This place really should be named "The Barely Acceptable Dragon,* because there is nothing remotely "great" about it.I will give it an extra star for not producing anything gross. But the food is tasteless and just plain meh.Shrimp with lobster sauce could have come from a grocery frozen food section. The egg roll was soggy and had nothing but cabbage inside. Lo mein was the usual greasy tangle of noodle with little bits of celery and not much else. I threw the incinerated wings away after on bite.Have a couple of slices of pizza and save your Chinese food moment for Wo Hop on Mott Street, where even hoards of tourists have not been able to affect the enduring excellence of the almost extinct Chinese-American chow. Don't waste your money or your appetite on mediocre places like Great Dragon.

We have been going here for about a year now and although I have other Chinese food spots closer to me I prefer their Chinese food. The baby fried shrimp is never to greasy and the fried rice is good. Price wise I would say is fair not to expensive. The wait overall isn't too long either

I've been eating here on and off for over 30 years. Food is always good and service is fast. Considering how many similar restaurants exist on 8th Avenue, it says something as to their longevity.

I used to avoid The Great Dragon because it was dingy and dumpy. However, I noticed they renovated and since I had recently had a bad experience at Kim Wei (across the street) I thought I'd give them a shot. I ordered the Half Chicken w/ Pork Fried Rice w/ a Welch's Grape Soda for $6.95. Essentially this is 4 pieces of fried chicken (Breast, Thigh, Leg, Wing) on a bed of pork fried rice--- not a bad deal. The chicken was juicy and crispy as what I'd expect from a good Chinese take out. The fried rice was made with roast pork, onions and bean sprouts (a nice touch). The rice was a bit greasy but at least it wasn't soggy/clumpy. They also provide hot chili oil if you ask. Overall the meal was above expectations and I'll come back to try other things on the menu.

Order spare ribs and Chicken and Broccoli. Fried rice is also really good. But the ribs are fresh, flavorful and charred. Really recommend them for the price. Not sure about everything else on the menu, but if you want chinese spare ribs or boneless spare ribs, this is a cheap good place to go.

Only giving this place this review because the delivery guy with the attitude who smokes, wrote something in chinese or korean characters on a sign we have on our door for package deliveries. We have no idea what it says since we can't read this language. But regardless of what it says it was uncalled for and very disrespectful, it's essentially vandalism in a very minuscule form. It was unwarranted as well since he was tipped and not once were we rude to him or demanding in any way. He might have had a bad day but we personally did nothing to him to warrant such a ridiculous act.I also don't like the way the restaurant handled this situation when we told them what happened. He said he'd talk to the driver, well that's not enough. We can't safely order from here ever again for fear he might spit in our food since he had the nerve to do this.

This spot is good for cheap and pretty good food. It's your typical Chinese food. I had the chicken wings and they were my least fav. Not much flavor and seemed to be cooked in old oil maybe? However the sweet and sour chicken is amazing! Very fresh, and nice and crispy. All the other food is good as well. On top of that, the two people I've interacted with there are very very nice.

I love this place. It's a small Chinese restaurant on a nondescript corner in Sunset Park, not much to look at, but the food is always fresh and served quickly. Whether you're picking it up, calling the old fashioned way, or ordering through a delivery app, they take care to get your order correct. Communication is important. Hot and sour soup is usually neither hot enough nor sour enough when I've ordered it from similar places; theirs is just right--maybe a tad sweet but one of the best in the city. I also recommend the mei fun noodle dishes. Typically, I order veggie and seafood entrees. Never a bad experience. Support this solid local business if you're hungry and in the neighborhood.
