This little slice of France is nestled in a random-ish alley but the entrance is inside a building. Definitely a little hard to find but for the holidays they had it decorated which helped. We made reservations but it wasn't too crowded and had plenty of seating. It was a quiet brunch and service was friendly and fast. We did feel a bit rushed when the hostess said she could only seat us at the windows if we would be able to finish before a certain time due to another large group reservation. We did end up finishing before they arrived but it didn't feel like the best thing to say before seating someone, especially when there were other open tables near the windows. The food was excellent! Even my sister, who isn't a big fan of breakfast, loved her granola bowl. It was definitely hearty and warm which was nice for the cold weather outside. Definitely would come back to try out the dinner selection.

After hearing about this place a few months ago, I decided to give it a try on Valentine's Day. (No Pressure) Made a reservation with ease, about 2 weeks prior. Their website had great pictures of both dining areas; Main (in the hall of GCT) and Green Room (which should be called Red Room)I decided on the Green Room; looking more intimate and being red, it would go with the Valentine's Day theme. I was right !!! As a bonus, the Green Room is filled with photographs of Old New York as well as Classic Rock-n-Roll Bands. A nice touch was receiving a text asking if I'd like a rose for the table. Uhhh ...YES !!! We were seated in a comfy booth facing the door and the wall of booze. I was a little bummed about it, but at least there wasn't a cold wind blowing in, every time the door opened. The menu is big and there were a few specials for the holiday. We ordered a drink, and then the long stem rose arrived Phew !!. So we ordered a bunch of stuff; Tuna Tartare to start, which was excellent. So much so, that we ate it with a spoon and ignored the chips that came with it. The Seafood Tower was pretty much standard with the usual suspects. All good, except the lobster was a bit overdone. For the mains we had the Lamb Chops & Skirt Steak. Both were excellent and cooked to perfection. Add a side of Pommes Puree was tasty, but had the consistency of spackling paste. The dessert menu had so many interesting choices, that it was hard to choose just one. But we settled on Lemon Mille-Feuille. Which was amazing along with 2 Espresso's to finish off the meal. , I was a little nervous about eating here, since I didn't do the usual research. Plus the wife heard negative things as well. Happy to say it wasn't a "Flop"

Great choice for a good meal in a convenient location right in Grand Central Station. We started with the Foie Gras Mousse and the Onion Soup - both were very good. For our mains we had the French Dip, Cheeseburger and the Duck Confit - all solid.Wonderful decor in the Green Room where we were seated. Friendly and attentive service.

Beautiful layout, extensive rooms with strong food and fantastic service. (Shout out to Nelson who entertained, served and guided us on several aspects of the meal - definitely made the visit much better.) Metrazur was my favorite restaurant in the Grand Central area... providing stunning views of the stars on the ceiling of the main terminal... but it sadly closed several years ago, leaving a void. Grand Central makes up the shortfall and goes further. What an exquisite refurbishment with enormous walls of bottles backlit, to the towering ceilings and lots and lots of tables nicely spaced separated by flowers and furniture interruptions. In the Green room a slightly more enclosed space, the walls are decorated with hundreds of black and white photographs of behind the scenes television performances. Food was excellent, if slightly over done with butter. IF I was to be picky, the dearth of bathrooms can be a factor on a busy night. Otherwise, pick the Green Room for large groups and enjoy!

I had an awesome time at Grand Central station, stopping at Grand Brasserie to have my gossip girl moment was the highlight of my evening. There was a live squash tournament that I got to watch and enjoy while having a mock tail. The staff were super friendly & the mock tail was great.

A table for 2 in the Green Room is the perfect ambiance for a Valentine's Day (or any day) you want a quiet and intimate meal. We were promptly sat at a crescent booth and soon after a server came to offer water and read the specials. EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious, I have no complaints and we were very pleased with our meal. Tuna tartare, a seafood tower, lamb chops, skirt steak, Mille feuille for dessert and espressos--delicious. Thanks for the memories! Hope to come back soon.

We enjoyed this new, smack in the center of GC Terminal spot on 2 occasions. It is the perfect place to grab a cocktail prior to heading on your way and also a perfect meeting spot. This location, despite the name, is not part of another Brasserie chain. The space is truly stunning, especially when it was decorated for the holidays. The back section is even nicer with a beautiful wrap around bar and numerous intimate seating areas. Drinks are priced reasonably, similar to most anywhere in the city. Food was good..I had the escargot pot pie lol..it was literally a million little escargot in a cup shaped delicious pie crust. I know that we will be back many times. Service was very good, younger servers. Why wait for your train down on the nasty tracks when you can people watch up top with a perfectly made cocktail ?

I came to this restaurant with my friend. She wanted to try it, so I said ok. It's inside the Grand Central terminal on the ground level on the 42nd Street side, above the oyster bar. This is an open-space restaurant and bar. The wait was quite long. The food was excellent! Juan was our waiter for the night. He was professional and attentive. We ordered escargot to start. It was interesting to see it served differently than usual. It came in a big cup covered with a puff pastry. All escargots were inside this cup. Then I had a duck confit, and my friend ordered steak. I loved my duck confit. It was juicy and tender with a nice flavor. I approved the Chef. He didn't need my approval, but I needed that recipe! We had a nice meal and thought it was worth it. The food and service were great!

Our revenue team was in NYC for meetings and we wanted to try something nearby and memorable. The venue is without hesitation incredible- just beautiful and also comfortable with great banquets. I would call the venue "inspiring". The breakfast items were simply excellent- from the pancakes, quiche, and eggs all were special in their preparation. I am a pancake aficionado, and this presentation was just great- world-class- with fruit toppings and real maple syrup served warm. Coffees were also excellent. it does really come back to the food quality though and they really excel in this area. Kudos to Manager Angel Liu who was helpful.

This restaurant was way better than I anticipated. Went to brunch on a Sunday - I've been to several restaurants inside Grand Central terminal - some were good and others were mediocre so I didn't have any expectations. There are two areas for dining - the "outside" which is basically sitting in the terminal where depending on where your table is you can watch people walk around. The second area - "inside" is absolutely beautiful! It's dimly lit which gives it a nice ambience and the bar area is gorgeous - nice lighting to highlight all the bottles and good music playing - it's definitely a nice spot for a date. They do offer a three-course pre-fix menu but I found it odd that they would charge extra for a burger - so I ordered the burger from the regular menu lol.The burger was good - it's actually two patties (I'm not a two patty girl but it wasn't stated on the menu and I had no idea). It came with all the fixings and fries it was cooked well and was very good. For dessert I had the creme brûlée - it was really good as well. I enjoyed my meal immensely.Definitely worth trying if you're in the area.
