Had a lovely girls catch up brunch here. I can see where the staff feedback is divisive.I got there early (it's In my blood) and about 10-15 min before they officially opened (didn't realize that until I stepped inside), but Julius, bless him, immediately offered me some hot water/tea and for me to sit while I wait instead of standing outside in the 18 degree temps. The hostess who was there was not as gracious and seemed bothered 70% of the time. Then the waiter and other staff I interacted with during our meal were all outstanding. I received great/solid recommendations and enjoyed most of them. They were attentive and helpful in answering questions and concerns as well (my concerns around a too sweet manhattan). The food was quite tasty and this is from someone who pretty much avoids going to Italian restaurants because I feel like it's never worth it/can't compare to some neighborhood Italian spots. The mushroom pasta was the outstanding dish, and I'm huge on meat proteins. This was satisfying, packed with flavor and the pasta/mushroom textures were spot on. The frittata was crisp on the outside, pillowy inside with nice chunks of soft potato. The eggplant appetizer and olive oil cake were fine but not standout. The Manhattan was beautiful; just the right amount of sweetness (not cloying) and perfectly smooth. I had 3.Great meal and would come again

Was here for a group meeting, we had the second floor to ourselves, including an open space rooftop for the initial cocktails and some snacks (which were hovered around by the bees... so watch it if you have allergies). Service at this time was ok, in the background providing drinks at the bar and plates, taking some used dishes. I liked the bread with the olive oil. Charcuterie board was ok.We sat down to our dinner, and it was a fixed menu, everyone sharing the dishes. We started with appetizers:- crispy artichokes - tasty and crunchy outside, soft hearts. Could've used a bit more salt.- prawns a la plancha: never really like large prawns because they're easily overcooked, but these were ok- yellowtail crudo was good, surprised others on the table shied away from it- persian cucumber salad was refreshing- Bernardo's pepperoni pizza was a brick oven pizza, not burnt on the bottom, tasty pepperoni. very well done!Dinner mains:- roasted red snapper was a filet piece on corn and garlic, was not bad- roasted short rib fell off the bone, lovely soft and the surprise there was a crunch celery salad- half roasted chicken was exactly that - roasted chicken; well-cooked, juicy and a little bit of salt and herbs- brought another pizza - sausage this time, I think - not as good as the pepperoni, but still good.Contorne was mixed market seasonal veggies.Dessert - flourless chocolate cake was ok, and they had little gelati & sorbetti - the coconut had coconut shavings in it; the mango was better.Overall not bad for food.Service - rushed through. Not always placing food in the middle where people were talking, but offset so sometimes one person didn't get to try a prawn or another dish very easily as it was out of reach on the long tables. Also getting refills while seated was tricky.. my seatmate to the left didn't even get wine poured, she was skipped and had to ask separately while the rest of the table was good. Water refilled was slow, if at all.The other part - the servers cleared anything even partially finished off the table, and didn't offer to pack it up or anything. The pizza, the rib, etc... all cleared before we were done eating. A bit of a waste, would've loved to take the pizza home.Overall, good space, food is a nice family style serving and filling, flavorful and enjoyed. Servers - hit and miss. They seemed to be around but not always keeping an eye on how they were serving.

We went for a late lunch and got seated immediately at the back bar. We prefer counter seats so this worked out for us. Chose this place because I had noted that they served bicerin- unfortunately they don't anymore. Nevertheless, the food was good as were the drinks. The crispy artichoke was delicious. The sesame bread that accompanied the baked eggs stole the show. They didn't mind that we lingered, which allowed for a nice leisurely meal.

I remember being blown away by this place a few years ago. Went back and it had lost some of its luster for me. Good is still good but not super memorable. Our server was clueless and forgetful but courteous.

The food is good, but the service is average. I would recommend the black bass crudo however the menu doesn't list that there is aioli in it and I hate aioli so I picked around it. We got the spaghettini and it was good but nothing special. The panna cotta was also good but nothing special. Our reservation was at 7 pm and we did not get our main courses until after 8 pm, which I just think is way too slow.

