Jamrock Jerk

The chicken and pork were a bit dry but very flavorful and the smoking was done well, again, despite being a bit on the dry side. The portions are big too (for the meat) which is nice. The sauces are pretty tasty also. Took away a star cause the sides weren't my favorite (one bite of the Mac and cheese was plenty to know it's not the best). The salad was pretty weak as well. Both sides were way overpriced for the portion sizes.I was also very disappointed in the lemonades. They are loaded with sugar and high fructose corn syrup (which you can clearly taste) despite being listed as "natural" (which they clearly were not). They were not tart at all despite saying they have 100% lemon juice in them. I'm a lemonade lover and this did NOT reach the bar at all. Overall would order again but skip the sides and drinks entirely, meats only.

They were at a pop up in Astoria near 30th Avenue and smelled amazing! Really wanted to try the oxtail but they said the pork is good too. The flavors were on point and they packed it full, came to $20 something with tax. Came with plantains and salad, rice , would definitely get again!

I was super in the mood for Jamaican food today due to a huge upcoming reggae concert with legendary Buju Banton in New York today and stumbled across this food cart with authentic smokers and the smell alone drew me in! It was meant to be! The service was awesome and they were super nice which is sometimes hardTo find in a Carribean food spot lmao IYKYK!! Lmao. I'm happy to know they also do delivery . The food was great and set my day ready to go to the show ! I had the staples Oxtail and Rice/Peas and Jerk chicken (super authentic ) w must try !!!!! Glad to have this placeNear me!

I ordered the Jerk Pork, rice and peas, salad, plantain and mac and cheese. I thought the portions were decent. I made two meals out of it. The jerk sauce that they provide in a packet is delicious. I took a star away because I felt that it was super expensive (almost $30) and I thought they could've done a better job with the mac and cheese. The flavor was pretty bland. The girls that were taking orders and packing food were pretty friendly and efficient.

Ordered delivery from Jamrock Jerk. I got the stewed oxtail with rice and peas, sweet plantain and salad. The oxtail fell right off the bone. The rice peas is topped with oxtail gravy without the side of attitude. The plantain gives the meal a sweet and savory vibe and the salad is just salad, but the lettuce is crisp. Check it out for yourself!

Definitely enjoyed my food! I ordered via Uber eats and the oxtail was tender, they didn't disappoint with the gravy and the mango lemonade was finished quick. So refreshing!

Jamrock is some of the best food in forest hills. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and salad. The chicken was delicious and moist and the portion was enough for 2 meals. It also comes with a small salad and plantains. There's always a line before they open, so I went around 12:30-1pm and there was no wait, so I just ordered in person. Can't wait to try the rest of their food!

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it wasn't what I expected. To order we had to wait over 10mins for someone to ask and we were the only ones there, that's apart from me asking who can I place my order with. Than the staff all seemed upset and with an attitude. Waited another 15mins to get the food and on top of that it was cold and just wasn't what I thought it would be. The rice was bland, Mac and cheese was super dry, the chicken was ok, a little too spicy for my liking, we wanted to enjoy the outdoor seating but the amount of bees as we sat was insane, Not sure if I would give it a second chance.

Jerk chicken taste good with the rice but the jerk sauce they gave was way too sweet like strawberry jam sauce. Didn't fit well with the spicy rice and chicken meat in my opinion. I am glad they gave sauce packets instead of pouring it all over themselves. The price was expensive at about 19 dollars for one medium box of chicken and rice. In my opinion 13 would be a fair price.....Overall I liked it and there was a good amount of meat , in the photo it doesn't show that well but it's there underneath.

Oxtail from @jamrockjerkny $20.This is worth every single penny!!!.I've always wanted to try this food truck, but don't want to wait online for it. Luckily, the line was short so I had to try it.. I know Jamaicans know how to cook oxtail so that is what I went for... I did hesitate a bit due to the price but I honestly didn't want anything else aside from the oxtail. It was either the oxtail or nothing... .I am so glad I got it, it was so freaking delicious. It came with 10 pieces of oxtail of which all had meat on them... they were very generous, but I'm not sure if was lucky or that's their normal portion... I was very satisfied to say the least. The meat was very tender and juicy. And that sauce, drizzle all over the rice and peas (as they call it), I can eat that all day every day... .The best part though, it was not spicy. Most of you DM asking me about the spice level. I cannot take any spice so had it said spicy oxtail, I would have passed on it. However, I think the sauce does have some hot pepper, a very very mild kick, but nothing that lingers or numbing... they do offer hot sauce on the side for those who enjoy their food spicy...It also comes with plantains and salad, honestly, I would be ok without them. The plantains wasn't overly ripe so it was not very sweet or mushy, the way I plantains.. as for the salad, definitely nothing special... dressing comes on the side... .This only tells me their other items are probably good too, but I dunno if I want anything else aside from the oxtail... I'm not really a jerk chicken fan, I always find them on the dry side, but now I understand why there's always a line... you can order for pickup... I'm so glad the line was short and got to try their food finally...
