Hole In The Wall - Flatiron

Came here on a weekday evening around 6:30/7pm.There were no reservations available online, but walking in ended up being quicker as there were plenty of tables available inside (about 3 of them were filled when we went in, and the rest were open). The servers were friendly, and we were able to order a few drinks and sweet potato fries from the Happy Hour menu.The restaurant had dim lighting and a calm ambiance with beautiful paintings inside.From the Dinner menu, we ordered the Market Fish, OG Burger, and Pasta, and all were ~$20-30.The dinner items arrived ~20 mins after ordering. The fish was crispy and flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. The mushrooms were soft and warm, and the sauce was a delicious touch.+: ambiance, food, service-: comparable price for area

Food was great. Sat at the bar. I got the Bees Knees, which I recommend you to skip, which is why 1 star is deducted. So I would say food only here, I ordered the pulled pork Benedict and it was delicious! Reminder, skip the drinks and you will be good.

**** 3.5 Stars ***Decent brunch spot that can be somewhat of a wait. Removing half a star because it's not really worth a wait, but if you're in the area and don't want to venture out, this is a solid spot (also, you are likely to come up against a line anywhere you go). Solid choice, but not one worth going out of your way for. I had the power bowl with chicken and was quite happy that they had a healthy option on the menu for me. My friend ordered a burger expecting more of a smash burger, which he saw other people get, but was served a regular burger and they insisted it was the right thing. Shrug. Perhaps we just didn't order well - willing to give it another try!

My friend and I visited Hole in the Wall for brunch recently and had a good experience. The space is very light and airy with natural light, lots of plants and open space. This is a very good place for a brunch experience and I can imagine it absolutely popping during the summer time. We were seated in the main dining room and the first thing I noticed is that it was a little chilly in there. In this weather, they should definitely up the heating a little bit. Service was quick and efficient. I'm the type of person who likes to study the menu before showing up and knew exactly what I wanted. I asked for a Matcha latte with almond milk and extra Matcha. The matcha was a little bit on the watery side, and I do wish the waiter had asked me if I would like it sweetened or not. My friend's latte came out foaming and hot with beautiful latte art on it.For my entrée, I went with the mushroom toast. This did not disappoint although I do wish that there was a little bit more seasoning on the mushrooms and that green sauce on the base was delicious and I would've loved to have more of that maybe drizzled on top or just a thicker layer. The avocado I ordered on the side tasted good. My one complaint is that this toast is a pretty big undertaking. You can't really eat it with your hands and so it should definitely come with a knife. We had to flag down a waiter to give us a knife.Overall, this was a good experience. I am down to come back here to try other things on their menu. Definitely a solid brunch spot in the city.

I liked the Aussie coffee which has ice cream on top which made it creamy and delicious. I had a wild mushroom toast which I liked and my partner had a breakfast burrito which he said tastes normal. A nice brunch spot. I made a reservation beforehand which I recommend.

My friend and her husband recommended Hole in the Wall for brunch and I thought it was pretty decent. Restaurant has a rustic and modern vibe with friendly staff.I got the hot latte and power bowl. The latte was one of the better ones I've had in NYC. It's so smooth, rich, and creamy. The power bowl had quinoa as the base mixed in with different veggies. It was quite flavorful on its own even without added proteins.Highly recommend making a reservation in advance bc the restaurant was packed right before noon time!

Staff is very friendly, atmosphere inviting, music good and food was delicious. The lox was very good. The grain bowl they had was a hit. Food is very healthy.

We saw the high ratings for this restaurant, and since we were in the area decided to stop in for lunch. It has a contemporary decor and feel. It just put me at ease right away. The service was incredible. Not that they were putting napkins in our laps, but it was so friendly, casual, helpful and even served with a decent sense of humor. We were impressed. The menu is on the healthy side, and it was great. My dish was very spicy, but the lattes, salads and sandwiches were all great. They were also priced correctly and didn't pretend to sell you something they are not. What they are is friendly, casual, modern menu. Good place.

Cute little breakfast spot! Loved the staff. It's cashless so make sure you have your credit card. The food tasted fresh and the hot chocolate is delicious. They are exceptional at managing food allergies, so make sure you tell them. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

The food is AMAZING (with the exception of the kimchi. This is not real kimchi. It's just pickled). The staff is also fantastic! We accidently made reservations for the next day for a party of seven. They still got us in, and quick! 100% would recommend.
