This is the second halal munchies place I've gotten. I loved the location in queens so when I found out theres a location by my job, I had to try it. I ordered combo on rice with $1 half pita bread and double fries, which ended up being almost $13. The fries are really seasoned well and crispy. This is an uncommon complaint but there's not enough rice. I think it was just one scoop. It doesn't fill up the entire tray. In the queens location, if I order double fries, I will still get the salad as well as double fries but that's not the case here. The meats are good and flavorful, typical of most halal spots. I don't love the white sauce though. It's a lil different than most other halal places. Overall, I would recommend and I don't know why others are giving it so low a score. I would get it again.

This is a new Halal spot with a mix of your classic American food such as burgers and chicken with a couple Middle Eastern things you would more commonly find from one of the many well halal carts such as gyros to kebabs to kofta which are all in the form of platters or wraps. Cashier in front was fine. The space is massive and way too big for what they're offering and the music which was mostly Spanish hits was booming in here. They apparently have a couple other locations and from what I can tell the original spot is in Fresh Meadows but I hope the food there is better than here because otherwise I have no clue how they became popular enough to have so many spots. The name "Munchies" is right because you must be high or drunk to enjoy the grub. For pros, they give you a massive portion. However, the first time I had under-seasoned greasy fries and oily fried chicken. The second time trying to see if their well Middle Eastern stuff was better, I had the worst kofta I have ever had which tasted a bit underdone and I had to frankly throw it away. I don't mind a grease bomb if it tastes good and I have an iron stomach when it comes to certain less properly made foods but the food here just doesn't taste right. There's so many better Halal spots in the area from 8-Bit if you want halal burgers/fries/chicken, A Gyro for the well halal stuff even if they are a bit pricier, and of of course all the actually good spots on Atlantic Avenue. The fact this place makes all those spots looks like they're gourmet says a lot. I was going to give them probably a 2/upper 1 after the first time I was here for the portion sizes for the chicken and the fries but the kofta was so laughably terrible and tasted so off, I can't give them anything higher than a 1.

got the mix combo over rice wit the barbecue sauce and fries (next time imma go for the white sauce). nothing crazy amazing but solid halal plate option. the guy at the counter was very nice and service was good. food wise i liked the lamb a little more than the chicken, the rice was pretty yum, the salad was lame tho like a couple puny slices of cucumber, raw onion, and a clump of lettuce. ik we're not usually eating an over rice platter for the veggies but it rlly stuck out to me here. main takeaway--good price, solid portion, pretty good taste, the place itself seems chill too like i'd sit down there with a couple friends fs. also their fries r seasoned here which is rlly nice.

If I could give zero I would, I get my food and it has a hair in it, I called and they have no remorse or no solution to give me. The person on the phone was so rude and disregarded my issue by continuously saying "everything is there" yes that's not the issue is the hair. Eww
