My friend and I had a 8 PM reservation and were seated quickly. It was very busy but the noise level wasn't obnoxiously loud. The inside was dark and intimate. I had a Tom Collins and she had a NA wine . It was restaurant week but we decided on the full size menu. Restaurant week was $45pp. For appetizers, we shared the Buffalo mozzarella and and market chicories. The salad was large and shareable. I was torn between the meatballs or halibut cheeks. Normally I lean towards meat over fish but I had pasta at lunch and wanted something light. Our server recommended the Halibut, it was meaty and the mushrooms with the seaweed broth had so much flavor. It was a flavor explosion. There were no leftovers. My friend had a pasta with mushrooms as she is a pescatarian. Dessert was the chocolate mousse and the Meyer lemon crostata. I felt lemons and after fish paired together. My girl friend liked my dish more but she wanted indulgence and comfort food. Our server was personable and attentive. Before taxes the bill was about $200

We've been wanting to go to Hearth ever since we heard of the restaurant started by Marco Canora who also is behind Brodo broths. They prioritize farm to table food practices. We got the anchovy crostini app, focaccia, prawns, ribeye, winter squash, and sautéed veggies. Everything was high quality and delicious. I common compliant is over salted good and I did find the potatoes over salted. The bartender and cocktails were top notch. Great low light decor and vibey. The price is steep but I'd recommend giving Hearth a try! Great service as well, very knowledgeable.

Came here for dinner with a party of 9, and we had a lovely time! The staff was very accommodating and even helped some folks check their large bags (some came from the office so they had work stuff with them). The interior is nice and cozy with dim lighting to set the mood. We actually came during restaurant week but didn't end up ordering from that menu given the reviews about small portions/it not being worth it. Thus, we ordered from the regular dinner menu and shared a bunch of dishes. The standouts for me were:- Garlic Bread: so flavorful!- Gemelli alla Norma: I am not usually an eggplant fan, but they tasted great in this dish!- Steak: Now this is pricey, but wowwww it was deliciousFolks have recommended the Beef & Ricotta Meatballs, but I personally didn't think they really stood out. Now, I don't think Hearth is my new favorite Italian restaurant, but it wasn't bad! As others have said, portion size may leave more to be desired for the price. I was content with what I ate and would say this isn't a bad spot to check out for dinner!

Hearth was a 2.5 overall. They have a very nice interior and interesting concepts. Our bartender and servers were fun and helpful with making choices -- the service and ambiance were 5 stars. The drinks were also fresh and unique; the pineapple upside down daiquiri had an interesting umami flavor that i'd go back for but all of the drinks were very good. Unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. The appetizer garlic bread was actually the best dish we had, it had a really nice lemon zest - but $14 for 3.5 pieces of bread felt a little rough. Most of the other dishes - panzanella, variety burger, octopus - were fine but nothing particularly stunning. The dishes all felt pretty oversalted, but the buckwheat pasta was borderline inedible between the salt and the flavor of the cauliflower (which was actually broccoli) and even though we shared it, we didn't finish the dish between 4 of us. Half of the physical dishes were also chipped and inconsistent and that really took away from the presentation of the food. Overall this is a place I'd recommend for high quality drinks, but can't say I'd recommend or go back for the food.

While the quality of the food is good, I'm a little unsure whether the price is justified. We went family style, ordering the fava beans salad, the chicken wings, the meatballs, and the maccheroni. The chicken wings were nothing like we expected, but surprisingly full of flavor. They are TINY btw, and it's basically all skin. Nevertheless, I especially enjoyed the mushrooms in the chicken wing dish. We ordered the rhubarb crostata for dessert but I wasn't a fan. I thought it lacked flavor and for $15 I would've expected some thing of much higher caliber. It tasted like a microwavable dessert from Trader Joe's.Ambience-wise it's very lively, but gets loud at dinner time.

Very good high quality and homemade cuisine, cool cozy and quaint interior environs and also prompt service. Was with a group dinner so didn't get the chance to order my own dishes - and my only complaint was that the portion sizes were a bit small - but I'm sure that's not the case if you order dishes on your own. Great food and recommended if you are in NYC / Greenwich Village!

Came to Hearth for a late brunch on a lazy sunday, and it definitely helped to wake us up. The food was overall very delicious and the staff were very professional. I am now also very interested in trying out their dinner menu on another occassion because it looks amazing too.Shoutout to the olive oil cake, which was a surprisingly refreshing but very scrumptious dessert!

Wine glass covered in dust, some sort of dirt in my water cup. They open at 5, do not come early. The serving sizes are quite small for the price. The hamburger was delicious, well-seasoned, and tender, with perfectly melted cheese. There was no off-taste from any organs. However, the BEEF & RICOTTA MEATBALLS had an unusual taste, and the portion size was disappointing--just three small meatballs for $27. The potato wedges were mediocre, lacking necessary seasoning such as salt and pepper. Despite appreciating their commitment to being seed-oil free and supporting local farms, I would not visit again.

What a cute, cozy place. I also love their focus on using quality ingredients. They use olive oil and grass fed butter, the fish is wild, the meat is grass fed. It's hard to find a restaurant that has all of this in mind when preparing food and maintain such a commitment to using quality ingredients rather than inexpensive ones. Food: The autumn squash was excellent and full of flavor. The wild striped bass was cooked perfectly. I was intrigued by the butternut squash brulee, which was so good. What a unique combination, I really enjoyed it.Definitely plan to come back.

The coziest Italian spot in the east village feels like walking into a well curated, wooden dining room for all. There is a mindful approach to cuisine, the quality is something you can taste and the service is always warm and helpful. Don't skip out on their cafeteria style lunch either!
