Quaint modern bar in Chinatown. Does have a small upstairs section which probably requires reservations. Otherwise we were able to score 2 seats at the bar.Its main draw is the all you can drink menu for 1 hour. It is a total steal for NYC and the drinks were excellent, although on the sweeter side. Was not able to try the food, but definitely will. Would check this place out if you are near Chinatown/little Italy.

I had passed by this peculiarly-located cocktail bar a few months back and made a mental note to return, if only to see what compelled this intriguing moody establishment to locate on one of the most touristy blocks of the city. The inside was not quite as mysterious as I had envisioned. Maybe the lights were too bright? They specialize in tea-infused cocktails, so I tried a Japanese whiskey infused with oolong, which was good but didn't leave a strong impression. The menu appears to be a mix of Taiwanese and Japanese, including Taiwan's informal national dish, lu rou fan, but we just stuck to drinks.

The Lychee Martini and the Taiwanese Ice Tea Cocktail were my favorites from Huuma--refreshing, well-balanced, and bursting with unique flavors. The bar's drink menu clearly reflects a thoughtful approach to mixology, blending traditional Asian influences with modern techniques. I was particularly tempted by their $27 all-you-can-drink-for-an-hour promotion, which is an incredible deal for anyone looking to explore their inventive cocktail offerings. The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and efficient. The bartender made our group feel welcome, and they were happy to explain the menu and make recommendations. The bar has a cozy yet stylish vibe, with dim lighting and tasteful decor that creates a perfect setting for after-work drinks or a night out with friends. Its location in the heart of Chinatown makes it a convenient spot to visit, and the fact that it's owned by Chinese people adds an authentic touch to the experience. If you're in Chinatown and looking for a unique spot to enjoy expertly crafted cocktails, Huuma is definitely worth a visit.

Great spot that I stumbled across! The food was cheap and delicious! We had the luroufan and the tonkatsu. Both were super good and affordable, i would go again just for that. The drinks were also really delicious. The Highball I had seemed to be like their version of a long island iced tea, but it actually tasted so good. The ambience was also really cool, with a very unique hippo motif. Very fun just looking around at the decor. The one thing that could be improved was the service. I think they just recently opened so the service wasn't a well piled machine yet, but I think they can get there soon. We just had to wait a long while for our order to be taken, and our appetizer was missed.

Honestly, I miss the bao place that was here before.. Was excited to try the new place as they slightly renovated and changed the whole vibe of the place. There was only one person working when we went so the service was VERY slow and because we sat upstairs, half the time we were just staring him down in hopes that he will notice us.. The drinks that we got did not taste like we expected based off the descriptions from the menu, and the skewers seemed very undercooked and wasn't that hot (temperature). The bacon was way too long and we had to chew SO much.. it was also hard to cut it into pieces because it was so undercooked.. The corn wasn't anything fancy and literally just tasted like.. corn. Definitely recommend using the spice that comes on the side of the skewers to elevate the flavors though! Maybe we will sit at the bar next time..

Sleek aesthetic bar space with great cocktails + bites!4.5/5 Taiwanese Iced Tea ($9): loved this earl grey tea based cocktail! The happy hour price was also a great deal for being in Little Italy4.3/5 Bacon Enoki Skewer: nice grilled flavor on the bacon, enoki was on the tougher side, loved the sauce4.5/5 Pork Belly Skewer: loved that they used a leaner cut of pork belly, sweetness and crunch form the scallion was a nice touch too

Tucked in on Mulberry Street in between the tourist-trap Italian red-sauce joints and the tourist merch shops is Huuma, a new café/bar/tearroom/restaurant concept from the owners of Antidote (Williamsburg) and Nemesis (Flatiron). They have a full bar, tea drinks, a nice happy hour, and killer food.Stopped by for lunch and tried the fried oysters, corn ribs, king prawn skewer, and two of their donburi options. The oysters were fried beautifully and tasted very fresh (4 to an order for $8). The highlight was the dongpo pork don which was absolutely fantastic. We had the tasty crispy fish don as well, and I'd imagine their tonkatsu and tori katsu bowls are up to the same standard. All the donburi options are $12 - I could definitely see myself coming here for lunch on a regular basis.

The drinks here are so yummy! Did happy hour with some friends here, we sat in the back on their couches for a nice cozy ambiance. It took a little while to get our orders in, probably would have been faster if we walked up to the bar, but the drinks and food came pretty quickly after. The oolong cocktail was definitely a standout, I'll be back to try more!
