What a beautiful, classy restaurant- from the fresh flowers to the superb service. It's intimate and sexy inside. This is a great date spot. My branzino was delicious- can't wait to come back!

Our travel group of 6 had a dinner reservation on New Year's Day. We were in the restaurant for less than 10 minutes before we were abruptly asked to leave. While I would absolutely admit to our group being "jolly" on new years, we were in no way at a level of removal. The oldest member of our group was 67 and the youngest 50 and collectively none of us have EVER been kicked out of a restaurant. We were never given a noise level warning. A server simply materialized after we ordered a bottle of champagne and slammed a bill on the table and rudely said "it's time for you to go". No further explanation. She also very condescendingly said "I hope you pay your bill". We of course immediately paid for the $200 bottle of champagne we didn't get to drink and returned promptly to the Plaza Hotel where we were greeted with impeccable service. If you are looking for a dinner location where you will be welcomed and treated with warm and friendly service...Jack & Charlie's is NOT IT!For those of you wondering about possible reasons for our being asked to leave, we can only chalk it up to us being from the South and our New York waitress not being a fan. Sad because we found every other establishment we visited to be lovely and the people to be welcoming.

On our third visit we finally tried brunch. We started with the donuts (yum!) and then decided to split the French toast & the prime rib panini. Everything was super delicious.

I was not that impressed by this restaurant. The service was amazing but that's where the good ended. My friend and I shared the tuna tartare (this did taste very good), the mushroom pasta (this was ok), she got branzino (it was ok) and I got the steak frites (this was terrible). Then when the bill came, the steak was listed for more on the bill than what it was on the menu. Will not be returning

Great food, great service and ambience. Good date night spot, apparently in winter they turn the fireplace on.The prime rib was really good, shared between two people. Ordered extra creamy spinach - at $16 it felt pricey given the size of it. The burger was nice and substantial. The addition of bacon made it extra tasty. Likewise with the Caesar salad, it was nicely dressed. Very enjoyable. Overall a good spot - just beware there is a 3% surcharge they add on top of the check, regardless if you pay cash or card. When we asked, we didn't get a clear answer. It was weird because we didn't get complementary bread or anything like that. So 3% surcharge and then tax and tip also.

Good was solid but nothing incredible or really wowed us besides the donuts those were delish. The staff was very accommodating to adding an additional guest to our res which was greatly appreciated however, the service was very slow. My Bellini came out after the food, maybe 45-50 minutes after it was ordered. And the the Bloody Mary cart while it was super cool was a very slow process I felt bad our waiter was standing at our table for almost 30 minutes making them. The vibe inside is amazing and super cute and it's a great location but I wish the food was a little more memorable.

Went in for Saturday brunch. Resy for 2 was simple and easy to grab last minute. There was no wait and we were seated promptly in the main dining room. The ambiance is warm and decor is modern cozy green paneling, giving gastropub feel bridging on steakhouse. Brunch menu is not extensive. You're either having eggs or pancake variations, or burger and French dip panini, which is what we got. $45 buys you a prix fixe option with coffee, cider donuts and mimosa. Opted for Bloody Mary trolly which on paper sounded fun but in practice wasn't that great, since olives and pickle were stale and so were the celery stalks. The cheese stuffed olives turned out to be Boursin which was a hard pass expecting blue cheese. The burger came out more well done (ordered medium) and my French dip beef panini although well toasted, badly needed condiments. Asked for horseradish mayo. Waitress brought out horseradish. I'm like fine now bring mayo lol . The side of jus was a bit bland neither particularly beefy nor peppery or salty. Best part was the cone of rosemary frites fries that were cooked just right with a side of homemade ketchup. They were surprisingly out of Diet Coke. Upon swapping for regular you get a small glass bottle, which explains why they ran out I suppose. Tap water initially was lukewarm and we had to ask for ice. For $80 I've had better experiences although this wasn't terrible. Would consider giving dinner a try but not expecting to be blown away.

Great place to grab brunch. We got salmon and avocado toast, chocolate babka french toast, jack's stacks, and the donuts. All were delicious. They also make a delicious espresso martini. The servers are friendly and attentive. Really liked the interior decor esp at the bar and near the fireplace.

Everything about this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Our server was so incredibly kind and well informed about the menu options. We opted for the duck meatloaf, shepherd pie croquettes, the truffle lasagna and the sticky toffee carrot cake. Everything was incredible, particularly the croquettes and sticky toffee cake. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a more mature atmosphere than some of the neighboring restaurants.

Came here for drinks and apps after an event. We were caught in the rain and needed a place to take cover and we were all hungry. It was not packed at all which also was a plus for us. I was thankful they let us in as we were not dressed to be at a pretty nice restaurant. As you can see in pictures my friend had the Jumbo shrimp cocktail. She said it was very tasty. My other friend had the steak tar tare. He said it was very good. I had the pretzel bites. The mustard that came with it was tasty. There is slight everything but the bagel type seasoning on the pretzel bites. They were nothing special but they were not bad. For drinks I had the Lydia Fields Elixir which had: Cucumber vodka, elderflower, honey, fresh cucumber and celery it was soo refreshing. My friend had an old fashioned. He said it was good. I would come back here again and try an actual meal. I did want to try the BLT wedge, but they could not put the blue cheese on the side. It is all mixed together supposedly.
