Gyro King

Bay Ridge doesn't mess around about being closed on Mondays! Many restaurants, despite the Halloween festivities, were closed. But not gyro kingI stopped in to grab some takeout to eat outside, but come to learn they have a dedicated seating area inside with about 5 tables. Food was fresh and tasty. Appreciated the unlimited side salad. The staff member was attentive as well.

Food is always on point and better than the halal carts. I'd say I would make it my exclusive halal place. Good bang for your buck also. The staff is always nice and the ambiance is a limited in table seating. Overall would recommend.

Great place for a tasty, reasonably priced, and filly lunch.Food: I ordered the Lamb Pita and my boyfriend got the chicken and lamb combo platter with rice.  They have a full toppings bar where you can add whatever you want to the pitas/platters like onions, lettuce, tomato etc. Everything was delicious and really filling.Price: super reasonably priced. Our total for both items was $15. It's really hard for two people to eat for less than that around here, so really worth it in my opinion.Service: staff was friendly and patient with us as we each picked out items from the salad bar to add to our dishes.Ambience: Nowhere to sit down here, so take-out/delivery only. Salad bar seemed clean and fresh.

All Gyro kings are pretty consistent. Hefty amount of food for a reasonable price. Food can be pretty salty so grab a drink. I always get the gyro combo over rice. Always.

The new Gyro King recently opened in Bay Ridge, dishing out heaping platters of rice, salad, meats, and falafel at affordable prices. I ordered chicken with rice ($6.99), and was very pleased with the giant portions of rice, chicken, and salads. The rice and chicken were both seasoned with lots of spices, and the chicken, mixed with peppers and tomatoes, wasn't dry at all. The salad was fine, just a collection of fresh vegetables, but I liked that it included chickpeas. They have a bunch of sauces, including the usual white and hot sauce, and you can always add extra sauce (or just add them all yourself) from the sauce bottles in the dining area. There's a comfortable dining area with some booths and tables, and they have a bathroom in the back. It's great to have another counter service place in the neighborhood, especially one with such tasty food for great prices!

The food here is great! It tastes amazing, and it's inexpensive. $25 for me and my kids, with drinks and dessert, and lots of left overs. I'm sorry, i ate my lamb chicken combo over salad so fast, you guys didn't even get to enjoy seeing it! Kids got the chicken tikka over rice with chickpeas and salad on the side, an order of fries, and two pita breads. I got lamb and chicken over salad. We got two baklava and some juice boxes and a soda. Delicious, and $25 total.

Food is very good but finding out their hours of operation is a like a bad joke. Online says 11pm. No way. They also cannot be counted on to have every thing on the menu. They frequently run out of things, once again well before their alleged closing time.

The chicken over rice is fresh and delicious. It has the perfect amount of seasoning on both the chicken and the rice. The portion is fairly large. I usually get 2 orders and it's the perfect amount to share with my 10 & 12 year old.

Wife and I ordered two gyros and a spinach pie to go last night and they were both basically inedible. They meat they put on it was tough and dried out, the tomatoes and lettuce were not fresh and the spinach pie was burnt. Very disappointed.
