I really loved the service at Haymaker. I volunteer for a nonprofit and was planning a get together. Haymaker didn't ask for a minimum spend and offered me a secluded area. Sold. The staff were great. Everyone was super friendly and we had a great experience. The food is fine, some dishes are better than others but you don't come here for the food. Drinks are good and prices are decent. I personally enjoyed the fries, fig flatbread, and the mac n cheese.

Great food and reasonable prices given proximity to MSG! Let's dive in...Deviled Eggs (5/5): These were beautifully piped deviled eggs and the filling itself had this toothsome tang and flavor to die for. Potato cauliflower croquets (5/5): This melt-in-your-mouth shareable made me feel healthy (shoutout to cauliflower) but in reality this was just so tasty I would order it every time. The dish has a delegate breading and a filling that melts like butter when you bite in. Pork Ribs (4/5): Solid pork ribs. Obviously this isn't a BBQ place so it's not the world's best. I found this mildly over-cooked/dry at parts but everywhere else it was falling off the bone. Loved the mini salad it came with though!Drinks (5/5): An increíble selection of beers, cocktails and non alcoholic beverages! Ambiance (4/5): Love the wood flooring and accents, and dimmable lighting throughout. We were seated in the back and one annoying thing was when the front of the restaurant messed with the lights it impacted our area too -- which on one occasion suddenly turned the lights back to 100% which startled us. Service (5/5): Lights aside, service was fantastic despite being in the very back of the establishment. Our server was incredibly attentive. TL;DR: If you're seeing a show at The Garden this place is a must-stop! Great for sharables and at prices you can't beat!!

Great food with a great atmosphere. It can get loud, as expected in a NYC Bar, but we'll worth the visit. Staff extremely knowledgeable and you will find all types of different drinks you won't get anywhere else. Come for drinks, stay for the food. Reservations recommended.

This little sports bar was pretty chill, the service was pretty good the waitress was super nice, and gave nice recommendations. Food was pretty solid also. One thing I wasn't too much of a fan on was the extra salted French fries. They taste pretty good but they could have been better without the extra salt if I'm being honest.

A had a delicious FIG & GOAT CHEESE FLATBREAD there and to drink the June Shine Strawberry Kiwi that even my craft beer connoisseur friend who mocked me for ordering admitted it was good after trying.

We have been stopping here for several years prior to phish at MSG. The food, service and beer selections are excellent. "Lou" (spelling) the bartender is very friendly and she had no problem answering our food and beer questions. She even went through the extra effort of trying to get the Eagles game on the tv for us. I had the double smash burger with bacon and it was A+. Friends had the chicken sandwich and also loved it. It was a tap takeover, so most of the beers were either tilted barn or Lawson's but they also had equilibrium, Hill farmstead, and other world class breweries available. Plenty of wine and cocktail options as well. Highly recommended if attending a show at MSG. Only about 2 blocks from the venue. Cheers.

Haymaker Bar and Kitchen had been on my list to visit for quite some time and was the perfect spot to meet a colleague for happy hour one afternoon. I was able to grab the last 2 bar stools at 3:30 pm on a Thursday. It was not exactly crowded, but the bar seats were all otherwise occupied by men, leaving us as the 2 lone women in the place! Anyway, we grabbed some menus, and I was very impressed by their cocktail, wine, and beer lists, which were vast and diverse. I decided to go for the Spicy Pineapple Margarita, which was a very potent blend of Pueblo Viejo Tequila, fresh pineapple, Fresno pepper, and lime. It was served in a rocks glass with a singular, large ice cube, and, boy, was it strong! Haymaker was perfect for our needs, but I would definitely go back there for a casual meal, group drinks, or pretty much most occasions.

The vibe is like a local hang out bar. It is darker with dim lighting and candles. They have two TVs and several tables around a large bar. Very casual. The service was good. Once we ordered there wasn't much needed it seemed like one server was going around to all the tables. The portions are LARGE so for the price in NYC it's pretty good. The Brussels were kinda soggy from the sauce but had a good flavor and the blue cheese wasn't too overpowering. I got the Cauliflower dish, it was just ok. My cousin got the chicken confit and as shown we were very worried if it was cooked or not, it was cooked through but wasn't golden brown like a confit should be. They said that's just the way it's made. They had an extensive drink list but we didn't order any . Most people there seemed to be there for after work drinks and apps.

Really great place to stop for drinks and food in the vicinity of Penn Station and MSG. Robust beer selection , great service, and delicious food! We split a few plates: the sweet chili wings were amazing and the perfect level of sauce to wing ratio, definitely living up to the hype. We were HUGE fans of the buffalo chicken flatbread - the chicken was delicious, and the blue cheese as the "sauce" on the flatbread brought everything together so well. The nachos were a bit soggy from the amount of toppings out in them, but I can't complain about too many toppings when all too often the problem with nachos is not enough. And the fries were delicious - but they are thick cut so won't be super crispy, so if that's a deal breaker for you, be forewarned. Will definitely be back here before events at MSG again!

Glad we happened upon this place while waiting for the train. On-point margaritas and beer selection. Loved the fig and goat cheese flatbread. Chill, unrushed service. Will return.
