjoys fried chicken. The reservations are difficult to get but if you sign up for the Resy waitlist and have a somewhat flexible schedule, you should be able to get in. We kept getting notifications all weekend long of last minute openings (even on Valentine's Day weekend 2025). Until I can come back, I will be dreaming of that Ssam Bap.

There is an insane amount of hype around Jeju Noodle Bar so I was super excited when I was able to snag a last minute reservation on Resy thanks to American Express. Just a little plug for AmEx, I genuinely didn't understand the Resy Premium aspect of the credit card's benefit until this time. Apparently you get to have first dibs on last minute cancelled reservations which was great because that was exactly what happened here.- Toro Ssam Bap - Another dish that blew up on the internet. I don't know why but this kind of reminds me of poke except it is elevated and the fishy taste is not as evident. I did really like this dish but I'm not sure it was super memorable. Maybe it was because the ingredients all went very well together into a perfect combined taste and that flavor is hard to describe.- Ja Jang Styled Ribs - This was my boyfriend's favorite dish of the night which makes sense because he loves meat. As for me, I feel like the ribs were quite tender but I didn't feel like the flavors were that special. I will say that if you're hungry, this is definitely a dish that will fill you up. Special shout out to the pickled potato banchan. They called it a palate cleaner and I truly have never had any banchan or dish that wiped the previous taste in my mouth so quickly. That dish was magical. The cucumber kimchi was okay and surprisingly not very good.- Wagyu Ramen - This was the dish that blew up on the Internet so of course I had to try it, but honestly I was a bit disappointed. I feel like the ramen wasn't very special as the flavors are similar to that which you can get from ichiran or ippudo tonkatsu. Also I couldn't taste the softness or specialness of the wagyu beef, it just felt like any other slice of beef. I wouldn't recommend getting this dish.- Lobster Myun - Surprisingly this was the star of the night by far and probably one of the best noodle dishes I have had in New York thus far. The noodles were thick-cut but was drenched in this delicious and lobster-flavor filled sauce. The lobster itself was also incredibly tender and went really well with the noodles. I actually don't know how to describe this dish because it was truly very innovative and I cannot recommend this more. For 2 people I will say this was way too much food and we honestly could've just gotten 3 items instead. Haven't been to a Michelin starred restaurant that's no prix fixe so it was an interesting experience. Get the Lobster Myun for sure! Also love that it's so close to the west side highway for a great after meal walk!

I was so excited to finally try this place. Reservations are not easy to get. Hostess not welcoming. Sat at the bar, server was clingy and a little annoying. Restaurant vibes were good. Toro Ssam bap was 10/10 and worth it.Fried chicken was 2/10 and I personally found it to be a waste of caviar. Beer was 10/10 excellent.

Love the romantic ambience and the decor. The food was great, especially the Toro Ssam Bop. The service was mid. Food runners were great. The upsetting part was that we wanted to take one of our fried chicken to go and they packaged it without the caviar! I think it's a bit absurd to pay that much for just fried chicken and not have the caviar. I was excited to eat the leftover caviar at home, only to find out they packaged everything, including the lime, but no caviar (the highlight)...

Finally got a reservation for Jeju and it mostly didn't disappoint. The inside is cute and the ambiance is definitely more date vibes. We ordered the mushroom ramyun, ribs, toro ssam, and the truffle scallop. Ironically, we loved all the dishes except for the famous toro ssam. It just wasn't anything special? I've had way better versions at omakases or other sushi restaurants so I definitely wouldn't recommend getting it. There was not much flavor and it was just a let down tbh. That being said the mushroom ramyun was definitely the highlight. It was SO good. The ribs and truffle scallop dishes were also enjoyable. Overall, considering this place has a Michelin star, I wouldn't say this even came close to the best food I've had but it was overall enjoyable. The prices are steeper tho and the portion size is tiny so I would only come here for a special circumstance.

