The food is always the draw here. We last went on New Year's Eve for their prix fixe dinner and were delighted. Their bar always makes a great drink (margarita and old fashioned for us), then we got corn crab cakes and ravioli as appetizers. The main courses we chose were chicken schnitzel (tender and tasty) and elk chop (amazing!). Their servers remember us and are always friendly and helpful. It's one of the best places for a meal on Henry Street!

Cozy environment but the food is nothing special. The turtle soup lacked anything interesting and the duck was nothing to write home about. Decent but quality doesn't reflect the high price.

Came here with my family for restaurant week, party of 3. Another uncomfortably tight restaurant. Not even the servers can properly get around to fill water cups or deliver food. The food was good but there were some questionable things. First, we had a West Indian shrimp appetizer which was delicious but shrimp could've been cooked more. It was chewy to the point where I spit it out. Next, I ordered the Herb-crusted Salmon and was asked how I wanted it cooked "medium rare or medium". I ordered medium because that was the most cooked option I was given. When it came out I was iffy on it, it had the nice buttery texture but that was because it wasn't completely cooked through. I ended up switching plates with my mom because her chicken schnitzel was too salty for her, and she sent the salmon back to be cooked more. I think they honestly put it in the microwave but she didn't finish it. Dessert was the best thing we had, highly recommend the apple cobbler and flourless chocolate cake! Also, be sure not to miss your reservation or they charge you $50 per person

We had a quick weekend trip to Manhattan and spent a Sunday in Brooklyn. As a lover as all things wild game, i was thrilled when I heard about their wild game menu. 38 years running, HE sports a special menu in the winter months. I couldn't have been more pleased. This family owned restaurant definitely delivers. Warm and cozy inside, we tried the squab dumplings, turtle soup and the elk chops. Each dish was perfectly prepared and was such a nice departure from the usual. Our server (owner's daughter) was great-easy to chat with, welcoming, and provided great recommendations. While there is so many dining options, if ever in the area, I would highly recommend stopping in. You won't be disappointed.

I fabulous neighborhood gem! We had great coffee and cocktails w our brunch. The Egg Torta and Turkey sandwich were both soooo delicious. As was the lemon doughnut. Cozy and casual atmosphere with very nice and attentive waitstaff. Will definitely return.

I went here a few weeks back having originally wanted to go to nearby Inga's but they were closed as some of the staff members had Covid so I stopped here. They have an interesting menu with a mix of game and pasta with a variety of influences. I got their Banana Boulevardier to drink ($15 like all the other cocktails) which consisted of Four Roses bourbon, Dolan dry vermouth, Campari, and Giffard Banane du Brésil. It was sweet of course with a nice bite at the end from the liqueur and I enjoyed it. They gave some bread after I ordered which was tasty and different from those places. My appetizer was the agnolotti with English pea and ricotta with pancetta, grana padano, and mint oil which is $16 or $28 for a dinner sized portion. It was tasty pasta nicely cooked al dente with a good rich filling. I almost liked the topping on top more than the filling because of the nice mix of salty pancetta and the cheese and I thought it was delicious. My main dish was the blackened lamb sirloin which was sliced over mashed potatoes with a BBQ glaze and it was $36. By comparison to my appetizer, There was a good amount of lamb but some pieces could have been a bit more tender but it was still well seasoned; perhaps overly so. I think maybe some people would find it a bit too blackened as it was a bit bitter occasionally. The mashed potatoes were a bit of a throwaway being properly made but a bit bland and overall the main was good but not as good as the appetizer. The prices were a bit high here but the food was tasty. Perhaps a bit pricey for the quality but no major complaints outside of a couple of the pieces of lamb. Low 4.

My husband and I have always had a really lovely time at Henry's End - during the summer, we love to take advantage of the outdoor seating and dine with our pup, and the staff are always super friendly and accommodating.Delicious rotating specials and a great drink menu as well - love the sangria. Portions are generous with quality ingredients, and well-seasoned. They currently have an amazing butternut squash soup. We also look forward to the complimentary bread every time - so fresh and yummy. We've never had an issue with reservations, and while they were extremely busy last week, we asked if we could stop in - owner/host was agreeable and said as long as we could finish up by the next reservation time, he could fit us in. I think communication goes a long way these days, so if you're looking for something and unsure - just ask. Pro tip - sign up for their mailing list and they send a sweet postcard in the mail for $25 off a dinner entree. We'll definitely be back and hope others will continue to support this charming neighborhood spot!

Great waiters and service ! But food very disappointing, my husband had the duck it was gamey and not good tasting at all , I had a veal dish which wasn't bad, but was very tiny portion. My à la carte mashed potatoes tasted like instant mashed potatoes. The salads were blah with not much dressing too bad for a neighborhood place. I've heard this place used to be very good, but for what we paid and the portion size and the quality very disappointing We probably will not return.

The meal was exceptional, the owner found time to match wines and discuss as we had a common interest in wine, his choices were fantastic, the waiter was as close as we have experienced to waiters in Paris, subtle and timely without being intrusive, the coffee was as good as we have found in the USA, and on a par with Italian or Australia, the meals were to die for, we had venison, New York steak w peppercorns and venison, all perfect cut the steak with a butter knife. The ambiance was festive given it was new years and it was only 50 % full, I would have thought given the quality it would be booked out. Fantastic for us and one of the best meals we've had . Anywhere in the world. We were so pleasantly surprised.

The food was incredible, the service exceptional, and the ambiance calm and relaxed. We had an amazing meal with a perfectly matched wine courtesy of the in-house sommelier. What a fabulous find on our first ever foray into Brooklyn. Thank you Henry's End for a great night.
