Go Sushi

Unassuming local neighborhood sushi gem that serves probably one of the freshest sashimi I had for a takeout sushi spot. You can't go wrong with any of the sushi/sashimi items on the menu. My go to order is the Sushi & Sashimi Dinner or 6 roll party tray for potluck/sharing with groups. Amazing, quality sushi for a fair price!

I ordered the crab Rangoon, Maki Combo C, and Maki Combo A.First off, the crab rangoons were all cream cheese. There were no crab pieces at all! Second, the cream cheese was like coagulated/cottage cheese like consistency. The Maki Combo A was decent and pretty standard maki. Salmon, tuna, and yellowtail were all fine. The Maki Combo C was where everything went downhill. The spicy tuna/spicy salmon rolls tasted soooo weird. I've never had a spicy tuna roll that tasted like that before. Perhaps it was because it was towards the end of the day so the sushi might not be as fresh. Another thing was the consistency. The spicy salmon roll is like mashed salmon, rather than a chunk of salmon. I've never had a salmon roll where the fish was chopped/processed. I've only ever had spicy tuna prepared like that.Pretty disappointing meal and don't think I'll be trying this place again.

Pretty fresh sushi and delicious! Service was quick and easy. I took it to go but doesn't seem like there's room to dine in. Please note that this location is no longer on Madison, it's on Allen Street. I live 2 mins away from Madison and so, I get there and call, only to be told this is on Allen, which means I needed to walk 10 minutes more for sushi. I mean boohoo, no big deal but would've been nice to know! So make sure you call and confirm their location! Otherwise, great sushi - easy simple and very affordable!

I've probably had way too much raw fish this month, but the craving of that umami cannot stop me. I know I shouldn't order sushi & sashimi on Sundays or Mondays as a rule of thumb, but what the heck?I ordered 4 items from Go Sushi including Sushi Sashimi Combo Dinner ($29.95), Maki Combo B($18.95), Lemongrass Chicken Dumpling($6.95), Tricolor Sushi Dinner ($24.95). It was a feast for three people. I barely finished my Sushi Sashimi Combo. It was so plentiful and fresh. The Lemongrass Chicken Dumplings were alright though.

What a great late night healthy snack in a small quiet fluorescent lit spot.The Chinese people who run this place are super friendly, practical, professional, and fast.

Great hole in the wall place on Madison! Not a dine-in establishment but the food is great for not having many sushi options in the area! Lots of selection available for rolls and some great lunch specials. Salmon teriyaki meal was pretty generous but they could offer soup/salad with it. Lunch combos come with choice of soup or salad. I'd definitely order from here again!

Amazing value for no frills sushi and the best you can get after midnight in New York City. Most sushi at this price point isn't fresh and noticeably under flavorful but Go Sushi is fresh and tasty, but nothing crazy. A really great lower Manhattan find I tell everyone about!

I come here a lot. The sushi and sashimi is made on the spot. You get to watch them make it when you're there. They do deliveries and pick up. The lunch deal is affordable. This is a hidden gem on the wall. Everyone is nice.
