The food was really good but the service was a little strange. It has an upscale vibe inside and there's a coat check when you walk in which is nice. It's white table cloth dining. It has a really nice open spacious feel and would be great for celebrations.Appetizers: -The lobster roll was decent but the cup of broth was rich in flavor and perhaps even better than the actual roll. -The scallops were fresh with a hint of extra flavor maybe it was a little citrus fruit on top but it added a dynamic flavor profile which was pleasant. -The shrimp cocktail was fine - I wouldn't get it as there many other more interesting things in the menu. -The arugula salad was light. -The bread and butter was also just okay - not worth getting.Mains: - French Dip (which they are known for) was pretty good but they sadly room the dish away that had the broth on it too soon we didn't get to dip. - The ravioli pasta thing we got with truffle was easily the star of the show! This was an absolutely phenomenal dish with heavy hearty flavors and a great texture. The truffle added no flavor though which is disappointing. You can skip that addition. - the pomodoro was pretty good. The pasta its self had a lovely chewy texture. The sauce is fresh and light.- the steak was a little disappointing... it was very chewy like to the point where I couldn't really eat it. Maybe the other pieces were better but mine were tough even though we got medium rare. Sides:- the seasonal vegetables were delicious and fresh but we didn't really know what they were lol- the carrots were good but nothing special Dessert: the bread pudding is probably the best bread pudding I've bed had. Like wow. Honestly a life changing bread pudding. The flavors were decadent and little soft raisins were perfect addition for texture. The cookie was fine, it has a lot of chocolate which I like but my friends like the cookie part more. The server had a slightly chaotic energy and kind of kept walking away when we were trying to add things to our order but then they sent a chocolate chip cookie over so that was nice. He just didn't let us finish talking at times. Also. I did lose my earring here and it was never found sadly. Overall, it was good experience but I'm not sure I'd recommend given how off put I was by the service and some of our food choices just didn't hit. My friend had been before and had a better experience the first time she was there.

Was invited to dinner here by a friend and came with a party of 4. Before our reservation, I had done some searching on the restaurant and saw it was a "scene-y" place to have dinner which normally deter me as I found based on my past experiences. This usually means the quality of food and/or service is sacrifice, but that was not the case of jeans. We were promptly seated for our 9 PM reservation and immediately began to peruse the menus. I had a wonderful Mezcal drink, and the rest of my ordered various cocktails as well. We then ordered the oysters, tuna carpaccio and beef tartare to start. While the size of the oysters was disappointing (so small!), the tuna and beef were incredible!!For our mains, we shared the Bistro Burger, one of the highlights of the restaurant, and the special of the day which was a pasta egg yolk dish. Both were absolute perfection. Having heard about the famous chocolate chip cookie dessert, our party was hoping to have ordered that, but we were informed they did not have it on the menu so instead we opted for their summer dessert option of a peach cobbler, which was so delicious. One of the better ones I've tried outside of the dining in the South. The restaurant has lots of music and plenty of young people talking with dark, ambient lighting. You'll come to realize many of these young people, the later you dine in the evening, are hoping to then enter the underground club below. I had the opportunity to go Myself, and although it was a Thursday evening, the party was just getting started. There was plenty of space, great lounge seating, as well as free water and endless funky disco. No one was using their phones, and the majority of the crowd was either socializing or on the dance floor, which was great to see.I would absolutely come back - to both the restaurant and the club!

Such a fun place to visit for date night or a girls night out. We tried bit of almost everything on the menu, with the star of the show being the cheeseburger and giant chocolate chip cookie. Service is wonderful, cocktails are top notch, and massive portions for sharing. Posh decor and overall fab ambiance.

This place was cute and I think three stars is appropriate... They're trying to pull off New York City posh, which is OK but the food has a ways to go. Everything was cooked well, but I wouldn't say that any of the flavors were stand out. Everything was, pretty standard flavored. We started off with an oyster shrimp plate, which was OK. We then had the salmon tartare, which was absolutely delicious. The salmon didn't have much flavor, but they put some type of salad underneath it. That was very well flavored. We also had, the chicken breast, burger, and spaghetti were good but the flavor was the drinks were decent and standard pricing for NYC.We went downstairs to the club after dinner and I did like the vibe and the DJ there

Horrific food and bad service. The burger was astronomically expensive while also being incredibly bland. Menu is limited. 4 slices of bread with butter.... 12 dollars!?!? CRIMINAL!!!!! Server took 20 minutes to take our cards and pay the bill. As a group of 4, we spend over 400 dollars. Insane. I will NEVER go back.

The restaurant portion of Jean's is finally open, after it has been operating as a nightclub for quite some time now.It goes without saying that this will be a place to go for vibes, but the food also happens to be amazing, featuring fresh ingredients from owner Max's farm in New Hope. The Tuna Carpaccio ($22) is an absolute must to start, a sis the Thai Chicken Salad ($16). Get the Chitarra Pesto ($21) too as a starter or mid-course, before you get the must-try Bistro Burger ($24) with great fries, and a really good French Dip ($42) too. Lastly, don't leave without the Big Chocolate Chip Cookie ($12).

Love this place so much. Great vibe, great food. Love the tagliatelle bolognese and the Thai chicken and you can't go wrong with their great burgers and perfect fries. Check out the lounge downstairs too! It's really cool.

I didn't have high expectations here but left feeling satisfied. Cocktails:Dirty Jean's (they add Birds Eye chilies to their brine for this spicy dirty martini) was arguably one of the best martinis had in nyc. The KP Mai tai was refreshing, but didn't taste as much as a Mai tai as I was hoping. Food:Caesar salad had great flavor and loved the deconstructed presentation. The lobster rolls are a must- the bisque shooters are flavorful as well. Burger was cooked medium and had a decadent amount of cheese. Somehow not too greasy. The tagliatelli bolognese was maybe the only dish that was just okay (could use more seasoning and sauce)Couldn't leave here without trying the huge chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Perfectly gooey and there is bourbon milk to dip it in.

I spend way too many evenings there.Highlights :- Off Broadway (Passionfruit Foam Cocktail)- Beef Tartare on Milk Bread toast !- Thai Chicken Salad- Tuna Carpaccio- Chicken Dish (Wasn't huge into it the first time but had it again and it's quite perfect now)- Bolognese- Big Cookie- I'm not a burger girl but if i was a burger girl it'd be Jean'sI'd say the reason I go there as much as I do is more for the vibes than for a transporting cullinary experience but the food is always delicious, very well executed classics. Service is also always on point altough it sometimes does take a bit of time to get the table when it's a weekend night but then we just end up hanging in the bar area and it's not a big deal to us.
