After being in search for an authentic Vietnamese spot in NYC after moving here, this was the first spot that I went to. We got reservations (and I highly recommend doing the same) and got seated immediately. Service was very friendly here and quick. When I went, I got the salad rolls and the bone marrow pho with the fried dough on the side. The salad rolls were a good portion and it came with a peanut sauce that paired perfectly with the rolls. The pho itself was also delicious, and definitely Northern-style pho. The broth was clean, light, and there were chili and garlic to pair with the pho. The bone marrow added so much flavor, so I highly recommend getting it. We also tried some cocktails here and it was great! Pretty solid spot for Northern-style pho.

Hanoi House serves up some truly delicious Vietnamese dishes that are hard to beat. The flavors are authentic, and you definitely don't want to miss the Papaya Pig Ear Salad. It's a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The Bone Marrow Pho is another standout, with rich, savory broth and tender meat that elevates the pho.The service is friendly and efficient, with the staff making sure your meal comes out just right. One thing to note is that the space is pretty tight, so it can feel a bit cramped, especially during peak times. However, if you're after some delicious Vietnamese food, it's well worth the experience.

This review is for weekend dinner. Had a reservation for 2 people - no line, but tables were consistently full and restaurant is pretty small. Not likely good for groups 4-6+. Overall this is a solid spot if you're craving pho. Broth tastes really good & traditional, but doesn't come with all the "typical" fixings (bean sprouts, basil, lime wedges, Hoisin, etc) and some of the meat options are limited (eg: no meatballs), so if you want a truly traditional experience I wouldn't necessarily recommend. I ordered:-Papaya & Pig Ear Salad: don't be nervous to try this - it's really good. Salty, savory, slightly tangy, crunchy. You can't even tell it's pig ears - they're deep fried and delicious. -Classic Hanoi Style Beef: I got the filet & brisket. Recommend.

A cozy, cute restaurant in the East Village. It does kind of feel like a house inside! I had a reservation so we were seated immediately. we got the pig ear salad to start and it was great. The tart papaya in the base was so refreshing and balanced nicely with the richness and saltiness of the pig ear. I definitely recommend trying that appetizer. I got the house special pho as my main, and it comes with an entire bone marrow piece and fried Chinese breadstick. It's definitely very heavy so keep that in mind. I have high standards for pho so I was looking forward to trying this. I thought the broth was alright and there were a lot more noodles than I would have liked. However I did enjoy the meats, they tasted high quality to me. The ratio of noodles to meat just wasn't my ideal. Interestingly, this place serves pho with pickled garlic and a chili sauce that I'd never tried before (and I'm Vietnamese). Maybe their own spin on the classic Sriracha/hoisin sauces. I also tried their pho banh mi which comes with a small bowl of pho broth for dipping. I really enjoyed that and they did not skimp on the meat on the sandwich which I appreciated. Service was attentive. Overall, this place was decent. My favorite dish was the pig ear salad but I've had better pho.

I was really excited to try this place but left pretty disappointed. I ordered the classic pho and thought that it lacked flavor. Our server was rude and seemed annoyed when we asked a question about the menu, and even when we asked for water. The place itself is cute and pretty big.

Made a reservation for dinner and was seated in a cozy corner. We got the pork ear salad and clams for appetizers. The salad had a wonderful dressing and the pork ears were crispy although there wasn't that much. The clams were nice and plump. The ones at the bottom of the bowl tasted better since they were in the sauce. I got a chicken pho which had a nice broth and the noodles were lovely. There was a good amount of chicken. This place doesn't do bean sprouts or the usual chili sauce. The chili sauce they had was something new but wasn't really to my taste. Price was reasonable for the area.Service was good and attentive. The inside was cozy with dim warm lighting. The section where we were sitting had tables quite close to each other so it was difficult to get through to seats without sticking your butt into other people's space.

I had the crispy spring rolls to share for appetizer and it comes with two egg rolls split into six. I liked the pho which came with bone marrow, but wish there were slightly more noodles. There was a good amount of meat. Service is good and we made a reservation in advance.

Pho was so flavorful and the standout is the broth. It was rich, aromatic, and hearty! We did sit outside and it was pretty cold but they offered us blankets.

A stellar Vietnamese restaurant with a unique take on pho and other staples.I got to try Hanoi House after hearing about it for months and was not disappointed. Nearly the whole table got some sort of Pho with various meats. Most of us tried it with the bone marrow--a surprising but not necessary upgrade. It was certainly very flavor and rich as one would expect. Though I'm not sure the price justifies the taste.Regardless, service was fast and attentive. We were sat right under an AC unit so it was very cold inside despite it being a relatively hot summer day outside.

Hanoi House is cute and cozy with lots of seating available, even for a large party. Service was quick and efficient, even with my group of 8. We were seated right away for lunch and our orders were taken in a timely fashion. We all ordered pho and it was the perfect meal on a cold day.
