My roommate and I have been dying to go here for a very long time and decided that today was the day. We walked over at 4:30 when it opened and it was already busy inside. We put our names down and were texted that our seats were available an hour and a half later so we ate at 6. Luckily, a table became available instead of bar seats and we ended up sitting by the window with a beautiful view of the outside patio. The restaurant was beautiful and the service was good too. We started with the complimentary bread and olives. The bread was amazing and warm (unfortunately not pictured as we ate it quickly haha). We could tell that it was freshly baked. We started with the prosciutto and burrata and the fried artichokes. The prosciutto and burrata were very fresh and tasty. The artichokes had great flavor but I think an aioli on the side would have benefitted them. For our main course we split the lasagna and lemon pasta. Both were amazing but I preferred the lemon pasta. The pasta was somehow perfectly rich yet light and not heavy. The sauce consistency was just right and spiced perfectly. The lasagna had a rich and thick ragu style sauce that had a very deep flavor. I will say the lasagna feels a bit heavy but I would reccomend for first time goers. All around a 10/10 experience and would visit again in a heartbeat.

We lucked out and got a seat at the bar on a rainy Sunday. The staff was very nice and helpful with our questions. We started with a cappuccino and an americano and both were delicious! The only miss for us was the artichoke salad. It was oil-heavy and a bit bland, tho the artichokes and parm were so fresh. Both the spinach ravioli and carmelzied onion pasta were great. Heavier dishes, but the flavors were on point.Portions look smaller, but you'll fill up. I look forward to coming back and trying more dishes!

quite possibly the best lasagna i've ever had. i think it has something like 14 layers?! a group of 3 of us went here for dinner in mid november. the ambiance was lovely and they have such a sweet little back patio (although it was too cold out that night to sit outside). we split the following: burrata and prosciutto, an artichoke salad, lasagna, & pappardelle. everything was delicious. their cocktail menu is full of negronis but i opted for the sage martini which was so refreshing. we were too full for dessert but will definitely be back to try it. overall a great experience.

For Doordash order--Idk if I got them on a bad night or something, but my lasagna tasted more like a glutinous meat cake than sheets of pasta with meat. The sugo part was good, but the noodles were way overcooked. So odd.

I see why this is such a sought-after Italian restaurant in the city. Not to brag, we even managed to walk-in and land on a table. After scouring the city for Cacio e Pepe, this is the best one I've found yet. The spaghetti pasta choice is actually such a great choice, it was cooked perfect al-dente and has an amazing chew. The cheese sauce is so rich and delicious. The standout however was the black pepper. It had such a nice kick and lasting effect, providing a perfect complement to the cheese sauce. The braised short ribs were so tender with a bit of fattiness and melted in my mouth, and the sauce was so rich and a bit sweet too. I was not a fan of the peas that came along with it, it seemed too normal. The lasagna was so interesting. It wasn't like any other lasagna I've ever had. What mille crepe / thousand layer cake is to normal layer cake is what this lasagna feels to normal lasagna. There are so many layers of rich meat and pasta goodness. I've never had texture of meat like this before, the creamy meat sauce is so savory full of flavor. I do wish maybe there was a bit more cheese however, both in the layers and baked on top, for even more flavor and texture. The lamb and mushroom pasta special was also amazing, so rich and with amazing flavor. The burrata and bread service are skippable, we were hoping for a lot more burrata and bread for the price. The tiramisu was amazing and a great way to end the meal. The marscspone layer was light, not too sweet, but so creamy. All the layers were done perfectly. This ended up being one of my favorite Italian spots in the city, and my go-to if I want good cacio e pepe.

Very delicious food in classic environments. We sat at the bar as we did not have a reservation, and our bartender and server was very sweet. I enjoyed that there were multiple specials for the day, which we did get one of, along with two other pastas to share. My favorite was the special, which was lamb and mushroom pasta, and then I enjoyed the lemon pasta as well. I really enjoyed the ravioli, but wish they were in a true butter sage sauce, instead of the creamy cheesy sauce it seemed to have. I think the prices are a bit steep for the food, but I'm also not local to NYC, and understand prices there are just more expensive in general! We wanted some good pasta, and that's what we got. Thanks!

Managed to walk in on a Sunday around 12:15pm and got lucky to get a spot at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and helpful with the menu. We split the fried artichoke and ravioli with spinach, ricotta, butter, and sage. The ravioli was delicious. The lemon pasta was light and melt in your mouth. The meat lasagna was also a winner as it was so easy to cut into -- truly didn't even need a knife. Def recommend a weekday lunch if you're struggling to get in. Super quaint vibes -- almost feel like you're in a country house. Hope to go back again!

Really really good Italian food and great service. The menu is pretty extensive and they have a lot of options even if you're vegetarian. Reservations are hard to get and there usually is a wait if you want to walk in. For apps we for the fried zucchini and mushroom and it was really good. For mains I got the cacio e Pepe and that was absolutely delicious. The portion may seem slightly small but it's extremely heavy and you can share it with someone too.

A lovely meal ruined completely by a nasty and deliberately rude server. Rita's food will never not impress. She's that good. But our server was so unapologetically rude for no reason we could figure out, we would never go back. I'm so completely disappointed. Why would Rita have him run the front of the house? From what I hear, l'm not the only person who feels this way.
