3.8/5 starsIl Fiorista offers a charming dining experience with a creative focus on floral-inspired dishes. The food was good, with thoughtful presentation and fresh ingredients, but it didn't quite reach the "great" level you'd expect for a restaurant of this caliber in New York. We tried the tasting menu, which was enjoyable but felt a bit overpriced for the flavors and portions. Service was attentive, and the ambiance was lovely, but overall, it didn't leave a lasting impression. A solid option, but not a standout in the NYC dining scene.

If you're looking for a good space for a group dinner, this is the spot. I came here a few months back for a birthday dinner, and at first they sat us in the front, but later shifted us to a back room area, which we pretty much had entirely to ourselves (yay!). The food surprised me! It was very very very very good. I remember the meatballs being standouts and the pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauce (bolognese) the perfect compliment. Cocktails were also really tasty. It wasn't an inexpensive dinner, but between the A++ staff/service, the equally strong cocktails and food, I'd definitely return to eat here again for dinner and do recommend it for a last minute group birthday meal venue

We came to Il Fiorista for dinner after our wedding ceremony. We were a party of 9 and did the 4 course chefs tasting menu. ($85 PP) Firstly, Carlie, who helped me with all the details from reservation to contract, to dietary restrictions. Carlie was so incredibly helpful and nice. Then, the food. WOW. It was an amazing deal and there was so much food. We started with apps such as arancini, lotus chips, marinated olives, buratta and then we had mushroom risotto which was amazing. then onto the branzino which was cooked to perfection. They also served dessert as a final course. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and explained everything to us in the best way possible! We had the semi private table and it was just perfect. There is also a wine pairing which we did that is definitely a must. it's a glass of wine with each course. I would recommend Il Fiorista for any type of event of just dinner. They had other options as well! You can also order flowers for the table - We sent pictures as inspiration and they were exactly what we wanted.

Came in for Sunday brunch and got reservations just in case. Surprisingly when we arrived there was only two other people in the place. Needless to say the reservation wasn't necessary. We got seated right away (haha).2/3 shakshuka - was very tart. Didn't like it.4/5 BLT - topped with an egg and served with a side of potatoes. Pretty good.2/5 Bloody Mary - too tart4/5 French 75 - very goodNot sure why it was so dead since the place was cute and some of the food was decent. They got swag for sale too.

The Ambience is clean and modern. The food seems to be more Northern Italian.Among the items I loved to eat were the strachiatella spread with pistachio, tomato salad with pesto sauce and cheese, large raviolis with truffle in butter sauce. The branzino was nicely fried fillets, and the dessert with lavender sauce and blue berries on panacotta and Chocolate dessert were a good ending. Injustice wish we were informed about the 2-tiered choice for the pre-fixed course - 3 or 4 course. The 4-course just happened by surprise.

This space is adorable and I really wish the food was up to par! I ordered a smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was probably the most lackluster luster eggs Benedict I've had before. The eggs were overcooked resulting in a fully hard boiled yolk, there was minimal salmon, and the potatoes on the side seemed under-seasoned. I did really love the hollandaise sauce though! That being said I was not impressed with their brunch. You might have better luck not getting their brunch items and instead get other things like pasta. It might have a bit more flavor.Although our food was really mediocre at best, service was quick and attentive. They were really friendly and handled all our ordered with no hiccups!

Loved the ambience, very cozy and beautiful. For food, I ordered spinach and ricotta agnolotti which was delicious but the portions were small. The service is good though, but food recommendations by servers could be better.

I came here for a group dinner. I like the idea of incorporating flowers into everything, and the restaurant is very pretty, but the food was average. They did have a great drink menu. The service was slow, and there was confusion around the drinks. Our group was in the private back room. Online, it says this room seats 24 people. We were ~21-22 people, and we were very crowded. I don't know how we could have fit even more people. I don't think more than 18 people should be in that room.