Ambiance and service was great but the food was thoroughly mid. Wouldn't spend my money here again and unfortunately wouldn't recommend to others. For reference, got the duck tagliolini and crispy artichokes.

Loved it!Came here with a friend at 8pm on a Wednesday with no reservation and thankfully they were able to seat us right away at the bar counter. Our server - Julius - was fabulous! He was very entertaining, efficient, and made sure we were well taken care of all night. We ordered:- House baked organic bread- House cured salumi: prosciutto and finocchiona (I'm super picky about this and can confirm it was top quality)- Crisply artichokes (these were gluten-free and I'm SO GLAD that not every restaurant wants to cake flour on anything fried)- Fluke ceviche- Nantucket Bay scallop crudo- Side of potatoes- Cavatelli with fennel-chili sausage, mint, and aged pecorinoNormally I'd write comments about each dish, but EVERYTHING was delicious and I highly recommend. I also really loved the Sangiovese and my friend had a couple cocktails that were great as well. The noise levels were a little high, but otherwise, sitting with other parties at a long, communal table proved to be a fun time. We were toasting with our neighbors and some of them even gave us a bit of the duck dish to try, which was DIVINE. A do-not-miss if you come here. It was cooked perfectly and I loved the smoky flavor on the outside. It was the cherry on top of a fantastic meal.Overall, this is a great Italian restaurant in NYC and reminded me of my trip this summer in many ways. I would definitely return.

I had dinner with a friend at Il Bucio Alimentari on a Wednesday night, and the place was packed. Definitely make a reservation or be prepared to wait. My friend and I sat at the bar which was a nice spot to chit-chat with the bartender and have our drinks refilled quickly. There were so many tasty options on the menu, it was tough to choose what to order. We ended up getting the crispy artichokes, baby carrots, pappardelle and the off-menu pizza with pepperoni. The kitchen will make pizzas (off menu!), and I believe the choices are margherita and pepperoni. This was way too much food for two people, but we were paralyzed with indecision. I really enjoyed the pappardelle, and that would be my must-order.The server was friendly and helped me find a wonderful glass of wine.

Came here off the back of a friend's suggestion and was so pleased with the food & service. Had artichokes & prawns for appetizers and these were excellent. The prawns were cooked in some delish butter sauce & would recommend that you especially get bread to dip in the sauce to savor every flavor. For the mains we had bucatini cacio e pepe (which was neither too saucy nor was it heavy), crab mixed wild rice & whole branzino. I think these were delish and not too heavy though I personally wished they used a softer rice/actual grain. I've had very similar dishes in proper Chinese cuisine and I think my palate is conditioned for a softer grain with it. It's an interesting dish nonetheless. The whole fish was also flavorful without being too heavy (though be warned that it does have a hefty price tag). The meal felt rather light and so we had ample of room for desserts. The flourless cake and olive oil cake we equally light, with the olive oil cake tethering on very Angel food cake consistency. My favorite was the panna cotta which was interestingly drizzled in balsamic. Lastly we had some ice cream and enjoyed the coconut and fennel flavored ones. Will pass on lemon sorbet for next time as it was too tart for me. Also had some spritzes which were truthfully not memorable. Would stick to wines next time. Overall a fun evening. We were seated upstairs which felt quieter but was happy that the service was still attentive. I appreciate how well-staffed they are. The vibe certainly leans younger here though there's were handful of families on our floor. It's very chill though and not at all pretentious.

Found this place by visiting their home decor store where Oscar told us we had to stop in for a cozy evening. Which it was! For not being open for more than a year, this place is incredible. Good vibes, delicious meats, and great wine. We started with the Chilled 2022 Due Uve and had the house selection of Salumi Della. Top meats: Bresaola and Piccante. Our waiter who we didn't get the name of (I think it was Simon) was the perfect mix of attentive but not overbearing. He hooked us up with a couple slices of Geit Smaak cheese, which was very thoughtful.Definitely making this place a priority the next time we pass through!