Came here with a friend for my birthday, with reservations. Had to make reservations a month in advance and were pretty hard to get! We came early and the staff at the door seated us right away at the bar. Upon sitting, they tell you to scan a QR code for the menu. The Toro Ssam Bap is definitely one of the appetizers you need to order!! It was definitely my favorite dish served, with the many flavors of fatty tuna, tobiko, seaweed and golden caviar all melding together in your mouth! So so so good! They give you seaweed on the side so you can make your own wraps and they gave just the right amount of seaweed for the amount of food there is. Very rich flavors- get it! We also ordered the JaJang style ribs - half rack. Definitely juicy with a good chunk of meat and a nice char to it. More on the sweeter side due to the maple, and was a good appetizer, but not as good as the toro ssam bap that came first. The Gochu Ramyun for the main course was also a good choice for me as I love noodle soups! Unlike any bowl in the city, Jeju knows what combinations go well together and this was definitely one of them! The broth was a rich, pork bone broth, obvious that it had been simmering for a while, creating a wonderful broth immersed with all the good flavors. Noodles had the right chew, not undercooked and not overcooked. There was a heaping pile of sauce on top to mix in and though it looks spicy, the soup itself wasn't too spicy- just a small kick. (Coming from someone who loves spicy food though) Overall, would return to order the Toro Ssam Bap and to also try their other dishes as well. Well deserved to be Michelin rated restaurant as the food was absolutely delicious!

Made a reservation a month in advance for bar seating for 2 people. Once you go in, they offer you some hand sanitizer and proceed to seat you. The menu was not all that extensive, but had Korean dishes with their own spin to it. We ordered the Toro Ssam Bap with Uni, Wagyu Ramen and the Lamb Ja Jang Myun. My favorite dish was the Toro Ssam Bap. All the flavors blended and melts into your mouth all at once. Honestly, it could do without the seaweed wrap. The Wagyu Ramen was alright and didn't have as much flavor as I thought it would have. I opted to add an egg which was delicious and cooked perfectly. The noodles in the Lamb Ja Jang Myun had just the right chew/bounce to it and was delicious. The space itself was small and it would be nice if they had coat check as I had nowhere to put my big coat since I was sitting at the bar. They do have hooks for your bags/coats but my coat wouldn't fit. This is a great restaurant to catch up with your friends, grab drinks and try out all the delicious food they have on their menu.

Coveted with the optimal 1 Michelin Star, where restaurants usually have a solid price to deliciousness ratio, JeJu Noodle Bar is disappointing and probably one of the weakest Michelin starred restaurants I've ever been to.We ordered:* Ja Jang Style Ribs - 9/10: personally my favorite thing that we ordered, the meat was juicy and flavorful, though I couldn't taste much of the "ja jang" flavor profile* Toro Ssam Bap - 8/10: one of their popular appetizers, it was good, but nothing special* Gochujang Bokum - 7/10: tasted and felt like a normal rice bowl you can get at a Japanese lunch place* Donkatsu - 5/10: there was way too much tomato sauce which made the katsu super soggy* Gochu Ramyun - 7/10: spicy and flavorful, though nothing special* Family Ramyun - 7/10: rich and flavorful, though again nothing specialUnfortunately, the expectations for a starred restaurants are higher than that of a regular place as I would like to be impressed or wowed by something. Service was just as unspectacular. The food here is good, though nothing mind-blowing, and it feels like I can get dishes just as delicious in K-Town.

Tried Jeju Noodle bar for lunch. The service here is very good and their appetizers in particular are really good. We ordered three things:- Toro Ssam Bap: 11/10, if you order nothing else get this! Was pricey but it did have caviar on top. I think it would have tasted just as good without caviar because the toro was really carrying the dish. It reminded me of one of the dishes they made on culinary class wars.- Family Ramyun: it was good but does not live on in my memory. Pretty mild, salty and milky broth. The shrimp was nicely cooked.- Gochu Ramyun: not my favorite, very smokey but my boyfriend liked itI agree with the overall assessment that the starters here was what shine over the noodles. If I came back I would probably order only appetizers and the toro ssam bap again.
