Imasa Nori Sushi Izakaya

I really like this place. It's small, but cozy. The sushi rolls are really good and the staff is super friendly. Been here a couple of times and have not been disappointed. This most recent time, we brought the kids and my younger one had the teriyaki chicken which he really liked and the rest of us made mixed rolls. Definitely recommend this place!

This was a great spot for a quick lunch before our trip back home. It was near our hotel and close to big tourist attractions like Time Square without being overly touristy. We were seated immediately, it was after 2pm on a holiday weekend Monday. They have great lunch specials, but told us they weren't doing them since it was a holiday, which made sense.My fiance and I ended up sharing one of their sashimi platters that came with a choice of maki. The fish we got was extremely delicious. It was great quality and very yummy. Our food came out pretty quickly after ordering too. I'd recommend coming here for lunch.

We came by as a group of 7 for lunch on Saturday and was seated right away. They have a wide selection of lunch specials everyday except for Sunday! I got the salmon platter with miso soup and was surprised how much soup they gave me. The soup was really good. The salmon was also good. I'd swing by for lunch if I'm in the area again!

We visited on a Friday evening and were surprised to find plenty of open seats. The restaurant is bright, spacious, and has a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered two special rolls (Phoenix and Dynamite roll), a sashimi set, and beef short ribs. The sashimi was fresh and enjoyable, but the rest of the dishes didn't particularly stand out.We spent around $50 per person without drinks, before tip. While the experience was decent, nothing was memorable enough to make me want to return at this price point.

Very fresh yummy sushi. Delish salads and tofu appetizer. Everything was flavorful and so good!!

Smaller portion than I hoped for its price. Nevertheless, the fish was fresh, fatty, and had no weird aftertaste. Good place to eat before or after a broadway show!

The ambience here is very nice but the actual sushi could've been better quality and quantity. Still not bad for the price point. Service was also very nice.

Come here if you want to eat sushi before a show and are in the area. This a true three star spot. It's not bad, but it's not something you'd tell your friends about.We got pork boa buns - they were good and did their job.My husband got the beef fried rice - it was good, nothing to write home about but nothing to complain aboutI got the maki combo with a salmon avocado roll, the crunchy roll, and the yellowtail/scallion roll - The salmon avocado roll was definitely the best out of the three. I was full after and it was affordable.The service was nice, and the ambiance is good.This spot was 500ft away from The Great Gatsby on Broadway, which is what we were going to see after dinner. We were in and out in under and hour with plenty of time to get something sweet to eat and then go to the show without stress!

After a terrible, overpriced and under-portioned meal at Taru, we stopped by here just to get the gross taste of bland, unseasoned tempura batter our of our mouths. Gotta love Imasa for a reasonably priced and filling Salmon Avocado Roll and Seared Salmon Sashimi in yuzu soy sauce. Flavor! Will come back soon for a real meal.

Stopped in for dinner during a work trip and sat at the bar. Friendly and attentive staff in a busy midtown location. The food came out quickly and was delicious-- the rolls and nigiri really hit the spot. Would visit again the next time in town!
