Came here with a large group around 8:30pm on Saturday night and only had to wait ~15 minutes to get seated which was not too bad at all for such a large group.Expect an automatic 20% charge for gratuity so check to ensure that before tipping more. The vibe was very lively and the music was great, not too loud to hear everyone you're with even when it's fully packed. The food is the reason for the 3/5. Everything was very OK. We got the army stew, jjangmyeon, tteokbokki, kimchi pancake, and squid/pork. The best here was the kimchi pancake and tteokbokki and all others were a bit disappointing especially the army stew.I'd still recommend this place for a great late night drinking spot with a bunch of friends and then some small bites if other places nearby are all booked.

We got soy garlic chicken and budae jjigae. The army stew had lots of ingredients in it, and it was a satisfying portion. However, for some reason everything was a bit soggy. I think the ingredients had been sitting for too long in the soup before it started boiling. I trust that the dish would have been better if it weren't soggy. The chicken was delicious.I like the ambiance - it feels very suitable for the Ktown nightlife, perfect for some drinks. The service was fast.

We came here for drinks and a snack on a Friday night after watching a broadway show. It was pretty packed because it was Halloweekend but we got seated pretty fast! The service here is friendly and lively, loud music, and good vibes! We ordered a soju cocktail which they made quite strong. And then the bulgogi kimchi fries, which I was super impressed with.I love the vibes here so I would definitely come back with a group of friends.

I will start by saying that if you plan on going to a bar in this area prepare to be overstimulated. I had seen a bunch of people raving about the bar food here and finally walked in when i was in the area for a comedy show. It was Friday night so there was a line but it moved pretty quick! Once you're inside its blasting with K Pop and tons of people pregaming. I opted for a bottle of soju with one other and split the bulgogi fries. The food is ok-- definitely fun fusion bar food but it wasnt life changing for me personally. It was also kind of a tad pricey (the food not the drinks) in my opinion.

Still riding this buzz and thinking about all the yummy things I ate and drank at IP tonight...I love the vibe of this place, I love their menu offerings, I LOVE the Korean plum liquor, and I love how awkward everyone looks when they're trying to find the entrance (not easy btw but I love that). I'm not sure what this spot is like on a Friday/weekend but on a Wednesday after work it's perfect. My friend is vegetarian but we found plenty of dishes to share starting with the tteokbokki (my fav), then the tofu in hell (SPICY), and the incredibly cheesy kimchi dumpling gratin that came out SIZZLING. 10/10 across the board. The staff were sweet and attentive, bathrooms are clean, and the k pop is fun and not too loud that you have to yell over it to talk. I'll be back again and again and again...GEONBAE!!!!!

Came here on a whim. The neon lighting and crowd caught me in a trance. The spot isn't too spacious but boy does it get full! I seemed to have gotten there at the right time on a Friday night, no line to get in and I was fortunate to scoop up the last seat at the bar. The bartenders were swift and helpful with recommendations, I sipped on my lychee martini while listening to K pop, rap etc. i was jamming! This was my first time at a Korean bar but it did not disappoint. We also tried the grapefruit soju and it was so good, dangerous really!! Their veggie dumplings were crisp and juicy, the fries and wings were also cooked to perfection. I would absolutely come again

Itaewon Pocha is located on the 2nd floor of 28 W 32nd Street. The entrance may be a little confusing, but you'll see 28 W on the front door and there is a juice shop on the 1st floor. After you walk in, go up the stairs and you'll see a black door that saids Itaewon Pocha. I had made a reservation through Yelp for a party of 3 on Friday, June 28 at 5:45 PM. We were given options for tables and were seated right away. There are a good amount of tables and great for groups. The menu serves Korean comfort food and we ordered the sausage with fried rice cake, beef bulgogi over rice, and bulgogi kimchi fries. One side of the menu has the food and the other is the drinks. The sausage with fried rice cake and beef bulgogi over rice were very tasty, good, and flavorful. The sausage with fried rice cake came to our table sizzling and had a lot of sausage and the fried rice cake was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fries were our least favorite. It didn't have much bulgogi and mostly kimchi on top. The 3 dishes were great for sharing and we were full at the end of the meal. Service was wonderful and they were attentive. My friends were a little annoyed by the strobe lights cuz it was hard to read the menu and the music was a bit too loud so we couldn't hear each other. Other than that, the decor is fun giving a pocha feel with the tent material on the walls and hanging lights. I did enjoy the food minus the fries. It sure got more crowded as the night went on. For parties of 1 or larger, a 20% gratuity is applied automatically.

Somewhat affordable drinks, but I just come for the vibes and soju. There's a good amount of variety here whether it's food or alcohol.Ambiance is quite loud and obnoxious just like you would expect from a late night bar. Hard to do any actual talking unless you're a loud drink such as me, LOL!The staff here seemed like they were in a bit of a rush to get rid of my party of 2 on a weekday, which I thought was rather odd. Perhaps they thought they weren't going to make much money off of us.

Very good vibe inside, good for a date spot if you are sitting at the bar. Loud environment otherwise (better for friends). I ALWAYS see a line for this place on the weekends. I would go somewhere else if there is more than a 20+ min wait. It's a nice place but nothing to wait over an hour for. I had 2 kinds of Soju and the half chicken. The chicken was dry so I would not recommend but the fries were delicious.
